TKR skipper Kieron Pollard says there have been injury concerns in the camp, ahead of their next game against Barbados Royals tomorrow night at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy.

Pollard says despite a couple of losses at home, the team is aiming for title number five.
Transcript
00:00The Trinago Knight Riders have 5 wins and 3 losses from 8 games at this year's CPL.
00:06It was a tough match on Republic Day when they lost by 80 runs to St Lucia Kings at
00:09the Brian Lauer Cricket Academy.
00:11TKR next play Barbados Royals on Friday in Taruba from 8pm.
00:15Skipper Karen Pollard says, despite injury concerns, the team is hungry for another title.
00:20We had not mentioned what sort of injuries we have had throughout and we have had to
00:26sort of chop and change.
00:27Obviously that might have caused a lot of discussion amongst yourself and a lot of fans
00:31as to why this one and that one is not playing.
00:34But we had to battle that and the way the guys have come forward through injuries and
00:40coming in at late stages, obviously we have to commend them for their efforts.
00:45And now, again still having a couple of injuries to deal with going into the back end of the
00:49tournament is something that we are going to continue to look after.
00:53But rest assured, we are in a position where we want to do well and finish 2024 as champions.
01:02Having said that, Pollard is not taking the remaining three teams for granted.
01:06After all, with the playoffs just around the corner, it's close to do or die for each and
01:10everyone.
01:11You know, this has always happened, the tournament has gotten a bit harder despite having names
01:15on paper.
01:16All teams are strong and they are playing very, very good cricket tactically.
01:20They are actually up there in terms of how the cricket should be played, which is a good
01:24sign for us in the Caribbean.
01:27So it's never going to be a walkover.
01:29Pollard has hardly ruled at this year's CPL but rotated his arm when Dwayne Bravo became
01:33injured during the Republic Day match against the Kings.
01:36The TKR captain ended it 4-for-38 and now has five wickets from six overs this season.
01:43Now that Bravo has retired, can the public expect more from Pollard with White Cherry
01:47in hand?
01:48Again, to the compliment of the guys that we have in the squad, guys are selected to
01:55do a particular role and responsibility.
01:57So for me, the main bowlers will get the opportunity to bowl and stuff like that.
02:02And if I have to fill in, I'll fill in when I have to or if the condition is conducive
02:06to my sort of, how do you say, nonsensical bowling at times.
02:11But with that being said, with all things being equal, maybe in fit, I'll be able to
02:17contribute in all three aspects of the game.
02:19Coach Phil Simmons says it's yet to be seen if all-rounder Sunil Narine retains for the
02:23clash against the Barbados Royals after missing some games due to injury.
