We ask Londoners what they think.

00:00I think that starts to help immigration, if that's what you want to do.
00:05But it's just, it's like a needle in the haystack, really.
00:09I mean, I don't know how they're going to enforce it.
00:11We've got a government at the moment who like to introduce new rules and new laws.
00:15They never renounce how it's going to be done.
00:17And that's another one of those.
00:19So nice try. Can't see it working.
00:23No, not at all.
00:24I think that the idea that somehow we need to have this massive camp down on migration is nothing but, again,
00:32bolstered by far-right rhetoric that doesn't have a place in a modern British society that is built upon multiculturalism.
00:39Modern London, modern Britain is built upon migrants from the Commonwealth and from what was the empire.
00:44So I don't see any purpose in trying to bottleneck the flow of migration,
00:49especially considering that we in Britain have a declining birth rate.
00:52So I don't see the point in trying to stop this when it will inevitably lead to massive repercussions later on for the economy and for the population.
