00:00Welcome to the video from the Auto Magazine Tuning Blog about the new Renault Megane Etch Electric.
00:09Renault is launching a revised version of its compact electric vehicle, adding a new trim level and technical improvements to the range.
00:18In addition to the familiar techno and iconic variants, the sportily inspired spread alpine version is now also available.
00:25This is visually based on the Alpine Performance brand and stands out thanks to exclusive design elements.
00:35Particularly striking are the Dolomite Gray paintwork, 20-inch alloy wheels, and dark brand logos.
00:41The interior features contoured seats with blue decorative stitching and upholstery made from recycled material.
00:48An emblem in the colors of the French national flag references the brand's origins.
00:53Technically, the update brings with it a number of innovations.
00:58For the first time, the Renault Megane Etch Electric offers one-pedal driving.
01:03This allows the vehicle to accelerate and decelerate using the accelerator pedal alone, without having to use the brake pedal.
01:11This function ensures more efficient energy recovery and reduces brake wear.
01:17This should make for a smoother driving experience, especially in city traffic.
01:23The function can be retrofitted to vehicles produced from March 2024 onwards.
01:29In addition, every new model will receive a bi-directional 11 kW charger.
01:35This not only allows the vehicle to be charged, but also allows the battery to be used as an external power source, for example for an electric scooter or a coffee machine.
01:44Another new feature is plug-in charge technology.
01:49At compatible rapid charging stations, charging starts automatically as soon as the vehicle is plugged in.
01:56Additional authorization via an app or charging card is not required.
02:00Billing is handled directly via the MyRenault app.
02:02The range of the Renault Megane Etch Electric varies depending on the battery size and is a maximum of 461 km according to the WLTP standard.
02:13The model will be produced at the Renault Electric car factory in due.
02:18Prices for the revised version start at around €40,900.
02:21As always, you can find the link to read the article in our magazine in the video description.
