00:11 Segamat OCPD Superintendent Ahmad Zamri Marinsah on Saturday said that the victims included

00:17 a husband and wife aged 46 and 43, along with their three daughters aged 17, 13 and 10,

00:26 and their five-year-old son, who were travelling in a Perodua Auza.

00:30 Meanwhile, another victim, aged 15, who suffered serious injuries, is still being treated.

00:37 The incident occurred at 6.30pm on Friday and is believed to have happened when an SUV

00:43 heading in the direction of Kuantan slowed down after encountering road repair work ahead.

00:49 The lorry, which was carrying sand, failed to brake in time and the driver lost control

00:54 of the vehicle before colliding with the back of the SUV.

00:59 The impact caused the lorry to veer into the opposite lane and collide with a car travelling

01:04 towards Kuantan.

01:06 The incident also resulted in accidents involving two other vehicles.

01:11 The lorry driver suffered serious injuries while the occupants of the SUV and two other

01:16 vehicles were unharmed.

01:19 The case is being investigated under Section 41, Subsection 1 of the Road Transport Act,
