00:12The Nissan Interstar may look familiar to many, and that's no coincidence.
00:18Nissan worked closely with Alliance partner Renault for the latest generation of the van, using the tried and tested Renault Master as its basis.
00:26Like the Master, the Interstar is available as both an electric and a diesel version and features a number of innovations and adjustments that make it interesting in the van world.
00:39Visually, the fourth generation of the Renault Master was unveiled at the end of 2023, and Nissan followed suit with the Interstar at the beginning of 2024.
00:49Externally, the Master and Interstar are almost identical, as was the case with the previous model.
00:54The Interstar impresses with an aerodynamically optimized body that promises a 20% reduction in air resistance.
01:04Nissan achieves this optimization with a shorter bonnet, a flatter windshield, and aerodynamically designed exterior mirrors and air intakes.

02:46There is a 2-liter diesel with an output of 105 horsepower, 130 horsepower, 150 horsepower and a particularly powerful version with 170 horsepower.
02:57While the models with 105 and 130 horsepower are offered with a manual transmission, the versions with 150 and 170 horsepower are optionally available with a comfortable new stage automatic transmission.
03:12The diesel versions have a higher payload of almost 2 tons compared to the 1.5 tons that the electric version can transport.
03:23The permissible total weight of the electric version is 4 tons and both drive types can tow a maximum trailer load of 2.5 tons.
03:30Inside the Nissan Interstar, the driver and front passenger can find a three-seater cockpit that is durable and functionally designed.
03:42Heated seats and a heated windscreen provide additional comfort in cold weather, and the infotainment system has been revised compared to its predecessor.

03:53The Interstar is equipped with numerous assistance systems, including emergency braking assistant, a fatigue warning system, a tire pressure monitoring system, and a trailer stabilization system, all of which help to guide the vehicle safely through traffic.
04:09The market launch of the new Nissan Interstar is scheduled for November 2024 and there are several engine and equipment options.
04:21The starting price for the basic diesel version with 105 horsepower is €34,250 excluding VAT.
04:28The version with 130 horsepower costs €1,000 more, and the diesel with 150 horsepower starts at €39,350.
04:38The most powerful diesel variant with 170 horsepower costs at least €40,350.
04:44Anyone interested in the electric version can expect to pay from €53,380 excluding tax.
04:51Compared to the Renault, the Nissan Interstar is somewhat more expensive in almost all variants.
04:56Only the basic version with 105 horsepower is €140 cheaper than the corresponding model from Renault.
05:03However, the price difference is reflected in the warranty.
05:07While Renault offers a two-year warranty with no mileage limit, Nissan offers a more generous five-year warranty that covers up to 160,000 kilometers and should be particularly attractive to frequent drivers.
