00:00:29And hi, once again, everybody, Tony Schiavone, the living legend Larry DiBizco, and the professor Mike today, we're in South Dakota, we're in the Black Hills, Rapid City, at the Redsport Plaza Civic Center, at the foot of Mount Redsport, in the Perry, we're tonight, for three solid hours, World Championship Wrestling, and the NWO present the best in professional wrestling, what a weekend it's been, so much to talk about,

00:00:57so much to discuss, and a lot of things happening in the world of pro wrestling, tonight, as always, we are on the air for three solid hours, and we've got a double bait event, better than ever, tonight, that we're gonna be talking about here, tonight, in Sioux City, or Rapid City, Iowa,

00:01:19And we're gonna go to the ring, first of all, with the beautiful Nitro Girls.

00:01:25Well, it's starting to show off with some clans.

00:01:28You always seem to talk when the Nitro Girls come out.

00:01:31But you may notice that the Nitro Girls are one short.

00:01:37Kimberly is not here tonight.

00:01:38Diamond Dallas Page not scheduled to be on the program tonight.

00:01:41And DDP made it known that if he's not gonna be in the building, he did not want his wife in the building, and we can understand why, based on what has happened to her at the hands of the NWO over the past couple of weeks.

00:01:53Yeah, well, that's smart thinking.

00:01:54Diamond Dallas Page is thinking the New World Order will stoop to no low turn.

00:01:58They are a desperate group of men.

00:02:00Excellent decision by Diamond Dallas Page, especially in light of what we've witnessed over the course of the past week or so, involving Eric Bischoff and Kimberly.

00:02:09The gorgeous Nitro Girls, there's A.C. Jazz and Spice looking right at us.

00:02:15And ladies and gentlemen, a great crowd on hand, and it's great to have you with us.

00:02:18Two days removed from Road Wilde and just about 40 miles up the road in Sturgis, South Dakota, the living legend Larry Zabisco, the professor Mike Tenet.

00:02:27And I know the world is wanting, tuning into this program, wanting to know what went down in the main event where Jay Leno and Diamond Dallas Page met Hollywood Hogan and Eric Bischoff.

00:02:37But unfortunately, I was handed a note by the WCW Executive Committee, apparently.

00:02:42Wait a minute, wait, hold it.

00:02:45Well, the man has to take his kudos.

00:02:47You can't deny him that, Tony.

00:02:49Yeah, even with that jacket on, he needs to take him.

00:02:50Nevertheless, unfortunately, fans, we cannot tell you nor show you what happened during that main event.

00:03:26But I can tell you, on this program, Goldberg will defend his world title against Ming, and you'll see the giant in Scott Hall with a world tag team title against members of the Wolfpack.

00:04:42As he and the Barbarian will meet in this opening bout here on Monday Nitro in the Black Hills in South Dakota.

00:04:59We've had 360,000 bikers this weekend in Sturgis Road Wild.

00:05:06Over 30,000 attendants at the event that night, and it was a great night outdoors, capped off by a Travis Trigg concert.

00:05:13We had a wonderful time, some superb wrestling action.

00:05:16And I can tell you that you can see the Encore presentation all this week.

00:05:22As a matter of fact, it begins tomorrow on Encore, the Encore on Viewer's Choice, and also on the Dish Network as well.

00:05:31As well as the direct ticket and action pay-per-view all this week.

00:05:35So you can see the Encore presentation all this week.

00:05:40As Hacksaw Jim Duggan gets started, but right now they can't tell you what happened.

00:05:43There's a direct ticket right into Barbarian.

00:05:45Hacksaw still couldn't take him down.

00:05:48We can't even talk about Hacksaw Jim Duggan at Road Wild.

00:06:05it ended up that here came Hacksaw Jim Duggan and once again to the aid of Ming.

00:06:10Well, it was an outnumbered attack on Ming.

00:06:13It was the Barbarian, his tag team partner Hugh Morris, as well as the mouth of the South Jimmy

00:06:17Hart all beating up on Ming.

00:06:19Although I have to tell you, Ming did pretty well against those three until Hacksaw Jim Duggan

00:06:24came out and look at Jimmy Hart physically be involved in this matchup.

00:06:28Cheap shot artist on Duggan.

00:06:29Yeah, cheap shot.

00:06:30Jimmy Hart will lay his body on the line for his men.

00:06:33Problem is, can he control the Barbarian?

00:06:38Duggan comes right back up in the Barbarian, raking along the chest.

00:06:45He's using his head.

00:06:48I have to say that.

00:06:50And but, but Duggan went down from that, the Barbarian.

00:06:53Into the midsection.

00:06:57And the Barbarian with a blatant chokehold here, right in front of Mickey J, the referee.

00:07:03Yeah, but Barbarian is within that five legals.

00:07:06You've got states, wrong referees.

00:07:08Scott Dickinson and South Dakota.

00:07:24You know it was, when you go back to Road Wilde, Jimmy Hart came off the top rope with a splash on Ming.

00:07:33Much like last week with the two by four off the top on Ming.

00:07:37Then Humerus came out.

00:07:39Came off the top with his No Laughing Matter.

00:07:41Plenty of effects.

00:07:42But as you said, Mike, Ming continued to get up.

00:07:45And at one time, three men were pounding down.

00:07:47Well, that's two wrestlers and Jimmy Hart were pounding the man down.

00:07:51Two and a half.

00:07:52And look at Duggan rise up from that.

00:07:58Into the ropes.

00:07:59And that decked him.

00:08:01Yeah, he bent over too soon.

00:08:03Barbarian, big tough guy.

00:08:05Just nailed Hacksaw.

00:08:06Not too many guys can take Hacksaw off his feet with a shot in the head.

00:08:09But the Barbarian, he's one of the few.

00:08:12And listen to this crowd with the chant of USA.

00:08:15You can almost see the look in Duggan's eyes as he hears that chant being revitalized.

00:08:22Duggan has gotten quite a fan following over the years.

00:08:25Former United States Heavyweight Champion Duggan.

00:08:28One of the hardest hitters will send the Barbarian into the top turnbuckle.

00:08:32As you can see, that had no effect.

00:08:34Of course, the Barbarian, master of the headbutt, Duggan now going to the jaw.

00:08:41Being a Hacksaw is just a matter of pound the heck out of you.

00:08:44Well, Duggan has worked on the upper part of the body, no doubt.

00:08:47But that's always been his forte.

00:08:54He's also wasting time here.

00:11:56And Sting just walked right by him.

00:12:01Last time I was seen on national television, I was face down on concrete.

00:12:06Now, I didn't see much, because it was more than one, and it was, as usual, always from behind,

00:12:14but I did see one face crystal clear, and that was the face of the black and white in Scott Hall.

00:12:21So I say, Armageddon will happen between the red and black and black and white in Sturgis,

00:12:35but in the kind of mood I'm in tonight, I'm not leaving this building until I get a fight

00:12:44with the red and black and the black and white, because I'm not going to wait until Sturgis.

00:12:50You go get some of your friends for the black and white, because you think the Wolf Pack is falling apart.

00:12:57We're not, because my friends are most definitely in the house tonight.

00:13:02Lex Luger has made and issued a challenge to the black and the white NWO for tonight.

00:13:13And he called his friends out, and by golly, here they are.

00:13:45You know, you could tell from those comments that he made last week on Thunder

00:13:49that Luger is going to make it a mission to take apart any member of NWO black and white.

00:13:58And who can blame it?

00:14:01So it was Scott Hall that put him face down.

00:14:05Why does that come as no surprise to me?

00:14:15Well, gentlemen, no surprise, the reception that this big man is getting here tonight.

00:14:19Tremendously popular as one of the members of the NWO red and black.

00:14:28But for the most part, Luger, as you know, Tony, Larry, like today, has always been his own man.

00:14:35Lex Luger, great reception here tonight, but we've got to get down to business.

00:14:40The nuts and bolts of some things that happened last week in Denver, Colorado.

00:14:44You got laid out.

00:14:45We identified one of the men as being Scott Hall.

00:14:48But I understand there were others involved in that incident.

00:14:52Now, I'm not one to mince words.

00:14:55I've always felt that action speaks louder than words.

00:14:58But I said there was two guys involved in what happened last Monday night.

00:15:03Scott Hall was one, and I got a piece of him on Thursday.

00:15:07And now I want retribution with the other, because I've got solid, under-clad information.

00:15:12And the second guy, and I should have figured it a long time ago, was Brett the Hitman Hart.

00:15:22You're sure about that, Lex?

00:15:24Absolutely positive.

00:15:26And Brett, the same challenge tonight goes out to you that I had for Scott Hall last Thursday.

00:15:31I'm not leaving this building until I get a fight or a match with you right here.

00:17:54There's nothing you have that I want other than maybe that belt that's sitting on her shoulder.

00:17:59So I'm putting out the challenge.

00:18:52One of the things we can't show you from Road Wilde a couple of days ago was Chavo Guerrero Jr.

00:19:11coming out with a piece of paper and a notary seal saying that, hey, he's the real television champ.

00:19:17Well, out came Stevie Ray carrying that world television belt, and Chavo said, I'm the television champ, give me the belt.

00:19:23The match did take place, and for most of the match, Chavo ran away from Stevie Ray, a very angry Stevie Ray.

00:19:29As a matter of fact, Stevie Ray was so angry at one time, he stopped chasing the man altogether.

00:19:34But finally, when Chavo got in the ring, it was the slapjack, Stevie Ray came away with the win.

00:19:40Stevie Ray got on the microphone, had some unkind things to say to the gallery, and then proceeded to whip Chavo with the TV belt.

00:19:47Eddie Guerrero came out to stop that.

00:19:50Stevie Ray left, still holding the TV belt.

00:19:54I guess one of the stories there, guys, the fact that Eddie came out to help Chavo, and that surprised as much as anything else.

00:19:59Has to be the most shocking aspect of that matchup.

00:20:02I guess it was just finally Eddie Guerrero's conscience taking over.

00:20:06Uncle Eddie had to come out to rescue his nephew, Chavo Jr.

00:20:12What if he's trying to uncreate the monster he made?

00:20:16Yeah, but I wonder if you could even trust Eddie Guerrero.

00:20:19It's another thing.

00:20:21Chavo's been getting a lot of attention.

00:20:24Some of it unfavorable, but he still has been getting a lot of attention.

00:20:27Especially since he's become the man he's become.

00:21:08Well, fans, if you joined us for Red Wild, you know that there was a little friction at the end of that Alex Wright-Disco Inferno public enemy match.

00:21:15And it had to do with friction between Alex Wright, Tokyo Magnum, and even really Disco Inferno at the end of that match.

00:21:22Well, it seemed like every time Tokyo Magnum tried to help out the tag team of Disco Inferno and Alex Wright, it backfired.

00:21:27And then how about Alex Wright actually walking out on his tag partner, Disco Inferno, leaving him to take the front of the triple stack from Flyboy Rocko Rock and Johnny Grunge, the public enemy.

00:21:39You stupid little Japanese.

00:21:49Ladies, I'm so disappointed in you.

00:21:53You fumbled the ball big time lately.

00:21:55You know what you should do?

00:21:57You should come in hurry.

00:22:01You've been screwing up a lot lately, Tokyo.

00:22:04If you're going to continue to worship and idolize us, you need to start performing at a level like these two guys.

00:22:24A much different and very humble Tokyo Magnum, knowing seemingly that he has let these two down.

00:22:44You could tell he was not as animated as usual coming out.

00:22:48Didn't take off the tights and that flamboyant style that he's been taking, or his warm-ups that he's been using on.

00:22:54But here comes Eddie Guerrero making his way out.

00:22:57We can pick up with that story of why, what was the motivation, what was the reasoning for Eddie Guerrero to come out and help Chavo.

00:23:04Something that we thought should have happened a long, long time ago, never really did.

00:23:08And now the fact that he comes out much later, after he's done what he's done to his young nephew, seems really out of place to me.

00:23:15I don't know. Blood thicker than water? What else could it be?

00:23:17Well, in a real situation with close family members, that would happen.

00:23:23But that has been anything but the case, as we know, with Eddie and Chavo, too.

00:23:26It's difficult to draw a conclusion as to why he would come out and save Chavo at that point.

00:23:31Well, maybe, just maybe, the family got together and they got with Eddie, all the uncles and family members, and Grandma got together.

00:23:37So we've had enough of it.

00:23:39You know, you need to go in there and take care of young Chavo, Jr.

00:23:42He's lost it.

00:23:44Nevertheless, we will have this one-on-one matchup.

00:23:46Eddie and Tokyo Magnum.

00:23:48Tokyo Magnum, great kick.

00:23:50Boy, an ice-spinny reverse kick.

00:23:51Got Eddie right in the solar plex.

00:23:54Tokyo Magnum, you know, good wrestler and great with the mad techniques, too.

00:23:58I don't know if he'll be able to keep up with Eddie's speed or Eddie very fast.

00:24:13The total package Lex Luger and Bret the Hitman Hardware to tilt the world backbreaker will not wait for Thunder.

00:25:57And, of course, Canyon, the other man in that three-man triangle match, it was absolutely

00:26:02As a matter of fact, Canyon and Saturn were going at it.

00:26:05And obviously, Raven was having a good time just sitting in the corner.

00:26:09Finally, Saturn and Canyon realized, hey, we need to take Raven apart.

00:26:13And that's what they started to do.

00:26:14They did until they got mad about who would make the pin.

00:26:18Of course, the man who makes the pin is the man who wins.

00:26:20Raven counter with Raven's rules with that chair, taking the men apart.

00:26:24The fight went on the outside.

00:26:25It went up the stage area.

00:26:27And then a triple superplex off the top.

00:26:30All three men just showing how wild the match was.

00:26:33Lodi got involved as well on the outside.

00:26:35As well did Horace with that stop sign.

00:26:37But in the end, it was the Death Valley driver from Saturn.

00:26:41Saturn is the man that comes away with his hand raised in the air, winning the triangle

00:26:46match.

00:26:48And really, I don't know, Mike, today if you could call it winning or not, surviving the

00:26:51triangle match is what he did on Saturday night.

00:26:53Well, it certainly was a wild one.

00:26:55It rode wild between those three.

00:26:57And it was almost like there was a point in that matchup where you could see the light

00:27:00bulb go off.

00:27:01And Saturn and Canyon both realized that they had that common enemy in Raven.

00:27:07But both men so badly wanted to get the pin fall on Raven that they would make the save

00:27:12back and forth.

00:27:13But finally, in the end, it was the Death Valley driver applied by this man, Saturn, that

00:27:18gained him the victory in the triangle match.

00:27:21And we're back to the same situation of survival between Saturn and Canyon.

00:27:25Both men just as capable of taking each other out as the next.

00:27:29This is going to be a toss of the coin matchup here.

00:28:59Saturn can beat you so many ways.

00:29:01Like you talked about, Larry, like that submission wrestling style, he can also beat you off the

00:29:04top rope.

00:29:05Well, Saturn's more traditional than Canyon.

00:29:07Canyon's the one that really put the double whammy on some moves here and out slick you.

00:29:13But Saturn, he just comes right at you with real, just hardcore, down-to-earth submission

00:29:19tactic.

00:29:20But he ran into one right there.

00:29:21I don't know.

00:29:22He has some awful creative suplexes that he'll hit you with from time to time also.

00:29:25Oh, with a right hand from Canyon.

00:29:27One thing we've known about Canyon, too, is his intensity.

00:29:30Not only that, his ability to take a lot of punishment and to come back.

00:29:33Not only is he revolutionary with his moves, but we've seen some fatal moves applied to

00:29:38him, and the man keeps coming back.

00:29:39That's great.
