And you're always welcome here, you're always getting a fantastic and warm welcome.
00:05
Hi, I'm Stevie and I'm from London and I regularly come to Glasgow Film Festival.
00:10
My history started back in 2012 when I first came up here for Frightfest and then a couple
00:19
of years later I started coming to the actual festival itself and ever since then I've never
00:23
looked back and I've just constantly been watching more and more films during the festival
00:30
and spreading the word to everyone else that can come up to the festival for the 12 days.
00:36
And what is it about Glasgow Film Festival that attracts you?
00:40
I think it's the fantastic selection of films and the incredible friendliness of not just
00:49
the staff in the cinema but also the volunteers and it's sort of like a second home for me now.
00:55
Oh it's important because then you're not just going to the major ones like London or Berlin.
01:02
I now consider Glasgow as an equal because then everyone should watch films and everyone
01:09
should be able to experience films for the first time in places like Glasgow Film Festival.
01:14
First of all when I came here back in 2012 it was a bit nerve-wracking because it was
01:19
the first time coming to Glasgow, first time at the festival and you're like trying to find your feet
01:25
and now these days it's sort of like you're walking in and it feels like everyone knows you.
01:31
It's like cheers the TV programme where you walk in and everyone knows your name
01:36
and you're always welcome here, you're always getting a fantastic and warm welcome from everyone.
01:42
So far I've seen over 30, about 32 films. The highlights or the films I would highly recommend
01:49
would be Hounds, The G, the John Galliano film and if you love English or British cinema
02:04
the Powell and Pressburger documentary is a must especially as it's got Martin Scorsese in it.
02:11
I roughly see four or five films a day including the three film which is stunning. Every day
02:18
you always experience something new or you're revisiting something from your childhood.
