00:00A strong week and a very strong weekend.
00:04Before we begin, let me say a few words about the historic events that took place over the
00:09last few days.
00:12On Saturday, my administration helped broker a full and immediate ceasefire, I think a
00:17permanent one, between India and Pakistan, ending a dangerous conflict of two nations
00:24with lots of nuclear weapons.
00:27And they were going at it hot and heavy, and it was seemingly not going to stop.
00:32And I'm very proud to let you know that the leadership of India and Pakistan was unwavering,
00:42powerful, but unwavering in both cases, having these – they really were, from the standpoint
00:49of having the strength and the wisdom and fortitude to fully know and to understand the gravity
00:54of the situation, and we helped a lot.
01:00And we helped also with trade.
01:01I said, come on, we're going to do a lot of trade with you guys.
01:05Let's stop it.
01:06Let's stop it.
01:07If you stop it, we're doing trade.
01:09If you don't stop it, we're not going to do any trade.
01:12People have never really used trade the way I used it, that I can tell you.
01:16And all of a sudden, they said, I think we're going to stop.
01:20And they have.
01:21And they did it for a lot of reasons, but trade is a big one.
01:25We're going to do a lot of trade with Pakistan.
01:28We're going to do a lot of trade with India.
01:29We're negotiating with India right now.
01:31We're going to be soon negotiating with Pakistan.
01:34And we stopped the nuclear conflict.
01:36I think it would have – it could have been a bad nuclear war.
01:40Millions of people could have been killed, so I'm very proud of that.
01:42I also want to thank Vice President Vance and Secretary of State Rubio for their work
01:49and efforts.
01:50They worked very hard on that.
01:52We also, as you know, created a situation where the Houthis, for the first time ever, have
02:01ceased firing.
02:03And they've let it be known that they're not going to be firing at American ships anymore,
02:08not going to be firing at Americans anymore.
02:11This was a heavy barrage that lasted for approximately 50 days.
02:19And as you know, they've been in war essentially for forever.
02:23But over the last 10 years, they've been very difficult for other countries.
02:29Nobody was able to do what we did.
02:31But they stopped and we take their word for it, their surrogates and them directly said,
02:38we don't want to do this anymore.
02:41And so we were satisfied with that.
