Sir Chris Bryant, Business minister, says that the government is working "to make sure that no individuals details have been compromised" after reports that Chinese hackers have accessed confidential documents and data from the Foreign Office. The government minister says that "we are fairly confident that there is a low risk of that". Report by Ketchs. 00:00I want to be very careful what I say about the hack. There certainly has been a hack on the FCDO site and we have been investigating.
00:09As you will know from a series of different attacks that we've had over the last year, whether on Jaguar, Land Rover, Marks and Spencers, the British Library and others,
00:19this is a really important issue that lots of people, lots of industry and government sites need to be very careful about.
00:27I can't confirm whether it's specific to China. We are working with the Information Commissioner to make sure that no individual's details have been compromised.
00:38We're fairly confident that there is a low risk of that.
