Leeds chooses between spending a night in with a partner or a dog

If you had to choose between a romantic dinner with your partner or a cozy night in with your dog, which one would you choose and why? Some Leeds locals reflected on this ahead of International Dog Day on the 26th August.

00:00I'd rather spend a night in with a dog, even though I'm a cat person. I think animals are much better than people.

00:06We're rather sad non-dog owners because we're all allergic, so we have a lizard, a bearded dragon.

00:12But we do borrow my doggie and take doggies on walks.

00:15I've been married to my partner for, I think, 38 years. She's allergic to dogs. We have had cats in the past.

00:25They're all now sadly deceased. I meet a lot of dogs when I walk around parks, but I would find it very strange to spend an evening with a dog

00:39because the last time my family owned a dog I was about nine, so it would be peculiar.

00:47I think I'd actually want a night in with my partner and my cat.

00:51I don't have a dog, but I love dogs, so I'd probably say night in with my dog.

00:57I would say night in with my partner.
