00:00The Giants got to build off that week one preseason win against the Bills, so here's five things that I think you guys should keep an eye out on during the Giants-Jets joint practices this week, and of course the Snoopy Bowl on Saturday.
00:12First up, Russell Wilson and Jackson Dart versus the Jets defense, and not because there's any sort of quarterback competition, Russ's QB won, but for the first time in a long time, these two dudes gave Giants fans some sort of hope at the quarterback position.
00:29A combined 18-for-26 for $1.88 and a touchdown, and no INTs preseason week one.
00:36This Jets defense is going to dial up the pressure, so let's see if the moon ball and dart delivered can hold up against the Heat.
00:43Malik Neighbors versus Sauce Gardner.
00:46No disrespect to any of the Giants' DBs, but none of these dudes have been able to check Neighbors all training camp.
00:53He's in the league of his own.
00:54Now we get a chance to see him go up and go at it against one of the top corners in the league.
01:00The offensive line.
01:02Shout out to the O-line.
01:03The ones, twos, and threes all impressed in week one of the preseason.
01:0851 dropbacks and no sacks gave up.
01:11I'll say it again.
01:13The Giants' offensive line gave up zero sacks on 51 dropbacks.
01:18The Jets' D-line is built all around getting after the quarterback, and they got after the Packers' quarterbacks in their preseason win,
01:26so this is going to be a good week of work for the Giants' hog mollies.
01:30The Giants' pass rush versus the Jets' O-line and Justin Fields.
01:33The Jets have a solid offensive line and a quarterback that has the scramble ability that mimics the top two quarterbacks in the NFC East,
01:41and Jaden Daniels and Jalen Hurts.
01:43Two questions that I want answered.
01:46Can you get after Justin Fields, and can you keep him in the pocket?
01:50Last but not least, Taye Banks versus Garrett Wilson.
01:53Hey, Taye, you want to lock down that cornerback two job?
01:56Lock down Garrett Wilson a couple of times.
01:59It's as simple as that.
02:00Look, the Giants are off to what I would call their best start of training camp in the preseason in a long time,
02:06so there are still some things they're going to want to clean up,
02:09but they did put a lot on tape that they can build off of.
02:13So I think these are the five most important things that we need to keep an eye out on
02:17during the two joint practices in the game on Saturday.
