00:10I saw a few bones in the pay pal.
00:13Ata a mammoth tusk?
00:17Rib bone, I think.
00:20Right? Rib bone?
00:24I don't know.
00:30Yeah, so things are going really well so far.
00:34You know, we're, like, coming out of the gate, moving.
00:38And we're over 2,000 ounces,
00:40but I'm waiting for something to go massively wrong
00:43because things don't go this smoothly for very long.
00:46Six weeks into the season,
00:4830-year-old Parker Schnabel's plan
00:51to mine more than $35 million in gold
00:55is right on schedule.
00:57Tyson is being an animal this year.
01:00He's done over 1,500 ounces already here on Dominion.
01:03And then Mitch is doing a really good job over at Sulphur.
01:06Sulphur had over a 350-ounce cleanup last week,
01:10so that's crazy.
01:13Parker's plan includes squeezing every ounce he can
01:17out of his Sulphur Creek claim,
01:19where foreman Mitch Blaschke
01:21has been hunting for gold-rich pockets
01:23the old-timers missed.
01:26You know, it's been full throttle
01:28since the beginning of the season here at Sulphur,
01:30trying to get all the work done
01:31before the water license expires.
01:32Just want to make sure that we get what's ours
01:34and don't leave anything behind.
01:36Mitch is down to just three weeks to get it all done.
01:42Making the job harder,
01:44his top dirt mover, Brennan Ruhle,
01:47was recently sent to open ground
01:49at their next claim.
01:51Right now we're threading a bunch of needles
01:53with Brennan trying to have the Indian River ready,
01:55Mitch trying to have Sulphur done
01:57before the water license expires.
01:58We need to get the whole project done,
02:00reclaimed, and be out.
02:02How's it going?
02:13Good.
02:14How are you?
02:15Doing well.
02:16Yeah.
02:17Nice to be getting to the close of this one.
02:18We can start the next project.
02:19Yeah.
02:21Holy, that's a hole.
02:23Wow.
02:24Very muddy hole.
02:32Nobody's done any panning in here, I'm guessing,
02:36not on this upper section.
02:38We were trying to get it out as fast as we could,
02:40get her to the plant, and...
02:41Right.
02:42Well, I'll pan some of this just out of curiosity.
02:49All right, well, let's see what we've got.
03:02Holy smokes!
03:16That's a hell of a pan.
03:17Must be a hundred pieces of gold in there.
03:19Wow.
03:20Yeah.
03:21That's pretty wild.
03:23What do you think?
03:25It's worth staying here a little longer
03:27and getting that last little bit of pay.
03:29There's gold there, and that's what we're here for.
03:31But we've got a lot of sluicing to do already this year, so...
03:34There's a lot of sluicing to do.
03:35It always turns into a lot bigger project
03:37than we think, doesn't it?
03:40I want to stand up there and look at it.
03:50How far does that go?
03:51Straight to this tree right here.
03:53That's probably where I would go to.
03:55You know, it's going to be tight.
03:56You could just have, like, Brennan come over here.
03:58That's the best chance that you've got
03:59at getting the pay down here in time
04:00and getting it ran.
04:01That'd be sweet.
04:02All right, I'll keep you updated.
04:03Over the last six weeks,
04:04Mitch has dug out all the pay pockets
04:05of the two-acre cut
04:06and is sluicing the last of its stockpiled pay.
04:19But Parker believes the old-timer's dredge
04:22missed even more gold
04:25and thinks the pay streak extends up to the road.
04:29He wants Mitch to expand the cut
04:32by another two acres
04:34and sluice all of its pay
04:36before the water license runs out.
04:41If Parker's move pays off,
04:43he could bank another 500 ounces
04:46worth $1.75 million.
04:50Just when we thought sulfur here
04:52was coming to a close in typical Parker fashion,
04:55now he's saying, you know,
04:57hey, I want even more dirt out of there.
04:59We're pushing this project
05:00all the way to its absolute limit.
05:02So I'm just hoping we can get
05:03everything done here in sluice,
05:04but it's just messing with our timeline.
05:14Further!
05:15All right, the cavalry's here.
05:17We can certainly use the help.
05:19Whoo!
05:21We're here, happy to help, man.
05:23To give Mitch a fighting chance,
05:28Parker has sent in the big guns.
05:31So we've got five trucks,
05:32two excavators,
05:33and the loader feeding the plant.
05:36We're on a hot streak right now.
05:38Let's stay with it,
05:39finish it off,
05:40and get every speck of gold
05:42we can get out of here.
05:44You know, everything up here
05:45is risk over reward,
05:47and right now the risk is
05:49we got ourselves a lot of dirt to move here,
05:51not much time,
05:52but Parker thinks it's worth the reward.
06:07First gold way of the year,
06:09you're always hoping for a good one, right?
06:11It can set, you know,
06:12kind of set the pace for the rest of the year.
06:14We had the opposite of that.
06:16A hundred miles away,
06:18Rick Ness is still trying to recover
06:20from a major setback
06:22after failing to obtain the water license needed
06:26to mine his gold-rich Duncan Creek claim.
06:30The diamond cut on his new claim at Lightning Creek
06:34delivered just seven ounces.
06:36We're always in a race against time,
06:38but, you know,
06:39we start having gold ways like that,
06:41it just becomes even more and more serious,
06:42you know.
06:43There's no way we can make money off of that,
06:44but that doesn't mean that we can just,
06:45you know, call it quits here.
06:46Rick now finds himself in deep water.
06:49He's had to shut down wash plant Rocky,
06:52but has just one week to pay landowner Troy Taylor
06:56100 ounces to complete his purchase of Lightning Creek.
07:01We got to move on.
07:02We got to strip some new ground.
07:03We've already started that.
07:04We've moved up the valley.
07:05We just got to pivot and pivot quick.
07:07We're late to the game this season,
07:11so we had to come into this location.
07:14It's definitely not as good ground as Vegas Valley.
07:17Hopefully we can get gold out of here
07:19to at least pay the bills.
07:20Everyone's getting pretty beat down.
07:24When you see low numbers and no gold coming in,
07:27it doesn't feel too good.
07:29It's definitely getting a little stressful,
07:32being a little behind the gun here.
07:34So we're going to shift over here and change the odds.
07:38Hopefully start running some pay dirt soon.
07:41This is definitely the beginning of working our way
07:44up the valley for sure.
07:46You know, we need as much uncovered as we can,
07:48but pretty much it's just going to be trial and error.
07:51We want to make sure that, you know,
07:53this is going to be good pay, not garbage.
07:55Rick's going to come down and figure out
07:57what he wants me to do moving forward.
08:04Look at this.
08:07What you thinking, Bailey?
08:09It's like the bedrock's right there,
08:11and then it goes to sand.
08:13Obviously you don't want sand, but...
08:16Interesting.
08:19There's no telling what this bedrock might do.
08:21You're probably just going to have to follow it.
08:23Yes.
08:24Some of that along the banks looks like pay.
08:27Okay.
08:28But there's a spot right there where the bigger rocks.
08:30Look at that big rock right there.
08:33That's what we want to see.
08:35Nice.
08:36Do you want that top, gravelly stuff?
08:39I think so.
08:41Yeah, I would say that's the stuff we run.
08:44Bigger rocks should mean bigger deposits of gold.
08:48Over 150,000 years ago, a giant glacier eroded
08:54and picked up gold from the Mount Hinton motherlode.
08:57A massive ice sheet bulldozed down the valley,
09:01tearing up the landscape.
09:03When the ice melted, the gold settled in scattered pockets
09:08with the heavy rocks and boulders.
09:10I like it.
09:11Get the plant running.
09:12Just start hauling it up to the plant.
09:13That'd be great.
09:14Yeah.
09:15You can call this the boulder cut.
09:17Cool.
09:18Hopefully it's got gold in it.
09:19Okay.
09:20Thanks, man.
09:21Yep.
09:22Bailey's getting on it right here.
09:24You know, they're doing a good job of getting this stripped off,
09:26and there's a lot more bigger boulders and stuff in that ground.
09:29It just looks more promising, so I've got a good feeling about that.
09:35We're all pretty excited to run this stuff.
09:37We'll get this fired up, and we'll start pounding dirt through it.
09:40Well, right now we're hauling pay to the plant.
09:53This pay layer definitely looks, you know, a lot better than the diamond cut.
09:58You know, there is big rocks in here, and I'm hoping it's going to be really good.
10:03Something's going on with the bucket.
10:17I just not feeling proper.
10:19It doesn't have any strength trying to curl right now.
10:24Hey, Ryan.
10:25You got a copy, man?
10:26Go ahead, Bailey.
10:27Yeah, something's wrong with the 750 for sure.
10:28Okay.
10:29All right, man.
10:30Give me just a minute, and I'll be over.
10:31Hopefully, Ryan can get down here and figure out what's going on,
10:34because this is our main machine.
10:36That's the only thing that we got down here that can load rock trucks quick enough,
10:39so right now we're on a standstill.
10:54We got issued with the 750 right now.
10:57I've probably got a couple more hours worth of pay here,
11:00because there's no pay at this plant.
11:02There's no gold in the box, so it's pretty crucial to have that thing back up and running.
11:07At Lightning Creek, the Nescrew 750 excavator has gone down, preventing them from digging pay dirt
11:15from the new boulder cut.
11:17I'd zip that plate off.
11:20Let's make as much room as we can.
11:21I'll get in there and I'll crack it open.
11:28All right.
11:30Where is she at?
11:34All righty.
11:36Okay.
11:37We've got a pilot hose over here that comes from the back main pump
11:41and goes all the way up just underneath the cab that's chafing pretty bad.
11:45The 750 excavator's bucket moves forward when hydraulic fluid is pumped through a hose
11:52into a cylinder with a piston at 5,000 pounds per square inch.
11:56The bucket is then forced to retract when the cylinder is injected with hydraulic fluid by a second hose.
12:06Ryan has discovered this hose has a leak in the body of the excavator near the pump.
12:12He plans to disconnect the hose and remove it, then replace it with a new one,
12:24restoring the hydraulic system's full pressure, allowing the bucket to once again
12:30haul six yards of boulder pay dirt with each scoop.
12:42Right here?
12:43Yeah, go ahead.
12:44Oh, yeah, you're good.
12:48Look at this.
12:49Yeah, right there.
12:51So this will get us going, get us back in the pay and keep things rolling.
12:58All right, I got it all zip tied up.
13:00Going to get our bottom plates on, get our top plate mounted back and Bailey will be back at it.
13:05Oh, baby.
13:06All right, bottom side's good.
13:07There you go.
13:08Perfect.
13:10Hey, Bailey, the 750's fixed.
13:11Thanks, Ryan.
13:13We've got the 750 up and running again, which is awesome.
13:14We've got three trucks.
13:15We've got to hurry up here and get that pay to the plant.
13:20I really need this to work out. We all need this to work out. This is our spot for the summer, and we need to get start getting some mold out of it.
13:27I'm not going to sleep well until I get a whole run out of this ground, and if it doesn't start showing up to the ground, then we need to get some mold out of it.

16:24î
16:53You know Tony's train of thought, right?
16:56The Indian is the only thing that's producing right now.
16:59So that's what he wants to focus on.
17:03It's a little bit worrisome that he takes your equipment.
17:07Why can't I start taking *** back?
17:09That would go over really well.
17:11You and I both know that.
17:12So that's not going to happen.
17:14So what are you going to do now?
17:15Do you have a plan B?
17:18We have Harold.
17:19A nice plant to send down in Hester.
17:21It's basically stupid proof.
17:23Just got to fuse some pipe.
17:25Hook it up to the pump.
17:25Test the pump.
17:27And then I just got to get an excavator and a loader down there and I could be sleuzzing.
17:30That's great.
17:33How would you feel to just have your own claim?
17:36Just your stuff.
17:38No interference with your father?
17:39Like Kevin?
17:41I would like it.
17:42It would be fun.
17:43You think that's going to happen?
17:44*** no.
17:45He's too busy out there.
17:48Want to have a little wager?
17:51Ten bucks I say it will.
17:53We can also say 20 bucks.
17:56You're scared?
17:5820 bucks.
18:03With that being said, I do think you have to go back to work.
18:06I'll see you later.
18:07Mike got a little bit of a rough end of the deal here because he doesn't have all the people
18:15and all the equipment, but it's just the way Tony is.
18:19He focuses on what's right in front of him, not what's 60 miles down the road.
18:27Mike plans to use what little equipment Tony left behind to make a quick score by sleuzzing
18:34a pile of old timer tailings that he believes are rich in gold, but first he has to connect
18:42with the water supply to wash plant Harold.
18:44So I'm going to be testing out our new fusing machine here without no water.
18:49You ain't sluice *** at all.
18:53If Mike can fit through, the pipe will fit.
18:57Spread your wings and fly, Mike.
18:59It works!
19:09Right now we lift up the pipe so I can line it up.
19:14My way.
19:16Stop!
19:17I just lined them up.
19:18I'm tightening them up now.
19:19I'm waiting for the heating pad to warm up.
19:22Put it in there?
19:23Yep.
19:24Okay.
19:24That melts the pipe, so that when I push it together, it fuses.
19:29Get ready.
19:32There we go.
19:37It's working.
19:44I heard thunder.
19:46Pull the tongue, bring it over here.
19:50Now it's raining pretty good.
19:52Hold it up.
19:53Try to cover it so it doesn't get pissed on rain.
19:56If rain gets into the melted junction, air bubbles will form, and the fuse will burst under high water pressure.
20:09If we don't get this fuse together, I ain't getting no water to Harold.
20:20Yeah, that's going to be good.
20:21The rain seems to be stopping.
20:24You guys can take it off.
20:26Before Mike can test if the fuses will hold, he needs to connect the pipe to the pump across the creek.
20:36Lift it up in the air.
20:41Yeah, looking good.
20:45Excellent.
20:45That's good, Zach.
20:47Pull it in.
20:48Cut.
20:54Next step is to put the suction in.
20:57Chain this up.
20:58Try not to get hit in the face with a bucket, because it's not on my bucket list of to do.
21:02Pipes are all hooked up, fused together.
21:16All I have to do is test fire the pump, make sure everything's working good.
21:20Enough water, that's good.
21:40That's lovely.
21:41I love it.
21:43I'm firing up.
21:44Everything's working.
21:54First scoop into Harold.
21:56Here we go.
21:56For the first time this season, Mike is on the goal.
22:09Nice to finally get this thing going.
22:11Got it there.
22:11Man, it was brutal.
22:34There's no way we would have made this happen without the trucks and the extra help up here.
22:40But we are finally down to pay.
22:42And we're going to load that in the trucks and haul it down to Roxanne.
22:46At Sulphur Creek, Mitch Blaschke has hit pay in the first section of the new two-acre extension.
22:53Now, his crew is in a race to sluice it all before the water license runs out in less than three weeks.
23:02Holy s**t.
23:06Loader operator Sean Holcroft is feeding the new pay through wash plant Roxanne.
23:13Parker, he's got some deadlines going, so we really got to bust our balls here and get moving.
23:18I got this little 220 loader.
23:21This thing's a little ancient.
23:22Still able to wash rocks with the plant, but she's a bit of a rough ride.
23:26I have my second year down here now.
23:28A big step up for me.
23:29A little bit more responsibilities.
23:31They're letting me do a lot more.
23:32It's pretty awesome to have this opportunity.
23:34I really love it.
23:41I don't know what the s**t is going on with this thing.
23:46Looks like we've got the brakes locking up.
23:48Let's take half loader.
23:53Oh my s**t.
23:56It's f**king painful, man.
24:00Getting a low hydraulic oil port in here.
24:06Okay, Mitch.
24:08This 220 here, it's f**king up real bad.
24:12I guess they got no power.
24:13Barely making it up this ramp.
24:15There's no way I'm going to be able to keep up with this,
24:17even at 100 yards an hour.
24:18This is not what we need right now.
24:26Unfortunately, with 220 being down right now,
24:29we're going to shut Roxanne down.
24:31Shutting down Roxanne could mean losing over $8,000 an hour.
24:37Parker has all these ambitions and things he wants us to do this season,
24:41but we got one old loader out here, and right now we're not sleucing.
24:45To fix the loader, Mitch calls in mechanic Taylor Matika.
24:51I've got an alarm for low hydraulic oil.
24:56You can see there's nothing on the sight glass.
24:59With the machine running, the transmission oil was way high.
25:04It should be at the bottom of the sight glass here.
25:07We're way over full.
25:08So what caused this is the parking brake.
25:11And it's got a piston inside with seals that release the parking brake.
25:15These seals have failed, and the parking brake is dragging,
25:18and it's filling the transmission with hydraulic oil.
25:24I'm just going to pull the drain plug on the transmission here,
25:27and we'll let her buy.
25:31There it goes.
25:34Hopefully it's just the seals,
25:35but if a piece of **** got between the piston and the housing,
25:39we might have a **** piston,
25:41and that's going to be a huge problem.
25:44The 220 loader's parking brake is spring-loaded
25:48and controlled by hydraulic pressure.
25:51To access the brake, Taylor refers to Cajun
25:55by using three bolts that compress the springs,
25:58releasing the brake,
25:59and securing the piston to the brake cover.
26:03He will then remove the 16 bolts that hold the cover in place
26:07and lift off the caged parking brake piston.
26:11Taylor can then remove and replace the damaged seals
26:14before reinstalling the brake,
26:17uncaging the springs,
26:19and refilling the hydraulic oil,
26:21allowing the parking brake to function properly.
26:25We're just buzzing the parking brake out here.
26:28We've got it caged with these three bolts.
26:33There we go.
26:34We'll take it out, put it on the back of my truck.
26:36Hopefully this thing is not ****
26:38because we can't afford a downloader.
26:42You can see here,
26:43there's no real damage to the piston,
26:45but the parking brake seal is completely ****ed.
26:47We need to replace it.
26:50Sean was right to give me a shout right away.
26:52We'll swap the seals out
26:53and put this thing back together.
26:56Let's get started.
26:58We'll peel these seals off.
27:02We're at the assembly stage now,
27:04just putting these seals in.
27:06Hey, Taylor, you got a copy, Taylor?
27:08Yeah, go ahead.
27:09How's it going over there, man?
27:11We're putting new seals in the parking brake right now.
27:13Thank God it was just the seals,
27:15and we had them in stock.
27:15Give us about an hour and a half, two hours,
27:18and this thing will be up and running.
27:19All right, man.
27:20We'll be ready for it.
27:22Mitch is chomping at the bit
27:23to get this thing up and running,
27:24and it's just, you know, race against time
27:25to get this thing back together.
27:29It's all good.
27:41Fill it with transmission oil.
27:42We can be back to making money.
27:44Transmissions full.
27:49Parking brakes reassembled, resealed.
27:51Everything's hooked up.
27:54Lay down.
27:56Good boy.
28:06We're going to take it down to Sean
28:08so they can go fire up Roxanne.
28:09Oh, f*** yeah, buddy.
28:18Thanks, man.
28:19Five hours after shutting down
28:20and $40,000 of gold production lost,
28:25Roxanne is back in the game.
28:28Washing rocks.
28:29Roxanne's shaking.
28:31Getting that gold.
28:33We got Roxanne on a good clip here.
28:36It's sluicing along very nicely.
28:38We're pushing this project here at Sulphur
28:40all the way to its absolute limit.
28:42We're getting through it,
28:44but we're not out of the woods yet.
28:46We understand we're not mining Vegas Valley.
28:50We understand we're not mining Vegas Valley.
29:15It's different.
29:16It's up for us to prove that there is something here.
29:19It's going to be nonstop.
29:20It's not going to be an easy season.
29:24I think this will be our toughest season with Rick.
29:27Rick's crew is sluicing pay dirt
29:29from the new boulder cut,
29:31which they hope will finally deliver some gold.
29:35We're going to probably work our way up this valley
29:37probably all season.
29:38Hopefully, you know, the farther we go
29:40or the more that we run,
29:41the better it looks.
29:44Guys, I need you all to come meet me at the lead out here.
29:49I want all of you there.
29:50What's going on?
30:16I got some news.
30:17What's going on?
30:39I got some news.
30:42We got a water license at Lower Duncan.
30:45Really?
30:45Yes.
30:47Yeah.
30:48Yeah.
30:48That's actually really good news.
30:50Got something for you guys.
30:59Yeah.
31:02Yeah.
31:02We got the news today from the attorney.
31:09They granted an extension until November 2025.
31:11We can go break ground, Vegas Valley, start draining it.
31:13We can get gold from Vegas Valley this year.
31:16Was that a verified email?
31:17A verified email, yes.
31:18Okay, good.
31:18Yeah.
31:19Yes.
31:19Yes.
31:19Yeah.
31:20We 100% have a water license,
31:23a land use permit,
31:24and everything at Lower Duncan.
31:25In just four years, Rick's claim on Lower Duncan paid out nearly 6,000 ounces.
31:32But after losing the water license, he had to abandon it, including a pay pile that could contain more than $1.4 million in gold.
31:43We've already got a pile up there ready to run, and, you know, we can actually run that now.
31:49So what does that mean for this deal?
31:52Well, that's a good point because we can't just walk away from this.
31:55I promised Troy another 100 ounces to buy Lightning Creek.
31:57I'm not just going to pull 100 ounces out of here and give it to Troy and walk the f*** away.
32:02You know, we've got to pull some serious gold out of here.
32:04But this is really good news.
32:06I don't even think you've seen the best out of Vegas Valley yet.
32:09No, and I'm hoping we haven't seen the best out of this.
32:11Yeah.
32:11You know, I think our future is really f***ing bright.
32:13I've got a lot to figure out, but we've got a water license, and we are going back to Vegas Valley.
32:18This is cause for celebration.
32:19F*** yeah.
32:20F*** yeah, guys.
32:21All right.
32:22You know, in my head right now, I'm very happy.
32:29There's a lot going on right now.
32:30It's like one extreme to the other, right?
32:32We had no water license.
32:33Now we've got a water license in two spots, you know.
32:36I want to just run to Vegas Valley.
32:37I know the gold's there, but I've got obligations on Lightning Creek.
32:39You know, I owe Troy 100 ounces.
32:41You know, that's a quarter million dollars.
32:42So there's a lot to figure out, but at the end of the day, this is good news.
32:52At Paradise Hill, despite a lack of equipment, Mike is determined to prove to his dad that
33:14he can bring in the gold.
33:16Just careful not to overload it.
33:20It's nice to get this going.
33:21It's exactly what I wanted.
33:23Closer and closer every time.
33:27Oh, f***.
33:28We got a gasket blown out on this pump.
33:31Shut it down.
33:33F***.
33:35Close the bypass.
33:45F***.
33:47I'm going to be a pain in the ass.
33:48You know, but that's got to get f***ing fixed before we can keep going.
33:53I'm going to lift this up.
33:55Take these off so I can get this little orange piece here.
33:57And I can check the rubber.
34:03If you hop in the excavator, I'll wrap it around and we'll just lift it.
34:06Yeah, because these are coming off like butter.
34:22My gasket's ripped completely.
34:23Yeah, she ripped right apart.
34:27My only two rubbers I got.
34:29Too small or weave it too big.
34:35We can make that work, though.
34:36You know what I mean?
34:38Cut holes.
34:40We're going to have to f*** around with this.
34:41What we're going to do is mark out all the holes,
34:48and then we'll just push the bolt holes through.
34:57Then I'm going to cut,
34:59and yeah, the bolt will fit through it.
35:03Yeah, there should be 12.
35:07It's a little scabby, but it'll work.
35:09For the bush-fix gasket to work,
35:12it must form a tight seal
35:14between the two metal flanges.
35:17A little bit more of my weight.
35:18There we go.
35:20If we do this and it works,
35:21it should last until forever.
35:29Hey, that's my butt.
35:33Let her down.
35:39That's tight.
35:42This should all work.
35:43Hey, I'm going to hop in the water.
36:05Let's get going.
36:06Finally, uh, getting this done.
36:10But now we'll be happy to get any gold.
36:12So I'm going to grab every ounce of gold I can out of that dirt.
36:15Between me and Colby,
36:16we should be able to get this thing going.
36:18This will be running for the rest of the season.
36:20Mike Beetz may be dreaming of his own Klondike kingdom,
36:34but there is already a crown he wears proud.
36:39According to everyone,
36:40I'm a king of around,
36:41so there should be nothing new.
36:45Go chase the beaver.
36:46You make me f***ing good.
36:53Do you guys leave you guys alone for what?
36:55Two minutes,
36:56and then you're f***ing around again?
36:57Let's go.
36:59Nah, let's f***ing around.
37:00Oh, yeah.
37:19Nice glasses.
37:21Thanks, man.
37:22How are you?
37:23No fire?
37:24No.
37:24It's too hot for that.
37:25It's hot.
37:26Summer finally got here.
37:27Yeah, it came fast.
37:28It was a smart move to pivot from a diamond cut.
37:31There's no way we can make a living off it,
37:33and, you know,
37:34I like the spot that we moved to.
37:36It's definitely looking better.
37:38In every way, there's boulders there.
37:40Yeah.
37:40It is nicer material compared to that stuff
37:42that we just dug at the start of the diamond cut.
37:45So we're on the right track.
37:47Yeah.
37:47Well, I guess maybe we should weigh up the gold.
37:50Rick's previous spot,
37:52the diamond cut,
37:53produced just 7.35 ounces.
37:56Now, he's hoping the new boulder cut
38:00will deliver at least 30 ounces for its run time.
38:04All right, count it out.
38:051, 2, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10, 12,
38:1418, 20, 22,
38:1922.35.
38:24Worth $78,000.
38:28Definitely an improvement.
38:30We got to look at it that way.
38:32Three times better.
38:33I mean, obviously,
38:36that water license coming in is huge,
38:38but a lot of decisions come with that, you know.
38:41There's a lot of pieces that have to fall in,
38:42you know, fall into place.
38:44What's going through your head?
38:45Tough it out here?
38:47I mean,
38:47we're going to have to go back to Vegas Valley.
38:49I mean,
38:50I want to.
38:52And maybe at the end of the day,
38:53this is just not the happening spot right here.
38:58We can't abandon this place.
38:59I did buy it,
39:00but the one thing that I can say is that we can't afford to just shut this down while we're, you know.
39:05We got to take advantage of all the sluicing hours we can get.
39:07How many gold ways do we say there can be improvement before we finally say we need to get our asses back to Vegas Valley?
39:13At the end of the day,
39:14I owe Troy, you know, 100 ounces on this ground,
39:17so we can't just walk away from it right now.
39:19It's the only spot we're getting gold from.
39:20Does he care where the 100 ounces comes from?
39:22Because I'm telling you now,
39:23you're going to get 100 ounces a lot quicker.
39:25You do the math,
39:26it doesn't make sense to hit 1,800 ounces by the end of the season.
39:28You know,
39:29it's going to take a while to get Vegas Valley ready,
39:31so the minute we're able to sluice down there,
39:32we will go there.
39:33That's a promise.
39:34I think we should go there now.
39:36Well,
39:36that's too bad.
39:38I think there's gold here.
39:42I hope you're right.
39:43Definitely the pressure's going to be on, man.
39:44Thanks, guys.
39:50I appreciate it.
39:51Yeah,
39:51this gold way was better than last week,
39:53but it's not as good as what lower Duncan could be.
39:56There could be 400 ounces in that pay pile,
39:58so, you know,
39:59for us to try to reach 1,800 ounces,
40:01we need to be down there right away.
40:03Well,
40:04the gold total for the week,
40:0522.3 ounces,
40:06yeah,
40:06three times as good,
40:07but the exciting thing is we got the water license extension
40:09back on Duncan Creek,
40:10so we go back to Vegas Valley,
40:11which is huge news.
40:13Now,
40:13everybody's just arguing on wet,
40:14and they want to go there immediately,
40:16but the timing's just not right,
40:17you know,
40:17it's going to take a few days to get that ready,
40:19and I'm not willing to stop getting gold
40:20from Lightning Creek until it is ready,
40:22so we're going to stick it out here,
40:24and we'll be back in Vegas Valley soon.
40:36Hello.
40:36Hey, guys.
40:37Hey, guys.
40:37How are you?
40:38Here.
40:38How are you?
40:39Good.
40:40Yes.
40:40Good, good, good.
40:43Have a seat.
40:44I've been here pretty much all week,
40:48sluicing away on the early bird cut there,
40:50doing very well, actually, I think.
40:53Busy stripping,
40:54corner cut,
40:55so we've been going actually quite well.
40:57How about you guys?
40:59Yeah, I set up Harold.
41:01Yeah.
41:01We, uh...
41:02Did some old-time entailings, didn't we?
41:04Might as well sluice it,
41:05sitting there.
41:06Oh, really?
41:07Perfect.
41:07Anything you get is bonus.
41:09I mean, if the prize is off the day,
41:11rather than throw one of the white,
41:12that don't make no sense.
41:13Did it show anything?
41:15Well, there's a little bit.
41:17Could I better count it quick, I guess, huh?
41:19I'll pour slow.
41:21There we go.
41:22One, two, three, four.
41:23And a five,
41:26and a six,
41:27and a seven,
41:28eight,
41:29nine,
41:30ten,
41:31eleven,
41:31twelve,
41:32thirteen,
41:33fourteen,
41:35fourteen point
41:36two eight.
41:37Worth nearly $50,000.
41:40It all adds up.
41:41It all adds up.
41:43I'm proud of you.
41:45That is a good little venture.
41:47So you want to see what comes from the Indian?
41:49Okay, what do we got?
41:50So far, the early bird cut is averaging 270 ounces a week.
41:56Michael, ready to count?
42:00Ten,
42:01thirty,
42:02forty,
42:04fifty,
42:04hundred,
42:05hundred,
42:06ten,
42:06hundred, twenty,
42:06hundred, seventy,
42:07hundred, ninety.
42:11Two hundred,
42:12two, ten,
42:13two, fifty,
42:13two, sixty,
42:14two, seventy,
42:15two, eighty,
42:16two, ninety,
42:17three, ten,
42:17three, twenty,
42:18three, thirty,
42:19three, forty,
42:19three, fifty,
42:20ninety.
42:21Making the four?
42:23No.
42:23No?
42:24It's three,
42:25nine,
42:25eight,
42:26point,
42:26one,
42:27eight.
42:27Worth almost $1.4 million.
42:31But I mean,
42:31you didn't make four.
42:32Oh my.
42:34Bringing the beat's season total
42:36to over twenty,
42:38three hundred ounces.
42:40So that's not bad.
42:41You said at the beginning of the season
42:42that there were some,
42:43maybe some opportunities for Mike
42:44as soon as he started getting gold out of the hill.
42:47So what's happening with that?
42:48No.
42:51No, no, no, no.
42:52You gotta get the throm all growing.
42:53That's where the real gold is gonna come from.
42:56That's all,
42:56let's do it.
42:57Just go bring me some more.
43:02Okay,
43:02see you later, guys.
43:03Yep.
43:03Bye.
43:04I do hope Tony will honor
43:07what he said to Mike
43:08because he's been working very hard
43:10to get this all sorted out.
43:11So he should get him set up.
43:14Honestly,
43:15Mike really deserves it.
43:18The frustrating part is
43:19I think I have a better chance
43:20of learning to breathe through my ass
43:21than I have him going out on my own.
43:23Whatever.
43:24What's up?
43:33Yo, yo.
43:35Well, how'd we do this week, Chris?
43:36Roxanne's just chugging away.
43:39Man,
43:40that was an unreal pan down there at Sulphur.
43:42The pan was probably
43:42one of the best ones we've ever seen.
43:44It's up there.
43:45Top ten.
43:47I hate saying anything.
43:48I don't want to jinx anything, you know?
43:50Yeah.
43:50I'm pretty good at that.
43:54How's your juggling act going?
43:56You know,
43:56it's keeping me busy,
43:57that's for sure.
43:59We're going to start out
44:00with you with Bob.
44:01How's that?
44:02Sure.
44:03Let's see how Bob did this week.
44:05Big Bob.
44:06At Dominion Creek,
44:07Tyson's been running
44:08wash plant Bob
44:10in the bridge cut
44:11where it's averaging
44:12170 ounces a week.
44:15Here we go.
44:16We got 20,
44:1840,
44:1960,
44:2080,
44:22100,
44:23120,
44:24160,
44:25180,
44:26188.4.
44:31Nice.
44:32Not bad.
44:33That's a good weight.
44:34So Bob's chugging along.
44:36Brendan,
44:37you want to do a sluice for here?
44:38Go for it.
44:39All right.
44:40Sluice for,
44:41in the Golden Mile,
44:43is pacing 200 ounces a week.
44:4520,
44:4640,
44:4760,
44:4880,
44:49100,
44:49120,
44:50150,
44:51150,
44:52180,
44:53200.
44:56Holy s**t.
44:58232.1.
45:02Wow.
45:03Holy s**t.
45:04Yeah.
45:05Nice.
45:05That's pretty cool,
45:06isn't it?
45:06Beautiful.
45:07That's a good week for Dominion.
45:09420 ounces or something?
45:11That's a good number.
45:13LAUGHTER
45:13And then there's Roxanne Mitchell.
45:18She looks heavy.
45:21Let's see what we got here.
45:23All right.
45:23Ready to rip.
45:25Ready?
45:26Yep.
45:26Now it's time to find out if Parker's move to extend the cut at sulfur will pay out.
45:3250,
45:3350,
45:34100,
45:35150,
45:37200.
45:40Oh yeah.
45:41Keep going.
45:43250.
45:45A little bit more.
45:51300 right on the dot.
45:53Plus this.
45:55We have another one.
45:56Ooh.
45:57It looks like it's got a load in there.
45:59Ready?
45:59All right.
46:00We're going to keep adding to her.
46:02There's another 40,
46:0580,
46:07100,
46:10106.5.
46:18406.5 ounces.
46:20Okay.
46:21Yeah.
46:21Yeah.
46:22Yeah.
46:23Outta boy.
46:24Mitch,
46:24go ahead and take everything up there.
46:27With just one plant,
46:29Mitch has nearly matched Tyson's two plant run.
46:35Dude,
46:36that's a lot for one week.
46:38Yeah.
46:38So this week,
46:39our total is 827 ounces.
46:43Sick.
46:45Is that crazy or what?
46:47I was not expecting that.
46:48827 ounces at record prices is worth $2.89 million.
46:58The most cash Parker's ever banked in one week.
47:03That's Parker's happy face.
47:07There we go.
47:08800 ounces,
47:09dude,
47:09you got to be happy about that in a week.
47:12Hell yeah.
47:14I just hope we can keep it up.
47:15There's still so much season left.
47:17Good way to start it, though.
47:18That's a good way to start it.
47:20Thank you, guys.
47:20Cool.
47:21I'll bag this stuff up.
47:22We've all got.
47:22After several years of just moving from the Indian River
47:29and getting set up
