00:00Ten years ago, an explosion at a water park in Taiwan killed 15 people and injured almost 500
00:05others. That night remains etched in the memories of the survivors, and here an exhibition after
00:12burning silver boron hopes to highlight their road to recovery. The blast happened during a concert
00:18when flammable colored powder ignited, sending a fireball through the crowd. Most of the victims
00:25were young, many still in their teens. Investigators say heat or static electricity
00:31set us off. From photos shared by survivors, to special burn treatment clothing, to personal
00:37reflections, many written by students who survived terrible burns. It's all now on display.
00:55Many survivors attended the opening ceremony of the exhibition with mixed emotions of happiness,
01:02gratefulness, and hope.

01:08Gratefulness, and hope.
01:09I don't know, but it's been a long time for 10 years. But at the same time, I will be
01:14proud to be able to live in a good life. And of course, at the time, whether it's a
01:21disaster or to help us, we can let them know that their efforts are not bad at the time,
01:28because we are very proud to live in a good life.
01:30Organizers say they hope the exhibition helps the public better understand the challenges faced
01:35by people with severe burn injuries. They say society often respond with curiosity, fear,
01:41or even rejection.
01:42I remember when we were in hospital, some people would say, what is the disease? It will not
01:47be transmitted. But it is not transmitted, it is only a disease. But some people are
01:51in the face of the face. Some people are in trouble when they are in trouble. And to further
01:57help people understand the challenges burn survivors go through, visitors are welcome to try
02:02on pressure garments used to treat burns.
02:04The exhibition is only on for a few days, but its message is powerful, that people who
02:29have lived through disasters can survive, recover, and go on to lead full vibrant lives. Chris
