  • No, they're so afraid of the Republicans that they'll fall in line and vote blue no matter who.

Welllllll… would they? I think a lot of that rhetoric comes out of people in a comfortable assumption that it’ll be a “sensible centrist” that will win the primary and it’s the left that has to hold their nose when they vote. If it’s someone who’s to the left of Elizabeth Warren, you’d be seeing a bunch of “why it’s okay for liberals to vote for Tom Cotton” op-eds.

  • Question is, how long will the continent put up with absorbing the fallout of America’s decline that America shifts from itself to them before the political and economic strain is too much? Right now the Russo-Ukrainian war has upped the tolerance, but once that comes to some sort of conclusion, it’s going to become increasingly obvious that Europe is getting the short end of the stick on the deal and that China is offering much better terms.

It all points, imo, to the American downfall as being one of those “gradually and then all at once” scenarios. Eventually the one key support pillar will crack, we probably don’t even know for sure which one it is, and everything quickly snowballs around its collapse.

  • Hesbollah must disarm

What, so Lebanon is even more of a sitting duck to Israeli bombing and invading? This is the rot within the “international rules and order” crowd, they’ll finger wag at both parties, but when it comes actual consequences it’s only the countries outside of the imperial core that get them, those within suffer nothing more than the talking down to.

  • The margins in Kamala’s loss were way bigger than the totals for all the third party candidates, and certainly more than all the accelerationist revolutionaries out there. Kamala lost because normies felt that things got worse under Biden and Kamala was promising no significant departures from his policy. But of course, for shitlibs the party can never fail the people, only the people can fail the party.

When the Chinese display military might, that’s a sign that they are a dangerous aggressor to the world. When they don’t display military force, they’re being irresponsible in not providing a counterbalance to the US.
