Pumpkin Face

We're well into the Halloween season now, and nearing the end of October.

That's why this headless chicken ghost is chasing you. I'm not sure if the bird is unusually large or this is a particularly small pumpkin

Ghostly

 

What makes a ghost? Is it simply a lack of colors and floating in an undefined word of crossing lights?

Of course not. It's also being a bit less than alive.

Spooky Ghost

A sheet is quite the costume when there's a real ghost underneath.

This is a chicken though so rather than a sheet this is probably just a pillowcase. Or maybe even a handkerchief. 

Egg Ghost

The egg yolk took shape as the fowl spirit was roused and a ghastly sizzle came up from the frying pan.

This was simply the daily breakfast experience when you were a ghost hunting farmer. 

Wisps

 The wispy ghosts float around the bird in the dead of night. Were they his friends? His foes? A horrible vengeful occurrence? They do seem rather worm-like...

Solider

Not a soldier, but as a statue it is objectively more solid than any ghost that might be haunting it.
 

Sheet

That isn't a ghost. It's just some guy in a sheet. Yeah, I guess he's a few inches off the ground. Why are you making a fuss about something like that?

Happy Halloween everyone.

Floating Ghost

This is all blue, but I'm not making a thing of it this time. It's just the one mono-blue piece. It was going to be gray, but as you know... ghosts are blue probably. It was also going to be just a vague aesthetic thing, but the wavy bottom is obviously a ghost.

Old Computer

Getting a new computer is exciting. Brand new and not yet bogged down by everything you will slowly put back on it. But the old computer carries a lot on it. Random photos I saved. Video clips I downloaded. Half done things I've long forgotten about. While they're too immaterial to even call memories those traces blow away.

Now the room I'm likely to actually stick my computer once I decide my new one is actually working has bright sunshine and gaudy orange walls but that really impression I was looking for with this piece. Also my old computer doesn't have a vague chicken color aesthetic and a ghost in it. It's just black.

Falling Flames

 

This was meant to be something like a fading firework but the falling colored lights feel more like a sort of ghost fire. Not the normal way to ring in the new year, but it will have to do.

Full Moon Night

Without the expected trick or treaters the reveling ghosts and ghouls stood out all on their own this fateful Halloween night.

Ghost Bird

The flying spectral head of a fallen bird streaked across the room, laughing and crowing. The uneven shape left some with cruel accusations that it was actually a dog, leaving it sad and depressed.

Blue Ghost

I know we're done with spooky, but this seemed ghostly due to the very unnatural colors. The sharp contrast of the white with the dull blue shades makes the figure really pop.

Ghost in the Skillet

An old man pulled out a skillet, preparing for dinner. Heating some oil he dug in the refrigerator for some boneless skinless chicken breasts he had taken out to thaw a few days earlier. The man couldn't find them, and turned back to the stove, only to see the terrifying sight of a ghastly chicken forming over the skillet. In terror the man fled from his home.

Ghost Path

Welcome to Spooktober, the most spooky month of the year. When travelling this month please keep in mind that mysterious spectral paths are almost always evil and you should avoid them. Please keep this service announcement in mind.

Boo

Yeah, I realized midway through making my chicken ghost... This is also blue.

Spooky Ghost

This is an inversion of a standard (brown) chicken in a dramatic pose. It felt rather ghastly so I felt I should accept it is a ghost.

Tennis Ghost

I've heard some claim about the greatest tennis player of all time in recent weeks. So long as they are excluding ghost chickens they might be right, but this is the greatest tennis player of all time.

Ghost as Chicken

This is not a chicken, but it is trying it's best to pretend.
