00:00Hello there, good afternoon. It's set to be a changeable week ahead. Some sunny spells,
00:06but also plenty of showers and longer spells of rain. Why is this? Well, it's all thanks to low
00:11pressure, often sitting to the west or northwest of the country, driving this westerly flow,
00:15so often picking up systems from the Atlantic, dragging in some showers, some longer spells of
00:20rain, and notice towards the end of the week, plenty of isobars on the chart, so at times we
00:24could also see some blustery conditions. Low pressure often waiting in the wings,
00:28potentially bringing some unsettled weather towards the weekend. But before we get on to that,
00:33let's focus on this afternoon, where many of us will actually see plenty of sunny spells, once again
00:39mainly across eastern areas. We'll see a mix of cloud and also some brighter breaks. If we do see
00:44any showers, they're most likely across western areas, but cloudier across northern Ireland,
00:49Wales in southwest England, where we're likely to see quite persistent spells of rain linger through
00:53much of the day. This could turn quite heavy, possibly even seeing some hail and thunder mixed
00:58in there at times. But for most of us, it's going to be a dry, settled day, feeling pleasant
01:02in the sunshine, highs reaching 22 degrees Celsius.
01:07Now, through the course of the evening, we do just need to keep an eye on this area of rain as it
01:11slowly shifts its way eastwards. Once again, we could see some heavy bursts mixed in here,
01:16hail and thunder still possible. But for all, we're going to see more and more cloud push in from the
01:21west, possible showers by the time we reach the morning, so it's not going to be feeling quite as
01:25cool and fresh as we head towards Wednesday morning, a slightly milder night, lows reaching
01:29around 12 to 13 degrees Celsius across many towns and cities. And Wednesday itself is set to be a bit
01:36more of a cloudier day, still a risk of showers even across eastern areas where we've seen more
01:40sunshine over the last couple of days. And then once again, more areas of persistent rain pushing
01:45in from the west, this turning heavy, once again possibly thundery. And it is going to be quite a breezy
01:50day for all, particularly around exposed coastal areas, some moderate to fresh winds here, as well
01:55as some heavy outbreaks of rain towards the west. So it's not going to be the most pleasant of days,
02:00even though we're going to see fairly similar temperatures, highs reaching around 20 degrees
02:05Celsius, but that being offset by the cloud and outbreaks of rain. Into the evening, that theme
02:11will set to continue. This heavy band, once again, we need to keep an eye on as it pushes its way
02:16eastwards across the country, still fairly blustery with some quite heavy and potentially quite
02:20thundery outbreaks overnight as we head through into Thursday morning. And then it remains fairly
02:25changeable for the rest of the week, more rain, more showers, but hopefully some brighter and sunny
02:30spells in between.
