00:00first of all i would like to thank you actually i'm listening to you from last two and a half

00:10years and after then a lot of uh betterment has happened and i have become a better person even

00:16after listening to you and i started on veganism also you know complete movement and

00:22my question is uh regarding climate change uh previous to this as like i have we were actually

00:28studying in iit and we used to think that climate change is actually a technological problem like

00:33only this carbon emissions are there renewable and electric vehicles are the solutions and we were

00:39doing even research on this so i had the same notion that technological problem is actually

00:45climate change is a technological problem but after going uh watching your video climate change then i

00:51got to know the overpopulation and over consumption of the main culprit and the main causes behind it

00:57and uh and in the same regard in the last term also uh you asked uh answer someone's question that

01:04the probable solutions would be like either uh one is the like the spiritual upliftment that

01:11foundation is doing this work and also and another is the like to have some rules and regulations which

01:18will actually compel people to uh stop over consumption and stop over breeding so uh like

01:24as we are doing the spiritual equipment from our side and uh what i would like to know what are your

01:29views on the uh let's say the institution on government side like how on which aspects they should

01:35like uh work on and as we uh who are listening to you and how we can contribute to the other part of

01:43the solution like the rules and regulations what you are saying that government or institutions can uh work

01:50in the other other side of the solution i wanted to know your views on that people have to be awakened

01:57and those awakened people have to elect governments

02:04that will listen to awakened voices

02:09if governments know that their vote banks

02:14give two hoots to the climate then why will they ever take the trouble

02:27of pushing reforms and regulation and taxation that won't happen so the solution

02:36cannot really come from the governments

02:40the solution has to come from an awakening of mass consciousness

02:48or the solution has to come from some kind of a benevolent dictator

02:54he says even if the masses are not awakened i am going to enforce regulation

03:01but that kind of a thing is not preferable no

03:04it's better if the masses themselves decide that climate action is important

03:14and if the masses decide that then the leaders will have to listen to the masses

03:19that's what a democracy is all about

03:23so

03:27at the ground level you see there has to be

03:30a mass awakening a lot of effort has to be made towards sensitizing the common public

03:43climate action has to become a part of the electoral manifesto of political parties

03:49until we come to the point where we start seeing political leaders

04:02talking of the climate to get votes

04:08we will not find any concrete action

04:13votes have to be dependent

04:16on the willingness of the leader or the candidate

04:22to take action

04:25on the climate front

04:29and the voters therefore have to be educated there is no

04:32solution

04:34till the time we have the situation where votes

04:37come on communal basis

04:40or

04:40cast basis

04:44or sometimes they are blatantly bought off

04:50there is very little hope for a substantial

04:53improvement in the climate situation

04:58so the work has to be done on the ground

05:03by people and organizations

05:05who understand the criticality of this movement

05:12and

05:12the right kind of people have to be elected and the

05:17and the right leaders must be brought to power

05:21if you find that your representative

05:25at whatever level

05:26has no sensitivity for this absolutely critical problem

05:35then you must ensure he is defeated

05:40you must ensure if possible that he does not even complete his term

05:44if already elected

05:52you see not not

05:55not all people

05:57can be educated

05:59in a short period of time

06:00and when i say short period i mean a period of few years

06:06but even if you have

06:0810 to 15 percent people

06:09who make climate action

06:16a high priority

06:18a top criteria

06:21when it comes to deciding their vote

06:25then you will find

06:27a great movement

06:32and from the choice of these 10 or 15 percent people

06:37then you can have regulation that will affect 100 percent people

06:44in an economy you see in in a democracy you see

06:4810 to 15 percent

06:50is a very very large number

06:55a vote share

06:57shift of one percent

07:00is enough to turn tables around

07:0210 percent

07:07is like an earthquake

07:12it upturns everything

07:15so if you can have just 10 percent people who say

07:18our top most priority is the climate

07:22and we'll vote for the candidate who listens to the climate

07:27then you will have regulation as we said that will affect

07:30and be binding on 100 percent of the people

07:33and regulation is needed

07:36mass awareness

07:39by itself will not suffice

07:45and even if mass awareness is to be brought to those levels it will take

07:49decades we don't have decades

07:51but we still have

07:56probably sufficient time

07:58to have 10 percent youth

08:02rally with us

08:06yes

08:06in the same question

08:09as you are saying this 10 percent of youth

08:12generally still those 10 percent of youth

08:14like think like okay

08:15only this technology will come up

08:17let's say some fancy change

08:18let's say some new

08:19the evs are coming or something like this so

08:22so when we are talking of raising awareness

08:24that's what

08:26we need to tell the people

08:28climate change is not a problem

08:31of wrong technology

08:35climate change is a problem of wrong mentality

08:40it is not a technological but a spiritual problem

08:43no improvement in technology will be enough to take care

08:52of the carbon emissions

08:57it is in britain i think that they are now experimenting

09:01with masks that would absorb methane

09:06and those masks they are putting on the mouths of cows

09:10so that their methane emissions are absorbed

09:18but one thing they do not want to agree to

09:21why eat the cow at all

09:23the cow has to be eaten and the cow has to be milked before it is eaten

09:29milk we cannot leave and beef we cannot leave

09:33but we will try to find smart technological solutions

09:37we have come up with a smart mask

09:40no this won't help

09:42because your lust for beef is unending

09:49also

09:51the ego is a very cunning thing

09:55it does not want to have knowledge that hurts its interests

09:59what does beef consumption do and what does dairy consumption do

10:10is very well and very broadly

10:13and in great detail documented

10:19at thousands of places

10:22you need not even visit a library or buy a book

10:24just google

10:27and you will come to know about the effects

10:31of animal agriculture

10:36but we don't even want to know

10:41so so there has to be a mass program

10:45there have to be loud and powerful voices

10:48there has to be a lot of youthful energy

10:50that has to finally coalesce

10:58into some kind of a vote bank

11:02and then we require strict and binding regulation

11:07we require very very high levels of taxation for example

11:12animal flesh and milk

11:14the milk must be taxed

11:17at sky high levels

11:21four thousand percent tax taxation of that kind

11:34so acharji there is as the solution

11:37instead let me let me just add because it just flashed

11:40instead what we have is governments

11:44that are supporting flesh and milk

11:51they call it the blue revolution the pink revolution the white revolution

11:58these are the kind of governments we elect

12:02in fact the biggest support

12:05to climate destruction comes from the government

12:08if you want to import equipment for your mechanized slaughterhouse

12:19you will be subsidized by the government

12:21at the taxpayers expense

12:29whereas if you want to put up a plant-based milk

12:33facility you will probably face a lot of resistance and the usual bureaucratic hassles

12:41you may have to bribe your way through the system

12:46slaughterhouses the government will ease your way

12:53the government is the biggest offender and we do not see that

12:56the government is the biggest killer of wildlife of animals

13:05and why am i talking of the government again and again because we elect the government

13:10therefore the water has to be awakened

13:12so in this regard even i tried some time to actually uh bring upon the people around you to

13:28come into spirituality and understand the things and uh but uh generally what uh it is my observation

13:35that uh some people who are uh really you know like very very uh a little bit of honest they will come upon they will accept the things

13:44but uh many of the time most of the people when they see that there is something that is actually hurting their

13:50like whatever the existing they are doing so they will try to prohibit and especially when something spiritual or something like that they can

13:57they try to go ahead so uh what i try to do is initially i tried to share

14:04them with the spirituality aspects but now uh i try to make them little bit more about the climate side so i try to

14:11make them concerned about this from this side so some people understand so uh like this is also followed

14:17like uh what do you think like uh like as as you said like only uh five to ten percent of people would be like

14:24who would be actually understanding this thing and uh spirit this they will know that this is a

14:28spiritual problem not a uh some other problem but uh like as majority of the people are won't understand

14:34this so what do you think like uh if they don't understand spirituality they understand the materiality

14:43right yeah it's touching 50 degrees outside this much i hope they and their skins understand

14:54they understand the temperature right they feel the heat yeah so come up with a smart campaign

15:02why don't you talk about it let there be a climatometer

15:08show how we all are suffering because of the insane actions

15:16of the majority

15:17make the calculations and display how how every

15:27gram or pound of flesh that you take in

15:32is contributing to a temperature rise

15:38how your insane dairy consumption

15:41is not innocent

15:48innocent innocuous at all

15:52how it is a fallacy to consume dairy and yet call yourself a vegetarian

15:57so one has to put in his

16:08heart and soul

16:10into this kind of

16:12activism

16:14the challenge is great

16:16and the challenge is great only because

16:18the rewards will be very fulfilling

16:20you are saving

16:23you are saving not your personal self not your family not even just your nation

16:28you are saving the entire planet

16:31you don't even know of the billions trillions of living beings

16:37you are saving

16:39that's the enormity of the challenge and therefore the possibility

16:42is it not worth it

16:50does it not energize you

16:55so act
