00:08shopping mall in Putrajaya on Wednesday.

00:11Rafizi said in a statement that the incident happened at 1.45pm when his son and wife got

00:17into their vehicle upon leaving the mall.

00:20He said a man grabbed his son and jabbed him with a syringe.

00:23He said his son had been sent to the University Putra Malaysia Hospital for treatment.

00:29He said checks revealed that two men on a motorcycle were following his wife's vehicle

00:33to the mall and the attack had been planned by the perpetrators.

00:38He said the two suspects were clad in black and were wearing fully covered helmets during

00:43the incident.

00:44Rafizi said throughout his political career, this was the first time his family had been

00:50targeted in such attacks.

00:52He said he believed that the attack was carried out as a warning to silence him regarding certain

00:58issues.

00:59He said he will heighten security and he will not be cowed by such attacks.

01:09In Parliament, upon hearing the news, Dewan Rakyat Speaker Tan Sri Johari Abdul said he

01:14will do his utmost to ensure the safety of all MPs.
