00:00Welcome to the video from the Car Magazine Tuning Blog.
00:05Today we're talking about the new Nissan Micra 2025,
00:08which was developed as an electric compact car based on the Renault 5
00:12and yet shows more independence than many would initially assume.
00:17With the Micra, Nissan is heralding an electric model offensive in Europe.
00:21The new Micra, now in its 6th generation, will be launched at the end of 2025
00:31and is based on the RAR small platform, which is also the basis for the Renault 5.
00:36Although the technical basis is the same and the body proportions are identical at a length of 4.0 meters,
00:41a width of 1.8 meters and a height of 1.5 meters, the design shows clear differences.
00:51Responsible for this is Nissan's European Design Studio in London,
00:56which has given the Micra its own unique appearance.
01:01The round daytime running lights, which are integrated into the LED headlights
01:05and give the vehicle a friendly face, are striking.
01:10The body features soft, rounded shapes that extend over the wheel arches, for example.
01:16A notch is inspired by the trace of a spoon in ice cream.
01:19Extends from the headlights to the rear doors.
01:25The rear door handles are hidden in the C-pillars,
01:28while round LED lights with painted surfaces at the rear echoed the lighting design of the front.
01:36The Micra comes standard with 18-inch wheels,
01:39with the basic version featuring plastic covers on steel wheels,
01:42while higher-end models offer alloy wheels.
01:45Black trim elements on the sills, bumpers and sills visually conceal the height of the vehicle floor
01:53and thus the installation position of the battery.
01:58Inside, the Micra offers similar space to the Renault 5.
02:01The boot holds 326L, although according to VDA measurements, 276L are available.
02:07The high-loading sill makes loading difficult and the back seat is cramped in terms of knee and headroom,
02:15especially for taller people.
02:17In contrast, the seats in the front are comfortable.
02:23There are various options for materials,
02:25from grey fabric upholstery to a combination of imitation leather and textile in the top version.
02:30The color scheme looks modern and clearly distinguishes itself from the retro look of the Renault.
02:39Depending on the equipment, up to 48 colors can be selected for the ambient lighting,
02:44and the top model features a Harman Kardon sound system.
02:48The cockpit adopts many elements from the Renault 5.
02:52A digital instrument display, 7 or 10 inches, depending on the equipment,
02:56is supplemented by a touch screen that is angled slightly towards the driver
02:59and controls the infotainment system.
03:04The Micra once again uses Google's Android Automotive with Google Maps,
03:08Assistant and Play Store, supplemented by Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
03:14The air conditioning is controlled via well-positioned toggle switches.
03:19The steering wheel is largely the same as that of the Renault 5,
03:22as is the operating logic for assistance systems and driving modes,
03:25which are controlled via glossy black fields.
03:29Things get confusing to the right of the steering wheel.
03:32Here, the controls for volume, radio stations, wipers and gear selector are located close together.
03:39There will be two drivetrain variants.
03:43The entry-level version has an electric motor with 122 horsepower,
03:48powered by a battery with a capacity of 40 kilowatts.
03:51The range is around 310 kilometers according to WLTP-N.
03:58Charging is done with 11 kilowatts alternating current over three phases
04:02or with up to 80 kilowatts on a fast charger,
04:05which increases the battery level from 15 to 80 percent in around half an hour.
04:08The more powerful version delivers 150 horsepower and is powered by a 52 kilowatt-hour battery.
04:17In comfort and sport driving modes, the engine delivers a torque of 245 newton-meters.
04:23In eco mode, it is reduced to 50 kilowatts and 215 newton-meters.
04:28Here too, the maximum charging power via CCS is 100 kilowatts.
04:34However, due to the higher capacity,
04:36the charging process from 15 to 80 percent also takes around 30 minutes.
04:41The top speed of both models is limited to 150 kilometers per hour.
04:46The micro allows single-pedal driving,
04:50with recuperation being controlled in three stages using shift paddles on the steering wheel.
04:56The strongest stage allows deceleration to a standstill, ideal for city traffic.
05:03A standard heat pump ensures stable ranges in winter.
05:07There is also a so-called vehicle-to-load function,
05:10which can be used to supply external devices with power from the drive battery.
05:14An adapter will be available as an accessory.
05:19The micro will be built in France.
05:22Nissan has not yet announced prices.
05:25However, a forecast can be made based on the Renault 5.
05:29The Renault currently starts at around 28,000 euros with a battery capacity of 40 hours.
05:36A cheaper basic version is expected to cost around 25,000 euros.
05:40The version with a larger battery and 150 horsepower is available in the Tecno equipment line from around 33,000 euros.
05:50The pricing of the Nissan Micra is also likely to be similar.
05:53As always, you can find the link to read the article in the video description.

08:01New Micro makes that connection as seamless and stress-free as possible.

08:41And the Harman Kardon audio system is for those in-car karaoke moments.
