00:09 calendars are largely shaped around these kind of events and the summer is brimming with music

00:13 festivals and gigs in venues small and large, surely the busiest time for musicians. Well here

00:19 are some events happening across the city this summer. The reeling is taking place in Rooking

00:22 Glen Park this weekend the 8th and 9th of June. A celebration of Scottish trad music, the family

00:27 event will be split over four stages with Julie Fowlis, Man Ran and Nightworks headlining. Next

00:33 up King Tut's Summer Nights is returning for 2024 where some of the city's best new acts will be

00:38 showcased between the 13th of July and the 26th of August. Summer Nights at the bandstand will begin

00:43 on the 23rd of July with an exciting lineup this year including Johnny Marr, Emily Sande,

00:48 Ocean Colour Scene and Echo and the Bunnymen. And there's Core Festival from the 2nd to the 4th of

00:53 August, hosting hardcore bands from all across the world including Show Me The Body and Glitterdark.
