00:00Hello again. A little bit of everything in the forecast over the next few days.
00:05Certainly some lively weather, especially as we head into the early part of next week.
00:09But let's get back to the rest of this week.
00:12Some hefty downpours during Thursday, slowly clearing away from the south during Thursday evening.
00:17Not completely dry overnight. There'll still be some showers drifting in over northeastern parts of England.
00:22Northern Scotland, one or two maybe coming into North Wales.
00:25But many places will have a dry night with some lengthy clear spells.
00:29The breeze notice coming down from the north, strengthening along those North Sea coasts and bringing a cooler, fresher night.
00:36Temperatures in towns and cities may hold up in the teens, but rural spots may well dip down into single figures.
00:43On to the details for Friday. And there will again be a few showers around, but not as many intense, hefty downpours like we've seen through Thursday.
00:52Still a few in the morning over parts of Wales, Northern Ireland, but they should tend to ease.
00:57And then we'll see a few breaking out through the day across the Pennines, down through the Midlands, perhaps into southeast England too.
01:04Always the risk of a few showers coming in on that breeze over northern Scotland.
01:07But here, I think by the afternoon, there'll be few and far between.
01:10There's this zone of cloudier weather, which may well affect these eastern coast of England.
01:14Certainly there'll be a breeze bringing a chillier feel here.
01:19Some sunny spells across Pembrokeshire, southwest England.
01:22But here too, a brisk breeze at times, keeping things on the cool side with temperatures around or a touch below average.
01:29Feeling fresher compared to Thursday across the south.
01:32Not as humid here, but we should still get up to 23, maybe even 24 degrees Celsius with the help of a bit of sunshine.
01:38But it will feel cooler where you're exposed to that breeze.
01:42Certainly, as we go through Friday evening, temperatures will fall away.
01:46Any showers should tend to drift away.
01:49And so quite a few of us will have a dry night.
01:52And that'll lead to a clear, fine start to Saturday.
01:55But it will be a cooler start.
01:57Temperatures more widely down to single figures, even in some towns and cities.
02:00But quite a bit of sunshine on Saturday.
02:02A fine day by and large.
02:04Still a bit of a breeze in the east, but not as strong as Friday.
02:08The odd shower developing through the day over parts of eastern England.
02:12But I think they will be pretty well scattered.
02:14Then through the afternoon, the cloud will increase across Northern Ireland and northwest Scotland with some rain into the Western Isles later on.
02:21Temperature wise, well, just ticking up a little bit for Saturday with a bit more sunshine and lighter winds.
02:26Probably feeling quite a bit warmer.
02:27Temperatures 23, 24 degrees across the southeast, maybe 25.
02:31Still only in the high teens across the far northwest as things start to cloud over here.
02:36And that is signs of a bit more of a significant change as we head through the weekend.
02:42That's cloud and rain from this weather front pushing in from a deep area of low pressure, which is heading its way across Iceland.
02:47Then there's a bit of a bump in the isobars.
02:50But blink and you miss this ridge because look at this.
02:52This is potentially quite a lively fellow.
02:54An intensifying area of low pressure approaching the UK, spewing out isobars as it does so.
03:00A bit of uncertainty about the exact track and the intensity, but this could bring some unseasonably strong winds as we head into Monday, along with some pretty heavy rain as well.
03:11As I said, a bit of uncertainty about the track and the intensity, but certainly something we're keeping a very close eye on.
03:17So if I were you, I'd keep up to date with the forecast.
03:19Best way to do that, of course, is to follow us on social media or subscribe to our YouTube channel where you can watch our full in-depth weekend forecast with Aidan.
