As a pensioner it doesn't affect me that greatly because I have so little refuse that goes out.
00:04
My main concern is the fact that household rescues which may include food items that
00:11
haven't been eaten could be lying for months before they're collected.
00:14
I know why they're doing it but it's very inconvenient not having your bins emptied
00:19
but I'm wholly behind them. I think that they do need to be able to
00:25
stop and help people if that's what's needed in their job.
00:29
And Michael, what's your thoughts on it?
00:31
I mean if this goes somewhere to get rid of the like bullying culture in the council
00:39
for so much the better. My personal opinion is that I'm 100% behind
00:43
them, their bin men, for the simple reason not just in the council but most places there's lots
00:51
of harassment and bullying going on. It's happening in the health service and with it being the 45th
00:58
anniversary of the miners' strike, everything's starting to come out with God's mercy.
01:02
But getting back to the bins, as I say I'm 100% behind them for the simple reason
01:08
why should people be watched by Big Brother for a start?
01:12
Why should people be chastised for helping an old woman?
01:18
And that's basically my opinion, that's all I've got to say.
01:25
It's up to them, I've got no opinion really.
01:28
Is it like, how's it impacting you guys?
01:32
No, we live in the apartments up the road and they happen just every week.
01:38
And Jane, what about you?
01:40
Well more or less the same, yeah. It should get it sorted and
01:45
I mean we are lucky where we live but other people are not, you know.
01:52
So hopefully they'll get it sorted soon.
