Regan Hollioake secured her first Ironman Australia title in a thrilling race that saw her finish in a time of 09:02:04.

00:07 I'm really overwhelmed. It's a dream come true to win at home on such a beautiful course.

00:13 It's just incredible.

00:14 It took me about three and a half hours to actually get going today and then it just clicked.

00:20 I found my legs so the tail end of the bike was great and then the run just felt really smooth.

00:26 Really only pinched the last 6km I think.

00:30 I did get a flat on the bike which managed to seal itself and I just had to put some CO2 in which was really lucky.

00:36 I didn't realise that I was putting so much time into it on the second lap

00:41 but was thrilled to actually catch her on Matthew Flinders Drive just coming back into town.

00:46 It's just incredible. This is my third pro race, second pro Ironman.

01:00 I still work as a physio just because it is really hard to make it an elite sport.

01:05 It's tough out there. It's competitive. The girls are so fierce and strong.

01:15 But an amazing way. The highs are highs and the lows are low but this is a high today.
