02:44Brendan Rodgers looking to focus on the football now, as his opposite number, Stuart Kettlewell, tries to mastermind a victory over the champions.
02:58Here's Sriracha.
03:00Tati forwards.
03:04Migran into Maidat.
03:06Tunecti now up against James Brown.
03:12Now blocked by the wing-back.
03:16Tunecti once more, he'll try again against Brown.
03:26This time he tries to take him on the outside, stabs it in.
03:30Claims for a handball.
03:32Stanger at that near post.
03:34Nothing given.
03:40Maidat will go and chase that.
03:42Stanger claims he was nudged.
03:46Tunecti still asking for the handball.
03:48Another view of it here.
03:50It's Sriracha.
03:56On from Boca Juniors.
04:00Atati now.
04:02Comes off Stanger for the corner.
04:06Celtic's first of the afternoon.
04:10It's a good area.
04:12And Stanger claims that off-card.
04:14Didn't quite make the connection he was probably looking for as it came to him late.
04:24Didn't really know much about it at all.
04:26You can see in the goal behind Kasper Schmeichel.
04:30A large chunk of the Celtic support yet to take their seats.
04:34Part of a fan protest.
04:38And the Celtic fans now making their way in.
04:41Those who stayed away to the twelfth minute.
04:45Part of a protest against the running of the club.
04:49By the current board.
04:51The Celtic boards left in no doubt as to a chunk of their support's feelings towards them.
05:03Celtic need a spark from somewhere.
05:11McGregor could provide it here.
05:13And Tunecti gets on the end of the pass.
05:17Which was a terrific one for McGregor.
05:19He just couldn't keep the effort down.
05:21Tough one to take for sure.
05:23The first real opening for Celtic.
05:31Kelechi Ayanacho.
05:33In line to make his Celtic debut at some point this afternoon.
05:37Scales out to Siracchi.
05:47And Hatati.
05:49Tunecti does well to get round Brown.
05:53Opportunity here for Celtic.
05:55It's Nugren going for goal.
05:57Straight at Strayek.
05:59First save he's had to make.
06:0138 minutes.
06:07John Beaton happy with the challenge.
06:09Or at least he seemed to be.
06:16It's going to be a yellow card actually in the end for Tunecti.
06:20It appeared that John Beaton had let this one go.
06:26Tunecti doing ever so well.
06:28But Nugren just couldn't get out of his feet to really trouble Strayek.
06:37Scales forward for Tunecti.
06:40Back goes Watson with him this time.
06:42Glides away from a couple of challenges.
06:45Back to Kartavikars now.
06:47He's going to go for goal.
06:48It's a decent effort from Kartavikars.
06:50Forcing Strayek to push it wide.
06:53He got hold of this well.
06:55The centre back.
06:57And it took a reflection as well.
06:59It's a good save from Strayek.
07:07Donovan from Balikwisha.
07:09Dees in the way.
07:10It's a good play from Dees.
07:12Polworth now.
07:13He's got the wrong side of McGregor.
07:17Caught by Nugren.
07:18Polworth leaves it to Thompson.
07:32Watson gets there but can't throw it gowards.
07:35Again it goes down as a chance for Kilmarnock.
07:38He's onside.
07:40Jesken couldn't get the purchase he was looking for.
07:50Polworth.
07:51Different angle to send it in from.
07:52Curls it in but beyond all of his teammates.
07:56And Schmeichel immediately fires it forward.
07:58It's a brilliant ball from Schmeichel.
08:00But a good challenge also by Watson on Tenekty.
08:04Technique there from Schmeichel's outstanding.
08:10Outstanding.
08:19Siracchi.
08:20Swings it in.
08:21Dangerously!
08:22There is the moment of quality that Celtic have been waiting for.
08:27And it's Dyson Maida who finishes it off.
08:30To open the scoring.
08:41Well it's been a game short of inspiration.
08:45But Dyson Maida getting on the end of a fabulous ball in from Siracchi.
08:51Look at the movement as well from Maida.
08:53Coming across the defender to glance at beyond Schmeichel.
09:01It's his first league goal of the season.
09:03And it's a very, very timely one from Dyson Maida.
09:07Who might have wanted a way.
09:09But he's still among the goals for Celtic.
09:14Well Kilmarnock are adamant they should have had the throw-in
09:16in the lead-up to that Celtic goal.
09:18David Watson pretty frustrated.
09:21He felt it came off the Celtic player last.
09:25Celtic will still make the changes they were contemplating.
09:29Balakwisha is replaced by James Forrest.
09:33And Siracchi, despite that terrific assist,
09:37is replaced by Kieran Tierney.
09:39Tunechti will gather this one.
09:49Tries to get the better of Stenger.
09:53And does.
09:55Sebastian Tunechti.
09:57Here's the break of the ball.
09:58Nigger with a chance.
09:59And deflected over the top by Thompson.
10:07The Celtic almost adding a second here.
10:11Certainly on target before Thompson's intervention.
10:15There's skills.
10:19Tenecti.
10:20One way then the other.
10:21He's done really well, handball surely.
10:22Nothing given by John Vieton.
10:23Celtic disbelieving there.
10:24One way then the other, he's done really well, handball surely.
10:31Nothing given by John Beaton.
10:39Celtic disbelieving there, it was terrific wing play.
10:44McGregor seeming to accept John Beaton's explanation here.
10:48Across the box it comes, and it is being checked.
10:57Robbie Dee's arm does seem to be out from his body.
11:01Has it come off the top of his arm perhaps?
11:04Has it come off strike and up?
11:07It has been checked by Matthew McDermott who's the VAR on duty today.
11:11Callum McGregor can see the funny side of it, but no penalty is awarded as Dyson Maida is replaced having scored the only goal of the game.
11:28And it will be a Celtic debut for former Man City and Leicester striker, Kelechi Ayanacho.
11:35And Luke McCown coming on to replace Rio Hatate.
11:40Tunectin out.
11:43There's Dakers.
11:56Negrin trying to get back at him, just to be careful.
12:00Dakers still.
12:02And that's poked just wide of the post by Negrin, so close to an own goal.
12:08Well, Kasper Schmeichel could only watch this in hope.
12:15Unfortunately for him, it ruled the wrong side of the post from Kilmarnock's perspective.
12:30Here's McEwen.
12:32Out to Tenecte.
12:37Looks like he'll be a player who will continue to excite the Celtic fans, and he's again close to a debut goal.
12:45As he comes in off that right flank, onto the right foot, and gets the shot off.
12:50Unfortunately for him, drags it wide in the near post.
12:53Tend to play at Rugby Park, the Celtic leading by a goal to nil.
13:00Neat touch from McGregor, invites Tierney forward.
13:03And now it's Sebastian Tunecti.
13:06Leaves it back for McEwen, chance for McEwen.
13:11And Thompson again is the man in the way of the goal-bound effort.
13:15Celtic looking to kill Kilmarnock off.
13:18They haven't been able to find that second goal.
13:28Strikes, long ball, flicked on by Daggers, Watkins could be in here.
13:31Brilliant goalkeeper by Schmeichel.
13:33But now it's Andersen, Andersen!
13:35And Celtic force it behind for a corner.
13:38This is as good a chance as Kilmarnock have had.
13:44Watkins so close to being able to force that beyond the goalkeeper.
13:51And then Andersen denied once again by Schmeichel.
13:55Can they find a leveller? It's Kilti's corner into a dangerous area.
13:59Comes to the back post and deflected of Kobe Donovan from Andersen's volley.
14:09Scales with the initial header.
14:11And Donovan doing well to divert that one behind.
14:15Kilti to try from the other side.
14:17And it comes, there's the equaliser!
14:19Fabulous header!
14:21And it's David Watson who specialises in goals against Celtic.
14:26And that is an emphatic header.
14:29To level things up.
14:32Delight for the home fans.
14:37As one of their own.
14:39Makes it Kilmarnock one, Celtic one.
14:45Great delivery from Kilti.
14:47And Watson wants it more than anyone else in there.
14:53And Kilmarnock.
14:58With just minutes remaining.
15:00Draw themselves level.
15:02Beyond Schmeichel before he knew it.
15:05Nails being bitten in the visiting end.
15:14Not to Dakers.
15:16Anderson.
15:22Come on at looking the likelier side in these closing minutes.
15:28Kilti.
15:29Just couldn't keep the ball but McGregor's lost it on the edge of the box.
15:32And that's not far away.
15:35Marley Watkins.
15:37Denied.
15:38By the deflection.
15:41Celtic rocking somewhat.
15:43Comes off scales and wide.
15:46Kilmarnock looking for a winner.
15:48It's a good ball and again it's not cleared by the Celtic defense.
15:52Eventually Schmeichel gets a grip of it.
16:01Kilmarnock once more winning the loose ball.
16:04Oh, the three kicks gone.
16:06Celtic's way.
16:07This is the opportunity.
16:08Mayo attacking it.
16:09Tierney doing enough to divert it.
16:10Off target.
16:11And Carter Vickers' attention is on Dees.
16:12Sufficient to prevent him getting a shot off.
16:13The Celtic come again.
16:14The Celtic come again.
16:15Forrest.
16:16For Donovan.
16:17And Celtic find the goal they're looking for.
16:18Donovan's done well.
16:19Cuts it back.
16:20Big chance.
16:21deflected behind.
16:22And it's a goal kick in the end.
16:24And it's a goal kick in the end.
16:25Donovan at the better of Thompson here.
16:27Cuts it back for Forrest.
16:28And it's a goal kick in the end.
16:29Donovan at the better of Thompson here.
16:30Cuts it back for Forrest.
16:31And off.
16:32It's actually the hands of Mayo there.
16:33And it's a goal kick in the end.
16:34Donovan at the better of Thompson here.
16:35Cuts it back for Forrest.
16:36And off.
16:37Actually the hands of Mayo there.
16:38Well.
16:39Wonder if this has been checked by VAR.
16:41Time will take off the plate.
16:43Some of them win their goal.
16:44It's out.
16:45And Noah do one run and still nerves buy it forty while she's down.
16:47Once you've got the point they're looking for.
16:48And they did nothing for for me.
16:49It's a goal kick in the end.
16:50Better infuse.
16:51Up to Davies come again.
16:52It's a good win.
16:53It's obviously better for Donovan if Edwin in the game.
16:54It's a good win.
16:55And this happens at a big win.
16:56Real good job.
16:57And Antonio.
16:58Mea do.
16:59Watch!
17:00Hey!
17:01I don't even know who Roblin has a good game.
17:03Yeah.
17:04For I think at the expense.
17:05Yeah.
17:07And the pace.
17:08I mean, it comes off Mayo at such close range,
17:13I'm not sure he could have done anything about it.
17:17Looks like he's going to go to the monitor, John Beaton, Celtic
17:21could have a late penalty here.
17:29I mean, that's a really tricky one.
17:32It comes off him from about a yard away.
17:35But he's going to award the penalty here, John Beaton.
17:43Now Lewis Meehl makes his case.
17:46The referee explains the decision to the command at captain Robbie Dees.
17:52And an opportunity here for Celtic to seal all three points.
17:58Galicia Ayanacho fancies this.
18:01So it's Ayanacho on his debut.
18:05To clinch it for Celtic up against Max Stryak.
18:09Up he steps Ayanacho.
18:11And scores!
18:13Celtic have the victory.
18:15Ayanacho, the match winner in his first Celtic appearance.
18:20And the champions have produced the victory once again.
18:26But it's misery for Kilmarnock and Stuart Kettlewell.
18:30As Ayanacho keeps his cool high into the net.
18:34And surely now Celtic will take all three points.
18:37It's all over.
18:38And Celtic do have the victory to return to the top of the table.
18:40Kilmarnock thought they'd earn themselves a point.
18:42Until the late penalty award.
18:43That will be debated.
18:44And Stuart Kettlewell's side fall into their first defeat.
18:48Of the league season.
18:49Finishes at Rugby Park.
18:50Kilmarnock one.
18:51Celtic two.
18:52Well, absolutely delighted for everyone really.
18:53I think that we obviously had a lot of control in the game without creating so much in the
19:05first half.
19:06Obviously international break, lots of new things.
19:09We've had to go first half half.
19:10We had to go first half half of the game.
19:11And now, we asked a couple of players.
19:13I think that we obviously had a lot of control on the game without creating so much in the first half.
19:20Obviously, international break, lots of new faces in the starting line-up,
19:23so a few of the connections, not as fluid as maybe what you would like,
19:27but we still were comfortable in the game.
19:30Talked about at half-time, just feeding and switching the ball quicker,
19:34feeding the wide areas quicker.
19:36And really, second half, we dominated the game and deservedly went in front
19:40and had other opportunities maybe.
19:41Great penalty and just delayed it for the team because there's been so much noise around the last couple of weeks,
19:48but to get out there, get playing and win was really pleasing.
19:52Quite obviously, frustration, disappointment, gutted for the players, not for myself.
19:58I'm gutted for the players for what they put into a game of football
20:00and to lose it in that nature at the end of the game.
20:04It's heartbreaking for them, it's a sore one for us all here at Kilmarnock,
20:08especially at a point in the game where I felt we were the team in the ascendancy.
20:11Is it a penalty? Again, this isn't my place to say.
20:14What I will give you is the factual side of it.
20:16I sat here with the players, the staff, myself, for a referees meeting at the start of the season.
20:22That type of incident was addressed at that meeting.
20:24We've all come away and spoke about this in the dressing room after the game.
20:27We were under the impression that with two players at such close proximity,
20:31a ricocheted ball coming up off of somebody's foot and hitting your arm from that distance,
20:35that wasn't going to be given as a penalty anymore.
20:38Of course, I'm frustrated if that's what I've been told.
20:40So I now come back to the situation where I say, if that's not the case and that's not the rule,
20:45then someone will have to tell me.
20:46And I wouldn't stand here in front of a camera and speak at yourself and all the rest of it
20:50if I felt it was a different way.
20:51I would be honest enough to say that they told us that was going to be a penalty.
20:54So we need to accept it, take our medicine and move on.
20:56But that wasn't the case.
20:58We have to start with that dramatic finale and that handball decision.
21:03If only I was joined by a handball expert.
21:06With me is Michael Stewart.
21:07Michael, the SFA guidance is that a deflection doesn't always negate a handball, it seems.
21:15And the arm is in an unnatural position.
21:19What is your view?
21:20Well, if it doesn't negate, it would be great for them to tell us why it doesn't negate in this instant.
21:26You know, to come out with a general comment like that, to me, just smacks of, we're just doubling down.
21:32And the hand is in an unnatural position.
21:34I would disagree with that completely in terms of, it comes down to, it's an unnatural position.
21:40If the movement doesn't indicate that the arm should be in that, you know, position.
21:47Now, he's trying to get his leg across to block the shot.
21:51But his arm, if you look at it, I think is in a completely normal position due to the action that he's taken.
21:57I just, I find it staggering that they could comment and say that deflection doesn't always negate.
22:04This deflection literally changes the angle of the ball completely from a foot away off a teammate.
22:09So, proximity, deflection and, to me, the arm isn't in an unnatural position.
22:15I think it's an extremely harsh decision.
22:18I think as soon as John Beating gets sent over to the monitor, it then becomes difficult for him to turn around and say no penalty.
22:24Because it clearly does strike the arm.
22:26But I would have liked to have thought that the official could have seen through that and made his own mind up.
22:31But, clearly, it's not been, you know, the case.
22:36And I've got a lot of sympathy for Kilmarnock.
22:38And I think any team that had that decision given against them would be extremely unhappy.
22:42And to couple it with the fact that the first goal came from a throwing, a shy, that probably should have been going the other way.
22:51Watson putting a great tackle on Tonecte.
22:55And the ball deflected off him.
22:57And then Celtic got the throwing and scored, you know, the first goal from that.
23:00So, it just probably adds salt to the gaping wind that Kilmarnock are suffering at the moment.
23:07It was a wonderfully taken header by Daz and Maida.
23:09It was.
23:09A player that's been in the headlines a lot.
23:11It seemed that he wanted to leave Celtic.
23:13What did he make of his performance today?
23:15Because a lot of people are feeling that he hasn't been quite the same player as last season.
23:19Well, he hasn't been.
23:20I mean, whether that's got anything to do with the speculation that was obviously not public,
23:24but he would have been feeling himself, well, you know, we won't know.
23:27But I think generally he's the type of player that I would imagine Brendan Rodgers has not got too many concerns about
23:34in terms of putting his head down and getting on and working hard and doing well for the team.
23:39Everybody goes through phases of, you know, their career, their season where their form's not particularly great.
23:45I would imagine that Daz and Maida will start to pick up again.
23:48And that was certainly a very, very good goal.
23:50It was a great cross from Scratchie.
23:52And then the header from Maida was top dollar.
23:56And they needed it at that point.
23:58You know, they needed something to bring them to life.
24:00And it certainly did.
24:01Because I thought after that Celtic really started to step it up.
24:05But, yeah, latterly, you know, it was Kilmarnock, really, the ones that were in the ascendancy.
24:09Kilmarnock did put so much into this match, Michael.
24:12And David Watson's header.
24:14Yeah, cracker.
24:15What a good header that was.
24:16Oh, it was an absolute belter.
24:17It really was.
24:18You know, he got up brilliantly, towering above the opponents and firing at the back of the net.
24:24The goalkeeper, Schmeichel, had absolutely no chance.
24:27And as I said, you know, at that point in the game, it really felt from then on,
24:32and probably a few minutes beforehand as well, like Kilmarnock were the side that were on top.
24:38They were the ones that were really pressing forward.
24:39It felt like they were, you know, potentially going to pick up three points if either side were going to do that.
24:45It felt like the home side were going to.
24:47So, I mean, to come away from this game with nothing on such a controversial decision like that right at the end,
24:53the last kick of the ball, I've got a lot of sympathy for Kilmarnock this afternoon.
24:58It's a real bitter pill to swallow.
25:00So, Kelechi Iheanaccio obviously getting the decisive goal today on his debut.
25:05Somebody that Brendan Rodgers knows very well indeed, and that's going to do wonders, you'd imagine, for his confidence going forward.
25:11And so much focus before this match, obviously, on Brendan Rodgers and everything going on off the field with Celtic.
25:18Did you detect that in terms of the Celtic performance for parts of this afternoon, the stresses and strains off the field?
25:27No, I wouldn't have said so.
25:28I mean, coming to Rugby Park is always a difficult, you know, fixture anyway.
25:31I think the big thing for Celtic is the cutting edge on the side.
25:37You know, that's what's been lacking this season so far.
25:39I thought for large parts of the first half, it was lacking again.
25:43I thought Tonecte was the one that looked like, on occasions, that he was maybe going to do something.
25:49Balakwishi on the other side, I've got to say, was very disappointing.
25:53You know, it didn't look like he was engaged in the game at all,
25:56whereas on the other side, Tonecte looked like he was capable of doing something.
25:59So I don't think there was the stresses of what's been surrounding the club,
26:03but certainly the cutting edge of the game, the top end of the park,
26:07will need to continue to progress and get better for Celtic.
26:10Just briefly, we saw the fans make the protest.
26:13Do you think if Celtic continue to rack up the wins, that just dissipates over time?
26:20No, I don't think it dissipates.
26:21I think that there is a genuine disquiet amongst the support with how things have been handled,
26:29and I can understand why.
26:31I think the statement from the board was a PR disaster,
26:35and I think that in itself is only going to have made things worse.
26:39So I don't think it will dissipate.
26:40It may well quieten, you know, throughout,
26:43but there's going to be moments where it will heighten again this season.
26:45Michael, for the moment, thank you very much.
26:47Indeed, never a dull moment in Scottish football.
26:50It was a hugely eventful Saturday.
26:52Sapsford always makes himself available.
27:00Ferry swings it in, the header,
27:02and the opening goal goes the way of Dundee United.
27:05Well, they have been struggling,
27:07but it's the perfect goal from Lucas Stevenson.
27:10That was a lovely play.
27:12Buschery cleared it.
27:14How about that for a cross from Ferry?
27:19McGrath, goalkeeper, came for it,
27:21and that came off Buschery.
27:25Well, Kuczynenko, if you're going to come for it,
27:28you've got to be a lot more positive than that.
27:31In fact, that might go down as an own goal.
27:37Fata, it's a little chance to run now.
27:41Pleased it through.
27:41There's two here for United.
27:43That's brilliant play.
27:44It's all about to come back.
27:45Dolcekin it's in.
27:46That is absolutely terrific from Dundee United.
27:50But I've got it moving.
27:51Held enough to make sure these players were onside
27:55and selfishly took it around,
27:57and the cutback was beautiful.
27:59It's a little loose.
28:00Mulligan tried to close down.
28:04Fata.
28:06Fata.
28:06Drives the ball across.
28:07Chance!
28:09And it's the second for Stevenson.
28:13Fata.
28:15Turned on the burners.
28:16Clipped it across.
28:18It's Stevenson ready.
28:19Drills that across.
28:22Flagstead down.
28:24As Moyle came through.
28:31Did not have counties.
28:35Play continues.
28:37Bowies past his man.
28:38This for three-two.
28:39Well done to United.
28:42What a free kick.
28:43Referee Dan McFarlane says no.
28:46That was the free kick.
28:48It looked like a free kick.
28:50The ball rolled its way.
28:51On to Bowie.
28:53And he finished it well.
28:54So the goal has been officially disallowed.
28:56by the on-field team.
28:59That is now being checked by VAR.
29:02John Beaton.
29:03And Sean Carr.
29:05As John Beaton's in conversation.
29:07The goal is given.
29:12He's ducked.
29:13Goalkeeper comes again.
29:14Punches.
29:15There's a shout for handball.
29:18So it came across.
29:20Now watch Bowie.
29:21Bowie went down under the challenge.
29:24It's the handball.
29:26That is being considered.
29:31This is the picture.
29:35Did that come up?
29:36Off his arm.
29:38The arm was out.
29:40And it brushes just below.
29:42The short sleeve.
29:47Penalty.
29:51And it's a red card.
29:53The pitch goes away.
29:57It's ordered off.
30:03Takes another breath.
30:05Short run up.
30:07Keeper went the right way.
30:08The ball went beyond him.
30:09And into the corner.
30:11And it's three apiece.
30:12James McGrath looked confident.
30:17Right for him.
30:18The goalkeeper.
30:19Just couldn't reach it.
30:21Will it be Phillips or John?
30:28It will be the left foot of Declan John.
30:31And it is 1-0 St. Mirren.
30:37Deadlock broken.
30:38And it comes in a rather cruel fashion for Falkirk.
30:43Not that they care, the St. Mirren fans.
30:50St. Mirren with a bit between their teeth now.
30:53Richard King.
30:54Wonderful pass.
30:55Phillips with a great touch.
30:56And the save was rather excellent too from Scott Bain.
31:01Keeps it to 1-0 for now.
31:06Phillips unlucky.
31:07And St. Mirren get on with things.
31:15And John with space to cross.
31:17And Mandron goes up.
31:18And there is the second.
31:21Mikel Mandron's first Premiership goal of the season.
31:25But Falkirk guilty of switching off from the throw-in.
31:28Allowing the danger man Declan John to whip the ball in.
31:31And Mandron did the rest.
31:36John clears.
31:37It's probably been the standout for St. Mirren this afternoon.
31:43Falkirk not done yet though.
31:45Here is McCann.
31:47Well that's a teasing ball.
31:49Met by Brian Graham.
31:51And Falkirk have hope yet.
31:54The veteran striker gets his team on the boards.
31:59Another delicious delivery from McCann.
32:02And that is vintage Brian Graham.
32:04St. Mirren have their first league win of the season.
32:09Steven Robinson marks his 400th game as a manager with victory.
32:15Robertson to right who gives the ball away to Longlow.
32:24Now on to Mazwanisi.
32:26Burns beyond Graham.
32:27It's Mazwanisi.
32:28And it's magnificent from Mazwanisi.
32:34As Motherwell lead by a goal to Nilla at Denz Park.
32:37He was the match winner here when the sides met back in May.
32:45And it's just brilliant pace, brilliant control and an excellent finish.
32:50He burned beyond Luke Graham.
32:52And McCracken was rooted to the spot.
33:05Short it goes to Cameron Congreve.
33:10The substitute swings one in.
33:11Finds Luke Graham.
33:12And it's a brilliant header from Luke Graham.
33:18His first Premiership goal.
33:21Draws Dundee level at Denz.
33:25It's a lightning quick start to the second half from the home side.
33:30A pinpoint delivery.
33:32And an excellent header from Graham.
33:33It's a loose touch from Faddinger and the lunging challenge from Jan Danda.
33:47And it's a red card for Jan Danda.
33:51A straight red card for the Dundee midfielder.
33:55He went lunging into the challenge.
33:57He caught some of the ball but I think it's the follow through.
34:00Which has seen him dismissed by Callum Scott.
34:03Of course, everything is checked by VAR but I haven't seen enough to overturn this one.
34:13And it's all over at Denz Park.
34:15As Motherwell become the first team this century to draw six consecutive matches in the Scottish Premiership.
34:22Final score.
34:23Dundee won.
34:24Motherwell won.
34:24This might drop and the shot is wide from Alshish.
34:39A quick groan up to the sky because Madhila Alshish knows that was an opportunity.
34:49It's enough pressure from Montgomery.
34:51Kesskanen driving Aberdeen forward again.
34:57Nisbet.
34:57Here's Jensen.
34:59Oh, strong fingertips from Prior.
35:01The full-back found himself in so much space.
35:07Nisbet well aware.
35:09And so much time for Jensen.
35:11Who executes it well.
35:14But the big frame of Jerome Prior.
35:16It's a strong right hand to it.
35:18And here's a chance for Karlsson.
35:28Well, Petaudry expected the net to burst.
35:32Karlsson does well to try and catch Prior out.
35:34But the angle's just too difficult.
35:39Hipped up towards Jesper Karlsson.
35:44Deep delivery.
35:45Pala Versa, urge to shoot.
35:48Superb save from Prior.
35:50That was wonderfully caught by Antti Pala Versa.
35:58Aberdeen for the lovely passage of play.
36:07Just over a minimum of two further to play.
36:10This is Topi Kesskanen.
36:12It's there for Clarkson.
36:15What a block from Danny Wilson.
36:21Clarkson looks around.
36:24In disbelief.
36:27That his effort came up off the Livingston defender.
36:31A superb challenge.
36:33Shankland, he's an arm.
36:41Rangers supporters think so.
36:43Play on.
36:44Here's Braga.
36:46Waiting for support.
36:48The reverse to Shankland.
36:49And that's a brilliant goal for Hats.
36:51And Shankland, as he so often has done.
36:58Finishes superbly well.
37:03Rangers' troubles just continue.
37:05Here's Tavernier.
37:09Here's Tavernier.
37:16And Kusama.
37:18And he's so unlucky.
37:21There's just one thing in his mind when the ball arrived at him.
37:24Rangers need to find something from somewhere.
37:33Where's that going?
37:34It's on the line.
37:37Eventually bundled home.
37:39But there's the whistle.
37:42To deny Tilo Oscar.
37:44And the goal has been ruled out.
37:51On field decision stands.
37:56Here goes Mel.
37:59He's gone down.
38:01And Stephen McLean awards the penalty.
38:07Brilliant positive play by Harry Mel.
38:09He's been excellent this afternoon.
38:11As he has been since the start of the season.
38:1818 games against Rangers without a victory.
38:22And Lawrence Shankland's right boot is the chance.
38:26To put that record right.
38:29And Buckland saves.
38:31And Shankland's there.
38:342-0.
38:35Heart of Midlothian.
38:38And Shankland was quickly there on the follow-up.
38:40To make sure that his penalty failure does not matter.
38:46That's the seven minutes that were added up.
38:49Here's Kabangu.
38:53Chance here to make it three.
38:55And it bounces back off the post.
39:03And it finishes at Ibrox.
39:05Rangers 0.
39:06Heart of Midlothian 2.
39:07A seismic victory for Hearts against Rangers.
39:11It really felt like Ibrox turned against Russell Martin.
39:16Michael, the suggestion seems to be that for now Russell Martin will remain in post.
39:20But what happens to him if Rangers lose to Hibernian in the Premier Sports Cup quarterfinals next weekend?
39:26Well, I mean, look, it's a good question.
39:29It's an understandable question.
39:31But the truth is I don't think any of us really know.
39:35Because, you know, Russell Martin's a manager who was not universally welcomed.
39:40There was a lot of the Rangers support that were unsure about him in the first place.
39:44He's had a horrendous start to his managerial career at Rangers.
39:47You know, he's setting all sorts of records that he really would not be wanting to be setting.
39:53And, you know, there's been a number of games and weeks that have come and passed
39:57that you would have asked those questions in terms of what happens if he doesn't win this game?
40:00What happens if he doesn't win that game?
40:02And he seems to have bounced from week to week without, you know, suffering the fatal blow.
40:08Now, next week against Hibbs, you know, obviously a side to 3-3 yesterday
40:12at Easter Road, a very entertaining game.
40:16They're a little bit open at the moment.
40:17They're a wee bit defensively frail.
40:20But they're a side who have got real attack and threat.
40:22We saw that yesterday as well.
40:24And if Rangers are not at it, and they really don't appear to be at it,
40:29then Hibbs are a side that can really go and punish them.
40:31So, time will tell what happens next week and what the result is.
40:35But certainly a lot of pressure is ramping up at Ibrox.
40:39But it doesn't seem to be affecting the manager.
40:41As for Hearts, the Jambo fans will be giddy with excitement
40:45with what's happening under Derek McInnes right now,
40:48given the result at Ibrox yesterday.
40:51Michael, are Hearts favourites now to finish second in the table?
40:56Well, there's an awful long way to go, Jonathan.
40:59And I think all you need to do is look at last season and what happened with Aberdeen
41:02and how dramatic the drop-off from them was.
41:06I don't think that will happen with Hearts.
41:09I think that they have more about them mentally.
41:13They have a very good squad.
41:15But history would suggest that the two clubs in Glasgow have got the biggest budgets.
41:21They've got strong squads.
41:23They more often than not are finishing in the first two positions.
41:27But I think what I would put my neck on the line and say is that the gap between second and third
41:32will not be as big as what it historically has been.
41:35I think Hearts will be able to close that.
41:37And whether it's a gap between Hearts and second and Rangers and third or vice versa,
41:43time will tell on that one.
41:44Michael, for the moment, thank you very much indeed.
41:47Let's take a look at the William Hill Premiership table.
41:49It certainly makes for interesting viewing.
41:53Celtic are back on top on goal difference from Hearts.
41:57Both sides on 13 points.
42:00Then it's Hibs and St Mirren both with six.
42:03Dundee United and Motherwell make up the top six.
42:06There you have it in the bottom six.
42:08Rangers in 10th place on just four points.
42:12And Aberdeen continue to be at the foot of the table with one solitary point.
42:17Plenty to keep you entertained.
42:21The SPFL Scottish Football Roundup is available on BBC Sport from tomorrow.
42:27And on BBC Scotland at half past seven, the SWPL highlights as well.
42:32Then later in the week, on Wednesday, Hibernian take on Inter Milan in the UEFA Women's Europa Cup.
42:38That's 6.50 on BBC Alapa.
42:41And then join me for St Johnston versus Dunfermline Athletic Friday night,
42:44half past seven on BBC Scotland.
42:47Never a dull moment.
42:50The reality show that is Scottish football keeps on rolling along.
42:53From Michael and from me, goodnight.
42:55Well done.
42:58Good night.
43:00My.
43:01Yeah.
43:01Good night.
43:04I don't know.
43:18I don't know.
43:19Get over, get over, get over
