00:00 Two police officers pleaded not guilty to charges of taking at least RM1 million in

00:06 bribes from an individual under investigation. Chin Kiam Kong, 54, and Suhairon Abdullah,

00:12 32, were senior police officers from Bukit Aman's Commercial Crime Investigation Department.

00:16 They were accused of agreeing to receive a RM1 million bribe from Ku Zee Sian,

00:22 who was being investigated by the police. The incident allegedly took place at the

00:27 Forensic Accounts Cryptocurrency Department at Munarra KPJ on April 8.

00:31 They were also accused of receiving the sum from Ku at the Munarra KPJ car park at 4pm on the same

00:37 day. Both charges were framed under Section 16AB of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission Act

00:42 2009, read together with Section 34 of the Penal Code. Upon conviction, the defendant can be

00:48 sentenced to 20 years in prison and a fine of at least five times the value of the gratification,
