Hi Vanessa, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Our family business got started as an accidental covid born business. With much of our family being in the travel industry at the time, and looking for a way to make ends meet, we started a luxury picnic business that expanded to 3 cities. (Austin, Dallas, Houston) A year later we added the marquees service and this is where the focus moved toward. We were able to make some great connections in the community and were blessed to have some amazing and loyal customers that not only returned for our services, but referred us to their network and naturally helped us grow the business. Now we are expanding once again with our coordinating services for events of all occasions.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
As with any business, there are always rough patches and lessons learned. Elite Marquee & Events is no different. Learning to keep up with inventory, demand, and requests was an early struggle. Working with family across multiple cities provided valuable business lessons along the way. And finding a way to juggle family, business, obstacles, and more has definitely brought this journey some interesting stories to tell.

Elite Marquee provides 3ft and 4ft LED marquee displays for all occasions. We are well known for our versatile display options and customization. We didn’t invent this product or service, but we definitely wanted a way to stand out from established companies. From the materials selected, building our inventory in house, font and design templates, our custom shapes, and lighting selection, we knew we wanted to offer quality and versatility. We are not perfect, but we are proud of the effort and success our family has made thus far.
