00:03There it was, the usually smug and synchronized duo of Morning Joe

00:07turning into an emotionally combustible mess faster than Joe Biden can forget a name.

00:12Nope, this time the drama was real and spectacular.

00:16Well, let's just say Mr. I used to be a Republican.

00:19Scarborough decided, out of nowhere, to channel his inner gladiator

00:23and swing at his wife's woke word salad right there in front of the cameras.

00:28Apparently, it was Mika doing what Mika does best,

00:31blaming everyone but the Democrats for the mess the country's in.

00:34She was on a tear, wailing about Republicans lying in the coarseness of political discourse,

00:40as if her own network hasn't been ground zero for hot takes,

00:43half-truths, and full-blown meltdowns for the last, oh, seven years.

00:47He pushed back.

00:49They're supposed to fight back, he practically yelled, looking one part exasperated,

00:53one part like he realized halfway through the rant that he was, in fact, contradicting his entire brand.

01:00And then came Mika's death stare, like she'd just been served gluten at brunch.

01:05And lie as well?

01:07Like what, exactly?

01:08She snapped, with the tone of someone about to start googling divorce lawyers.

01:13You've got to love the irony.

01:14It wasn't a heroic stand.

01:16It was messy, defensive, and loud.

01:19But boy, was it revealing.

01:21This was the mask slipping.

01:23Scarborough, of all people, realized that even on his best days,

01:27he can't polish the Dems' current dumpster fire into anything remotely electable.

01:32The economy's a mess, the border's a joke,

01:34and now we're shutting down the government to pay for illegal immigrants' health care?

01:38That's the winning strategy?

01:40Really?

01:41She looked like a deer caught in the headlights of reality.

01:44Because, let's face it,

01:46defending the indefensible is a full-time job at MSNBC,

01:49and Mika's been putting in overtime.

01:52Scarborough cracked.

01:53And right now, the Democrats are out of ideas,

01:56out of credibility,

01:57and, judging by this little episode,

01:59out of unity.

02:01For the rest of us,

02:02it's like watching the Titanic argue over who hit the iceberg while the ship sinks.

02:07Calling it a spirited debate doesn't hide the meltdown.

02:11The facade is falling apart.

02:13This isn't merely bad morning TV.

02:15If this is before 9 a.m.,

02:18imagine the chaos at MSNBC the rest of the day.

02:22The left is eating itself,

02:23on camera.
