Flow Hive creators demonstrate new 'Super Lifter' invention

The Northern Rivers father and son duo have launched a new invention designed to take the heavy lifting out of beekeeping.

00:00As it packs up, and then these things that act like handles, then they click on, like that.

00:11Then these top things that were handles become brackets and click on.

00:16Now this is the stage which it opens.

00:20It's sort of surprising what happens before you realise what's going to happen.

00:24But there it is, it's cracked the hive.

00:26And we've tried it on really heavy populous hives and it still works.

00:34There's a lot of force here, a lot of leverage.

00:47There you go, we're in there.

00:50We can throw some in for a Varroa alcohol wash, pack it into a jar and we can do whatever we like.

00:58And then close it up.
