Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh – A shocking case has emerged from Panchavati Colony, where a woman allegedly conspired with her lover and a group claiming to be members of the Gulabi Gang to assault her husband inside his home.
According to police, the incident occurred on 18 September around 9 p.m., when the woman, identified as Mohini, arrived with six women and two men, including her lover Pradeep Thakur. Claiming to be from the Gulabi Gang, they forced open the gate and attacked her husband Ghanshyam Sahu and his nephew Rishi Sahu, who were having dinner.
CCTV footage shows the husband being knocked down and beaten for nearly 15 minutes, while Mohini allegedly stood outside and watched. During the assault, three mobile phones and a laptop were stolen. The attackers also threatened to kill him.
Ghanshyam, who married Mohini in 2012 and has two children, alleged that his wife is having an affair with Pradeep and wants to forcibly take the children away. The couple’s dispute is already pending in family court.
Based on Ghanshyam’s complaint and CCTV evidence, police registered a case against 11 accused, including Mohini, Pradeep, and accomplices under relevant IPC sections. Six women and two men are yet to be identified. SHO Rajesh Pal Singh confirmed that the matter is under investigation.
