00:00That was a good win.
00:02I mean, that's a team they don't beat, a quarterback they don't beat,
00:05a team they don't beat on the road,
00:08and a quarterback that they have a lot of difficulty beating.
00:12And they won that game.
00:14Let's start with Drake May, the most important player this season,
00:18his development.
00:19Your thoughts on the way he performed yesterday.
00:23So, Fred, I would say it was better than a good win from my view.
00:26I think it was a great win because the Patriots,
00:30this team has to learn how to win.
00:33And it was ugly at times, but these type of games, to me,
00:39in my experience, are so important for teams that are in the position
00:44the Patriots are in.
00:46So that's my big-picture view.
00:48And then specific to Drake May, I would amplify what Stefan Diggs said
00:54after the game.
00:55I think he used the words, he's growing up.
00:59And he took a step forward from last week in terms of just settling in
01:06early in the game.
01:08Yeah, I think it speaks volumes that Rabel immediately brought up
01:13in the postgame, what you alluded to there, Mike,
01:16how they bounced back.
01:19They got themselves in some bad positions and they were able to find the ways
01:26to end up winning the game, which is the thing that you're going for.
01:33But I think maybe we didn't give that enough credit at the start of the season
01:38with a new head coach and a new staff and a bunch of new players.
01:41There's like, all right, they've all won it at some level before,
01:45but winning together as this group, it's something that I think it was important
01:50for them to experience, to know what that feels like, what it feels like
01:53to bounce back, you know, to come from behind it at one point during the game
01:56and actually get that win so that they've, I don't know,
02:00it's almost like a muscle memory going forward.
02:02Oh, okay, you know, we're in a bad spot here, but we've done this before now,
02:06and that can do wonders for them.
02:09Especially after what happened last week, Hardy.
02:12You know, like, I think it's okay to say that we expected a little more
02:16from the season opener, especially in the second half of that game
02:19when they were stressing, you know, we want to be a second-half team.
02:23And so let's just hypothetical this.
02:26Let's say they go down to Miami and lose that game,
02:30which they easily could have because the game was within a play,
02:34you know, of going the other way.
02:37What would we be talking about?
02:38Well, same old story.
02:40Can't win in Miami.
02:42Same old story.
02:43This feels like 2024 again, right?
02:47And so that's why I really think this was a huge result for them to get.
02:52Well, acknowledging there's a lot to clean up there.
02:55Yeah.
