Truck driver dies in two-vehicle crash (3/11/24)

A truck driver in his 30s has died at the scene of a two-vehicle crash on the Bass Highway (3/11/24)

00:00At approximately 7.20am this morning, police and emergency services responded to a truck crash on the Bass Highway.

00:06Unfortunately, a man in his thirties has passed away as a result of that crash.

00:10One of the vehicles was a heavy laden double tanker, the other was a flatbed, both carrying items from the workplace.

00:18Given that it's early in the investigation, I can't publicly comment on how it's occurred.

00:22We need to keep in mind the family and friends of the deceased.

00:25The other truck driver did sustain some injuries. He is in a stable condition and being treated for those injuries.

00:30To assist in the investigation, anyone with any dash cam footage or who witnessed the incident is encouraged to contact police.
