yep. The online irony-poisoned 4chan nazis have merged with the drug-fried granola cranks and conspiracy-brained sex-pests.

I mean there is some truth to it, the nihilist groyper edgelords come out of a childhood of being exposed to things like gore and extremely hardcore pornography online. 4chan was just a cesspool of this stuff. They have been desensitized to violence just like the shell shocked proto-nazis in weimar

No, he had a hippie aesthetic and a pro-drugs, pro-sex libertarian attitude, so the woo-to-Q pipeline was inevitable, assault allegations regardless (which were also inevitable).

If I recall correctly, his pivot to right wing happened around 2022 when youtube deleted one of his videos for Covid Denialism. He moved to rumble after that. He received a wave of sexual assault allegations in 2023.

His right wing slide began when what did was still called "The Trews" and that was like 10 years ago. He became an outright far right guy in like 2021.

I'm not very familiar with that show. I searched The Trews on youtube. One of the very last episodes, titled Episode 371, uploaded in 2016, has Russel Brand saying that socialism is good and quoting Karl Marx. In 2017, Russel Brand endorsed Jeremy Corbyn.

I don't know the specifics, I just remember people in left wing spaces calling him out as a right winger back during those days. My personal experience starts during Covid where he would go on right wing rants influenced by the covid conspiracy milieu.

There was a time when I believed he was still left wing and just trying to reach an audience who were full of brainworms so that they could be pulled left. Up until it became obvious it was a pivot after all the sexual allegations.

    I was wrong as fuck.

Let me guess, it's gonna be a "No! I'm more racist than you!" competition? Are they gonna try to compete on how many slurs they can throw out? Are they gonna try to maximize their HPPM (Hitler Particles Per Minute)?

Fuckin' Nazis. What is there to legitimately discuss? The fact that they're horrible people? Not in a trillion years with them.

The first season of Eric Andre had all fake celebrity guests. From the screenshot below, you can see that the impersonator is not actually Russel Brand.

Does Russel Brand even own any shirts anymore? He doesn't seem like he's trying the "angry sweaty shirtless guy" thing consciously, it's like his last shirt just got too ripped to wear and he never bothered to get any new ones.
