00:00And that's very much like they tried to do with me, but they didn't get away with it at all.
00:05But I can't always say this. I knew him as president of Brazil. He was a good man.
00:11And I don't see that happening.
00:12Mr. President, I'm very sorry for your loss, for everybody's loss.
00:17I'm very sorry for your loss, first of all.
00:19How do you think Israel's attack in Doha will affect the hostage deal?
00:25You better say it a little bit more. Where are you from?
00:27I'm from Israel. Channel 14.
00:29Go ahead. Do it again. Do it again.
00:31How do you think Israel's attack in Doha will affect the hostage deal?
00:34Well, hopefully it won't affect it at all.
00:36We want the hostages out, and we want them out soon.
00:40Hopefully it won't affect it.
00:41Mr. President, I condoled you.
00:45I condoled you.
00:47How are you holding up for the last three and a half, too?
00:52I think very good.
00:53And by the way, right there, you see all the trucks.
00:56They just started construction of the new ballroom for the White House.
00:59Which is something they've been trying to get, as you know, for about 150 years.
01:04And it's going to be a beauty.
01:05It'll be an absolutely magnificent construction.
01:08And I just see all the trucks.
01:10We just started.
01:11So it'll get done very nicely, and it'll be one of the best anywhere in the world, actually.
01:17Thank you so much.
01:18Just listening in there to President Trump talking about that, talking about a variety
01:26of topics, international subjects, as well as the fatal shooting of political commentator
01:31as President Trump calling Charlie Kirk a great American patriot.
01:35We're getting several live pictures right now about this.
01:39As you can see, they're on the campus of Utah Valley University.
01:43And we're still following it.
01:45There's still crime scene tape up.
01:47And you kind of see the area of where this was and that fountain splashing water right
01:51in the foreground of it.
01:53So it almost looks like it's raining.
01:54But law enforcement personnel continue to search for any and all potential suspects related
01:59to the incident.
02:00But no suspect right now, no person of interest, as they're calling it, in custody for the time
02:06being.
02:07So some concern over that.
02:09We potentially could get an update a little bit later on.
02:11We've only seen one here on this day, a day later after this.
02:15They are releasing some of the images of this individual they're concerned about or they're
02:21trying to keep an eye on.
02:22Let's take you right now out to here on Live Now from Fox.
02:26Let's just continue to talk about what we know with this as we potentially await for
02:31the top of our Fox 5 New York station here.
02:34So this is on the campus, Orem, Utah, as we saw screenshots pulled from campus security
02:41footage prior to the shooting, which occurred around 12.20 p.m. local time.
02:45They're asking the public for help.
02:47The FBI is offering reward up to $100,000 for information leading to the arrest or identification
02:54arrest of a person responsible.
02:57They are monitoring, obviously, a potential recovering.
03:00A high-powered bolt-action rifle recovered in a wooded area close by where the shooter fled.
03:06They say they have also recovered a footwear impression, a palm print, forearm imprints for
03:12analysis in this regard.
03:14They're already receiving some 200 tips so far, asking individuals to continue to call
03:19them in.
03:20So this shot is a little bit shaky, but you can see their forensics potentially going through
03:24some of this with gloves, monitoring what's happening there, seeing if there's any finer
03:29details, finer points that they can pick up for what's going on.
03:33Let's take you now, though, out to our Fox 5 team in New York.
03:36Plenty of top headlines as President Trump attending the Yankees-Tigers game.
03:40Let's take you out to this here on 9-11.
03:44Plus, honor and reflection.
03:45We are marking 24 years since the September 11th terror attacks and paying tribute to the
03:50lives lost on that tragic day.
03:52Good evening.
03:53I'm Bianca Peters.
03:54And I'm Natasha Verma.
03:55Welcome to the 6 o'clock news.
03:57Somber ceremonies are being held across the nation, including many right here in our area,
04:01as we remember the nearly 3,000 innocent victims who died in the attacks.
04:06One of those ceremonies taking place in Lower Manhattan as the names of the nearly 3,000
04:11people killed on 9-11 were read.
04:14Fox Eyes' Antoine Lewis begins our coverage tonight.
04:16He is live in Lower Manhattan with more on today's tributes.
04:19An emotional one.
04:20Antoine.
04:23Natasha and Bianca, we just want to set the scene for you.
04:26As you take a look behind me, you can see that people are still down here at the North
04:29Pool, down here paying their respects here at the 9-11 Memorial.
04:33And for many, even after 24 years, this day just simply remains very, very hard.
04:40The memories and the emotions return for all of those that were here today for the annual
04:44recitation of the names of the nearly 3,000 lives that were lost when the towers fell 24
04:49years ago.
04:50And for many that were doing the readings today, they were actually doing so with a pain that
04:55they still very much feel.
04:57Take a listen.
04:57And my husband, Edward Frank Lewis, this year is more difficult because two of our three
05:04children are getting married and you can't walk your princess down the aisle.
05:09And my cousin, Michael J.
05:12Berkeley.
05:13Michael, 24 years ago, you became what we all know as a white rose.
05:19I don't know why God chose to take you on the day you were born, but there was a reason.
05:27So you can imagine just the intense pain and just how much that's translated here.
05:37But amidst all of that, we can let you know that we have also seen on display here since
05:42the time that we've been here, hugs, we've seen tears, we've seen strangers comforting
05:46each other.
05:46I witnessed that myself a little bit earlier when we were getting into place.
05:50But one person we spoke with said, you know, that they felt they need to come back twice.
05:54They were here this morning and then came back after work because this was the right
05:57thing to do on this particular day in this particular place.
06:01Back inside to you.
06:02I'd love to hear that, especially just someone wanting to go back twice and pay their respects
06:07that much.
06:08Thank you, Anton, for reporting on that.
06:10Yeah.
06:11All right.
06:12President Trump visited the Pentagon Chapel after paying tribute to victims of the September
06:1611th attacks after laying a wreath.
06:18Mr. Trump and First Lady Melania Trump signed a guest book at the Pentagon Memorial.
06:22This was their chapel located at the site where a hijacked plane crashed right into the building.
06:28President Trump wrote, we love you all on that page.
06:31The wreath honors the 125 people who were killed inside of the Pentagon, including both military
06:36and civilian employees and 59 people on board American Airlines Flight 77.
06:42And bells told and a moment of silence was held for the victims of United Airlines Flight 93.
06:47A remembrance ceremony was held Thursday at the Flight 93 National Memorial in Pennsylvania,
06:53marking 24 years since the September 11th attacks.
06:56The names of 40 passengers and crew were read aloud and a wreath laid in their honor.
07:01Those on board Flight 93 thwarted the hijackers' planes, which are believed to have been an attack
07:07on the U.S. Capitol.
07:08And on Long Island, a remembrance ceremony was held at Point Lookout Beach.
07:12More than 400 people from Long Island were killed on 9-11.
07:16During today's tribute, people placed flowers at the base of the 30-foot piece of the World
07:20Trade Center steel and traced the names of their loved ones from the memorial wall.
07:24The wall now holds nearly 5,000 names of those not only killed that day, but also people who
07:30lost their lives to 9-11-related illnesses.
07:33More than 300 names were added just this year.
07:36Over in Jersey City, people came to the Hudson River waterfront to remember the names of 39
07:42Jersey City residents who died that day.
07:45Located at the foot of Grand Street, the memorial is made of twisted steel brought over from Ground
07:49Zero.
07:50It's located on the same site that served as a triage center in the immediate aftermath of
07:55the attacks.
07:56Here, first responders provided critical care and support to people seeking refuge across
08:00the river.
08:01The Bronx now, where President Trump is set to attend tonight's Yankee game.
08:05It's just the third time ever a sitting president has visited the stadium.
08:09Fox State's Sherrod Crowley joins us now with how fans are feeling, and I'm sure the security
08:13is so beefed up for the president.
08:15All right, you're just listening in there to our Fox 5 team.
08:17We just spoke with Sherrod Crowley there on the ground at Yankee Stadium, talking about
08:21the increased security due to the president being in attendance, also due to the fact that
08:26it is September 11th.
08:28So we're following that closely here on Live Now from Fox.
08:30I believe we do have a live picture right now, potentially, of Air Force One.
08:34We already got faked out once by this plane today, but this, I believe, they're touching
08:39down in New York City.
08:40You can see Pan Bondi, I believe, in attendance on the phone for this.
08:44So this appears to be Air Force One still taking some conversations, some meetings right
08:48now.
08:48So following it closely here on Live Now from Fox, as soon enough they will step off this
08:53plane and onto the tarmac and head into the Bronx to Yankee Stadium.
08:58So obviously we're keeping an eye on this here on Live Now from Fox.
09:04I do want to provide another update on a breaking news situation that we're monitoring right
09:08now out of Annapolis, Maryland.
09:11This being there in one of the service academies.
09:14You can look at a live picture of lockdown potentially in place as this is people with
09:20long guns armed at ready.
09:22We're getting just some of these images.
09:24I'm not going to lose this image right now, but I'm going to read you a statement coming
09:27in from the U.S. Naval Academy saying,
09:30Naval support activity Annapolis, in coordination with local law enforcement, is currently responding
09:36to reports of the threats made to the Naval Academy.
09:39The base is on the lockdown out of an abundance of caution.
09:42This is a developing situation.
09:44We are providing updates as they become available.
09:47Please avoid the area until further notice.
09:49So you can see there right on the harbor, the ships there, but also people walking down
09:54this path.
09:55They have a K-9 unit.
09:56So very developing right now there in this area.
10:00They're asking people to shelter in place to stay out of the way.
10:03And this is concerning, to say the least, just in light of what we've seen in the last several
10:09days, several weeks.
10:11But you can see they're armed at ready walking down this path, this high atop there, kind of
10:17away from Baltimore, away from Washington, D.C., if you're familiar with the area on this
10:22Naval Academy.
10:23And I believe potentially we saw similar situations at different bases recently and recent times.
10:28It's hard to keep track of all of what's going on.
10:31But this is a very developing story right now there.
10:33You can see armed and at ready on this campus, vehicles in place for this.
10:38So I'm not exactly sure what they're looking for, who they're looking for, what's going on,
10:43what the reports may or may not be, but a very active scene.
10:48You can see there police with weapons drawn on the ground in Annapolis, Maryland, a K-9
10:54unit flanking them behind.
10:56And this is a very active scene.
10:58They're using their training, what they're trained for at the U.S.
11:02Naval Academy there on lockdown.
11:03So following that closely here on Live Now from Vox.
11:07I do believe I see another glimpse inside of Air Force One.
11:10So we're going to dip out of that real quickly, monitoring that very closely.
11:14But as we see this popping up, this was Air Force One.
11:17We did see the door open up just briefly.
11:19So keep an eye on all of these situations going on right now as he has landed there in
11:25New York ahead of this Yankee game against the Detroit Tigers.
11:29So all of these live pictures that we're gathering, we're going to take it to you in real time.
11:34What we see, what we know at this present moment, keeping you up to date on all of these
11:40things.
11:40But as this shot, obviously, no sign of President Trump at this moment.
11:45Let's take you back out to the other one there in Annapolis, Maryland, a developing story
11:50right now of what's going on with this, an active situation.
