Well, a loss against Bungaree today, it was a big game, tough conditions out there, but
00:08
despite that, two losses to this time of the season, you go into a two week break, I reckon
00:13
as happy as a coach can be at this stage of the season, you're pretty happy.
00:18
Yeah, happy with how we're tracking along, you know, if you had said take 9 and 2 at
00:23
the start of the year, we definitely would have took it, there's no question on that,
00:26
we've had a few big games and challenges along the way, and we're continually learning as
00:32
a group about what our best footy looks like and where we sit within the competition, and
00:36
I think after the breaks we'll be sitting in that top 2 or 3 around that mark somewhere,
00:41
so I'm happy here with our chest and our own hands running home, which is good.
00:45
I think that's the most important thing, as you say, where you go, you can control that
00:50
now, can't you?
00:51
Yeah, we do, so last 5, we've got 3 of the teams that are fighting in that top 6 mix,
00:58
so if we win the games we should win, we deserve to finish top 4, and if we don't, it probably
01:03
shows where we're at in the competition, so it's an exciting time for our playing group
01:09
and the club just to be in the mix and in the conversation leading into that back end
01:13
of the year.
01:14
And you've got your player list in a pretty good position, obviously Ben Jones, a pretty
01:17
big loss with that shoulder injury, but hopefully he's not too far away after the break and
01:23
you have him back before the finals, but a couple of others to come back, and for a club
01:29
that's had its share of issues this year with injuries, like everyone, you're probably not
01:34
in a too bad, your position's not too bad.
01:37
Yeah, so hopefully with the 2 weeks off now, after that bye, we should nearly be as full
01:42
of strength as we can get, you know, Benny Jones should be right hopefully, Freddie Cummings
01:47
will be back, Cameron Lee will be back as well, Luke's set will be touch and go, Tobia
01:53
Maher's probably unfortunately done for the year, so there's 4 or 5 in the mix there to
01:56
come in and strengthen the side which is exciting, but at the same time, they've got to come
02:01
back and earn their spots and make sure that they're playing the team way as well.
02:05
What about the coach?
02:06
Yeah, I'll hopefully be right after the bye, I'll sneak in, but there's more important
02:11
players than me to worry about.
