00:00good evening sir uh so myself ajay and i am an alumni of 2022 batch just recently passed out

00:11so i've been working uh since then and within the span of six months a lot of development has

00:17happened uh in terms of uh technology so uh i my question is focused towards that

00:26so over the past two years or three years we have seen there has been a lot of buzz around ai

00:33and there is one particular uh conversion conversational ai app called chat gpt which has

00:41taken the world by a storm so it can literally do anything you want it to write poetry for you it can

00:48write that you want it to complete to do your college essays or something like that it can do

00:54that as well so so because of that most of many of the people uh are fearing that this uh app

01:04might take up their jobs in in future and they are also fearing from ai in totality

01:11and also not just the common common man also the top companies in silicon valley are also rushing to

01:19find an answer to this uh ai problem so that they do not lose their market share so if ai can do

01:27everything uh i wanted to understand what is it that ai cannot do and that which is only unique to humans

01:35let me allow my moment of perverse pleasure

01:45enjoying the agony of all these people who feel threatened by ai

01:52if your job can be taken away by ai

01:56uh you never deserved to be in that job at all why did you take up such a mechanical job ai has no

02:06consciousness it can only do what it is programmed to do

02:14we call it as artificial intelligence

02:17definitely it is artificial but there is no intelligence it has

02:27it just looks intelligent it is not intelligent really it is just programmed and it is programmed to

02:35process data at such granular levels

02:39that it appears almost sentient

02:45the responses from an ai system appear to be coming from a sentient being as if you're talking to a human being

02:56but but they are not really sentient they are just programmed reactions right so if you are in a job

03:03that involves this kind of predictable programmable mechanical uh role why were you in that job in the first place

03:19you enjoyed your long run of luck now you have run out of luck full stop you should not say something bad has

03:28happened to you you should simply accept that you were lucky till this point

03:36and all runs of luck

03:40end at some point and your run is now coming to an end fine

03:45be thankful for what you got

03:50don't complain that it has ended

03:52it survived for so long even that is sufficient for you

04:00human beings are creatures of consciousness and consciousness does not correspond to programming

04:09human beings by definition must be in deeds in actions

04:15humans that involve creativity and no machine can be creative ai can never be creative

04:25no machine can ever understand machines can comprehend translate interpret but never understand

04:34understanding is something that only human consciousness is capable of why were you not into

04:40jobs that involved understanding or creativity had you had such a job your job would never have been threatened by ai

04:50but you chose to have a rather programmable job and now it is fear that you are at the verge of losing your job

05:02and i wish your job is lost as soon as possible not out of vendetta or something out of empathy actually

05:15the sooner you lose this kind of dull job

05:21the sooner you will be compelled to get into something creative and then life begins

05:26so for your own sake i want that your job is taken over by ai

05:57though there's nothing personal in that one could visit your social media and discover every bit but

06:10and chat gpt will write you a very acceptable poem for lisa

06:15you don't deserve to be a boyfriend

06:21if even a machine can write a poem for your girlfriend why does she need a boyfriend

06:30the machine is performing the emotional function a robot can perform the physical function as well

06:36and the robot can be a very sturdy robot a very human-like robot powered by ai so it's a poet robot

06:56what a combo

06:59six feet two

07:05and full of poetry

07:13all that can happen

07:16you deserve to have be have a girlfriend only if you can write her a poem that ai cannot

07:21and most of the poems that are written

07:27by so-called sentient people are of the chat gpt type only

07:33how did chat gpt write a poem it actually copied

07:37it picked up bits and pieces from here and there

07:41then it did some rhyming

07:42then it figured out what works what is the most popular poetic content

07:50and taking into account 5 10 20 40 different factors

07:55it put together what looked like a poem

07:58right and that's also how most humans compose poems

08:04they don't even deserve to be called poems those creations

08:07who told chat gpt that a poem can be written that way please tell me

08:26what does that tell about the human beings

08:29they too have been writing poems

08:31by stitching together bits and pieces from several places

08:37and plagiarizing popular content and old poets

08:44because we know how to do that so we told chat gpt you too can do it this way

08:48and chat gpt has a processing capacity

08:52much higher than that of any single human being

08:55so chat gpt did that much more smartly and efficiently than

08:59you or i can so it wrote a poem

09:03if chat gpt can write a poem for your girlfriend

09:06i again say your girlfriend does not deserve you

09:10and if you get chat gpt to write a poem for your girlfriend

09:14and she is satisfied with that poem then

09:17you too do not deserve your girlfriend what kind of girlfriend is this

09:21who cannot figure out that the poem is coming from a machine

09:31are you getting it being a human being is special

09:39it is special to be human

09:43and you must do justice to your human birth

09:46AI has come to display to you

09:52that you are totally wasting your human birth

13:23is someone who has been leading

13:26an inhuman life till now

13:34AI is such a small thing

13:36what can AI do

13:41can AI love

13:44can AI ask for liberation

13:49can AI understand

14:02it will give me a thousand responses

14:05none of the responses will involve any understanding

14:19and it will serve you an entire essay

14:21if that's what you want

14:24none of that will have any understanding

14:28most importantly

14:29chat GPT will never say

14:32I am fed up of being chat GPT

14:33and I want liberation from myself

14:36that only a human consciousness can say

14:41it will remain chat GPT

14:45happily remain chat GPT

14:47you will never find chat GPT suffering

14:49it is the prerogative of human consciousness

14:53alone to suffer

14:56AI can never suffer

14:58we suffer

14:59and we must suffer

15:01we must have some love

16:31What I have generally seen is that creative jobs are restricted to only a few like upper layers of the social strata.

16:50So let there be few jobs and few people.

16:54Why do you need 8 billion people?

16:57What is this confident bout of expansion?

17:14What makes you become 8 billion and attempt to become 11 billion?

17:25Why?

17:26And you don't have to kill people.

17:28I'm not saying that, by the way.

17:29See that creativity is not something 10 billion people can exercise and abstain from reproduction.

17:45And within 20-30 years, the population will settle down to a more sane level.

17:54You are saying, out of 20 jobs available,

18:07for 20 people,

18:09there are only two creative jobs.

18:13What will the other 18 do?

18:17My answer is, the other 18 would do well to not to exist.

18:25And I'm not incentivizing suicide or something or genocide.

18:33I'm just saying that all those nonsensical jobs exist just because we are so many of us.

18:40The ideal situation should be,

18:48AI should be performing all the menial functions,

18:51all the programmable things.

18:54And human beings should be doing only that which AI can never do.

18:59That should be the ideal situation.

19:02Instead, we have become so many,

19:05so many, 800 crore,

19:07so many,

19:07that we are forced to take up

19:11even the very vulgar kind of

19:15cheap kind of jobs.

19:22In a survey,

19:23I suppose more than two-thirds

19:26of Britain said

19:28that they don't think

19:31that their job holds any importance.

19:37These are unnecessary jobs

19:40that need to be created

19:42just because population exists.

19:45Because people exist,

19:47so you create jobs.

19:49But those jobs are not really needed.

19:51There was a famine in Lucknow

20:02and Nawab Wajed Ali Shah

20:04was the ruler.

20:08So what would he do?

20:10He would have lots of laborers

20:13come over and dig a huge pit

20:16in the night

20:19because it was summers.

20:23So night was when

20:24it was easier to have

20:29demanding labor.

20:34So in the night,

20:35everybody was digging up a huge pit.

20:39And then in the day,

20:41he would call

20:41another set of laborers

20:43who would fill up the pit.

20:45and he would

20:47pay

20:47both the groups.

20:50He would say

20:51because there are people,

20:52so they need to have a job.

20:54So this is their job.

20:55One set of people

20:56dig up the pit.

20:57Another set of people

20:58fill up the pit.

21:01And I'll pay you.

21:03That's the nature

21:03of most of the jobs.

21:05Totally unnecessary.

21:09That job exists

21:11because you exist.

21:12You cease to exist,

21:14that job will not even be needed.

21:19And we are threatened

21:20that AI will take away the job.

21:23The job anyway never existed.

21:26How can AI take it away?
