00:00You said Jared had a new girlfriend.
00:02That you were worried.
00:03He's not getting away with this again.
00:04Like, Chanel, no!
00:06He put my child in danger.
00:07No, Jared did that!
00:09He's the one that traumatised that poor girl.
00:11And I've tried to warn you.
00:12I went to see Billy.
00:13That murderer.
00:14You know, she likes you as well, you know.
00:16You're just gonna mess her up.
00:18Or worse.
00:19He said, I hurt everybody.
00:22I don't wanna hurt you.
00:25Oi, Tony!
00:26Tonya!
00:27Why is she in all this pain?
00:28Why is she bleeding when she shouldn't be?
00:29Mum?
00:30Unfortunately, all these symptoms are very normal when it comes to periods.
00:33Have you got any more of them strong pain counts?
00:35He's the last of them, okay?
00:59I thought I knew myself.
01:00I thought I knew how I felt.
01:01Now I'm thinking what the hell.
01:02I need to find my way back home.
01:06I thought I knew how I felt.
01:07Now I'm thinking what the hell.
01:08I need to find my way back home.
01:13I thought I knew how I felt.
01:14I thought I knew how I felt.
01:15Now I'm thinking what the hell.
01:16I need to find my way back home.
01:20I need to find my way back home.
01:21I need to find my way back home.
01:23I need to find my way back home.
01:24I need to find my way back home.
01:30Nan?
01:31Nan?
01:32Anna?
01:33What do you want?
01:35I came to see you.
01:38Yeah.
01:39Ah, they're not any old riff-raff in here.
01:43It's Lois, Nan.
01:46Who?
01:47It's Lois.
01:50Your granddaughter.
01:52I don't have a granddaughter.
01:55Only a grandson.
01:58It is you, Jake, isn't it?
02:04I've been waiting for you to come.
02:11Yeah.
02:16It's me, Nan.
02:24Mum, Mum, I can't do this today.
02:26It hurts so bad.
02:27I know it does, baby.
02:28It's just that today's really important.
02:30I've got that parenting lesson, haven't I?
02:32You know, I can't miss it.
02:33Oh, please.
02:34Darling, I'm sorry.
02:35Look, I just don't want to risk us getting into any more trouble, Tan.
02:38Who knows what they'll do if I miss this class.
02:40Mum, this is the worst it's ever been.
02:45Like, it feels different.
02:48I think, like, there's something seriously wrong.
02:53Well, have you taken your painkillers?
02:56What about them stick-on-heat patches I got you?
02:59Nothing's helping.
03:01Mum?
03:02Mum, can I just go home?
03:04Right.
03:05Come here.
03:06Look.
03:07You.
03:08You are the strongest person I know.
03:10OK?
03:11And all you've got to do is get through today,
03:14and then if you're still this bad tomorrow,
03:17I'll let you stay at home.
03:18OK, I promise.
03:19I'll go to the canteen.
03:20Who's coming?
03:21Tom?
03:22I'm just gonna sit here for a bit.
03:23I've got a pair of pairs I can have you off.
03:25It's a bit more than that.
03:26It's a bit more than that.
03:27Just getting a bit boring now, innit?
03:28You're always ill.
03:29Oh, sure.
03:30Just saying.
03:31It's boring for you?
03:32Yeah, try being me, Portia.
03:33What are the doctors we're hoping?
03:34No.
03:35No.
03:36No.
03:37No.
03:38No.
03:39No.
03:40No.
03:41No.
03:42No.
03:43No.
03:44Just keep pushing, yeah?
03:45Mmm.
03:46No.
03:47I've got a pair of pairs I can have you off.
03:48I've got a pair of pairs I can have you off.
03:49It's a bit more than that.
03:50Just getting a bit boring now, innit?
03:51You're always ill.
03:52Portia.
03:53Just saying.
03:54It's boring for you.
03:56Yeah, try being me, Portia.
03:59I thought the doctors were helping.
04:01No, they just keep fobbing me off.
04:04Just keep pushing, yeah?
04:06Mm.
04:07Look, these are the last ones. Any more, me Nan will notice.
04:22Keep them safe. Make them last.
04:37Oi, oi! What's going on here, then?
04:59Nothing.
05:00It didn't look like nothing from over there.
05:02You're like jelly round her.
05:04Hey, don't you be getting embarrassed? Right? I love a bit of love, mate.
05:09We're not in love.
05:11Oh, right. Yeah, me think the lady doff protest too much.
05:15What?
05:16Look, if you ever need any advice right on how to keep her sweet, you know what I am, yeah?
05:23Look, I am somewhat of a guru when it comes to the matters of the heart.
05:34Keep her sweet.
05:43We wanted to reassure you that despite Miss Spratt's absence, you still have Mrs Drake and myself supporting the Advanced Learning Programme, so there will be no impact to you at all.
05:57We're very much on track for your presentations this afternoon.
06:01PHONE RINGS
06:02Excuse me?
06:04Do you think it's appropriate to enter a classroom late without an apology?
06:08I'm sorry.
06:09Shall we try that again?
06:12I'm sorry I'm late.
06:15I'll take your seat.
06:21So, this is your last chance to polish up your presentations. If you need any help, just ask me or Mrs Drake.
06:29If you haven't already done so, I need everybody to tie the hair back, please.
06:34Here you go.
06:35Come on.
06:37You need to tie your hair back?
06:39What?
06:40Tonya, hair back now, please. Here's a rubber band.
06:44Here you go, use it.
06:47Don't want your hair to be as red as your face.
06:50Portia.
06:51I'm joking.
06:53Okay, I think we're ready to start.
06:55So, once you've made sure that your Bunsen burner air hole is closed, to minimise the flame, then you can light it.
07:03Okay? Off you go.
07:05Right, you check the Bunsen burner and I'll light the splint.
07:18Ready?
07:20Go on.
07:24Turn it.
07:28Miss, our Bunsen burner isn't working.
07:31I mean...
07:33Have you checked your gas taps on properly?
07:35Mm-hmm.
07:37I'll give it a...
07:38Right.
07:46Help!
07:48She's obviously mad!
07:51Stop filming!
07:52It's out! It's out!
07:54It's out, Miss, it's out!
07:56Don't you dare!
07:58Are you okay, Miss?
07:59I'm all right.
08:03You should have thought you're all right, Batman.
08:05You said it weren't working.
08:07I'm...
08:08I'm so sorry.
08:10So sorry, Daniel.
08:11Don't move.
08:12Tanya, Mrs Drake's office now!
08:34Tonya! Mrs Drake's office, now!
08:40So this is a curriculum map, excuse me, of the subjects that Tonya's studying
08:46and I've also got copies of the text that she's doing for her exams.
08:49It's just so that you can familiarise yourself with them.
08:53Frankenstein.
08:54What we found is that when parents and guardians have good knowledge of the curriculum
08:59it just helps keep students engaged.
09:01Jo, me reading Frankenstein is not going to make Tonya more engaged at school.
09:07We know why she's struggling, she's ill.
09:10Of course, of course, but if there are some subjects that she's struggling with
09:14more than others, well, she may be more inclined to miss those.
09:18She can't pick and choose when she's in pain.
09:21I made her come in today when she didn't want to.
09:24She should be congratulated for making any lessons right now,
09:27not punished, because she needs time off.
09:31Uh, sorry to interrupt. I need to speak to Nicky. It's urgent.
09:35What's this?
09:52Uh, it's a present.
09:56You got me a packet of sweets as a present?
10:00Well, I see you eating them all the time, so I thought...
10:04Uh...
10:06Well, obviously that's a small present.
10:08You know, that's not a proper present.
10:11That's a...
10:13That's a pre-present.
10:15Right.
10:29Poor Nan stopped.
10:31Not got a secret boyfriend you haven't told us about, have you?
10:33I wish it was that.
10:36It's my mum.
10:37My mum only used to text that much when she wanted something.
10:41So, it's about my Nan.
10:43She's in a proper bad way.
10:45Mum wants me to go and be with her, but I, er...
10:48I saw her this morning and...
10:51She couldn't remember who I was.
10:53Who I am now.
10:55That's proper sad.
10:58Yeah, but...
11:00You've got to do what's best for you, babe.
11:02And if that's not seeing her, then...
11:05Don't.
11:06Girls, can we keep it quiet and focus, please?
11:09Your hair looks really nice today, miss.
11:11Thanks.
11:12Trying a new shampoo.
11:14Better than Miss Chandra's.
11:16Oh.
11:17You seen that video?
11:18What video?
11:19Your mum's hair is wrecked.
11:21Mm-hmm.
11:23Singed.
11:24Oh.
11:33Are you sure you don't want to go and get checked out at the hospital?
11:36Oh, it's a hairdresser that I need, not a doctor.
11:41Tanya, what's happened?
11:42Are you okay?
11:43There's been a serious incident.
11:45A science experiment went wrong and Tanya ran away from the class.
11:49It was an accident.
11:50Oh, no, it wasn't.
11:52Excuse me?
11:53Tanya said it was an accident, then it was an accident.
11:55I came this close to being really hurt.
11:58You could have been hurt.
12:00You weren't listening, Tanya, and it's not for the first time.
12:03She has been on another planet all week.
12:05I hate to say this, right, but I think that she's smoking cannabis.
12:09You what?
12:10What makes you say that, Miss Chandra?
12:11Cos she's just been coming into my lessons and falling asleep and she's totally spaced out.
12:15No, I haven't.
12:17I swear.
12:18Who do you think you are, saying things like that about my Tanya?
12:21Well, she's your daughter.
12:22You must have noticed that something's not right with her.
12:24Obviously I've noticed something isn't right with her.
12:26She's in constant pain and no one will help her.
12:28And if there was an accident in the science lab, there's only one person to blame and that's the teacher in charge.
12:33Nicky, come on.
12:34And if the kids weren't listening, why on earth would you go through with the experiment, eh?
12:38Where was that on your risk assessment?
12:40You are not blaming your bad parenting on me.
12:43Said the woman who shared a bloke with her own daughter.
12:46Do you think shouting like fishwives is a suitable way to behave in front of a student?
12:50Miss Chandra, you've had a horrible shock.
12:53I want you to take the rest of the day off a timetable and make a start on your incident report.
12:57Wendy will give you all the help that you need.
13:06I'm afraid we can't ignore this accusation, Nicky.
13:08Given Tanya's behaviour, clearly something's not right here.
13:12Obviously.
13:13I've been saying that all along.
13:15She's sick and no one is helping me.
13:17What about Miss Chandra's observations? Is there a possibility?
13:20Oh, you can't be serious. Come on.
13:23Well, Nicky, I have to say, pupils, they don't look normal.
13:26Right, well, they could be like that for any reason.
13:32Look, if you think Tanya's taking drugs, then go ahead and search her.
13:35But I'm telling you now, you're going to look stupid.
13:38Mr Casey, can you organise a search of Tanya's bag and locker, please?
13:42I'll get Mike to lead.
13:43What police?
13:44He's a school liaison officer.
13:46All right, fine. We've nothing to hide.
13:49All right, baby.
14:03That's sick, man.
14:04Right, it's not funny, OK?
14:06Miss Chandra could have been killed.
14:08It was quite bad.
14:09And it could have been any of us who got hurt.
14:12I've got to see a man about a dog.
14:14You're treating me like I'm a criminal.
14:17It's a protocol.
14:18It's heavy-handed.
14:19If you've done nothing wrong, then you've got nothing to worry about.
14:22OK, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on.
14:24You've always had it in the meat.
14:25Er, that's not true, Tanya.
14:26We wouldn't be doing our jobs if we didn't follow up with an accusation like this.
14:27Come on, come on.
14:28Miss Chandra only said it because she hates me.
14:29Er, Tanya.
14:30So, are you going to search every other kid's locker?
14:31Because he's going to be doing our job if we didn't follow up with an accusation like
14:32this?
14:33Come on, come on, come on, come on, come on.
14:34You're treating me like I'm a criminal.
14:35It's a protocol.
14:36It's heavy-handed.
14:37If you've done nothing wrong, then you've got nothing to worry about.
14:38OK, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on.
14:43You've always had it in the meat.
14:45Er, that's not true, Tanya.
14:47We wouldn't be doing our jobs if we didn't follow up with an accusation like this.
14:50Come on, come on.
14:52Miss Chandra only said it because she hates me.
14:55Er, Tanya.
14:56So, are you going to search every other kid's locker?
14:59Because he upsets each arm?
15:00We need to, yes.
15:01Right, we're going to apologise to Tanya when you've proven wrong.
15:06Which one is it?
15:10It's just that one.
15:12Mr. Cold?
15:134-7-3-9.
15:16Getting a bit of independent studying, I see.
15:31That is the key to good grades.
15:34My schoolwork's important to me.
15:36Yeah, good.
15:37Of course.
15:39Probably difficult to concentrate, what, with all that, erm, stuff with Miss Spratt.
15:46It was pretty stressful.
15:48I mean, I knew she never liked me, but to go that far, I suppose she was just looking out for Libby.
15:54Yeah.
15:55Yeah, right.
15:56And got the wrong end of the stick?
15:59She wasn't to know my accent right in the head.
16:01I thought I managed to get away from all of that coming here, you know?
16:05Just hope people don't think differently and we know.
16:08Oh, no, no, no, no, I'm sure they don't.
16:12Libby hasn't been replying to our messages lately, I don't suppose you...
16:16Didn't she tell you?
16:17She broke her phone.
16:19She put a SIM in my old one, but maybe it's playing up.
16:22No, no, she didn't tell us.
16:24But that makes perfect sense now.
16:27Right, well, I'll leave you to it.
16:29Oh, erm, if you do see Libby before me, could you tell her that Kat has organised an old-school Guthrie family quiz for tonight?
16:37And we're excited to have her there.
16:42Oh, here he is, eh? Casanova.
16:45Little birdie told me you gave her Agnes a gift earlier.
16:48Stace, you've been shouting your mouth off again?
16:50Er, calm yourself, little boy. You did it in the middle of the lesson.
16:53Right, go on. What'd you get for her?
16:55Was it the key to your heart?
16:58Some...sweets.
17:02Sweets? Who are you? Willy Wonka?
17:05What would you have done?
17:07Right, well, you've come to the right person for advice.
17:11Do you know what her love language is?
17:15Er...what's her love language?
17:19Well, Kay.
17:22Kay, that's way, way too advanced.
17:24Right? You see, the thing is, man, I've never dated a Christian girl before, so...
17:28Er, Noel, you've never dated anyone before me.
17:33Okay.
17:34Fez, look, you see the thing with Christian people, yeah?
17:37Like, they say they don't believe in sex before marriage, but...
17:40Wait.
17:42You think she wants sex?
17:44Mm.
17:45Proves you're anchored, don't it?
17:46If she does, you're gonna have to put a ring on it.
17:49A ring?
17:50Yeah. To show you're committed.
17:51That you actually like her. You're not gonna just mess her around.
17:55Yeah.
17:56And, er, what better way to show commitment...
17:59...than to get married?
18:01Yeah?
18:02You should be getting some if you do.
18:05Yeah.
18:06I thought we were meeting in the library.
18:21Your, er, dad was in there.
18:24Yeah?
18:26He was quizzing me.
18:27About Sprat.
18:30When were you gonna tell me about this family quiz thing tonight?
18:34Oh, that is not a big deal.
18:36It's just something we used to do.
18:38Kat's been messaging about it, but I haven't said yes yet.
18:42I'm not invited.
18:47Don't you want to spend time with me?
18:48Of course I do.
18:49Do you know how it feels to have your girlfriend's family made to hate you?
18:52They don't.
18:54You're such a bad liar, Libby.
18:57I can't believe you're doing this to me.
18:58I'm not!
19:00It would just be a good thing if I go to the quiz tonight.
19:03How'd you figure that?
19:04Because my dad's obviously on one and me going there will stop him from asking any more questions.
19:10If you don't want to be with me, Libby.
19:12Just say it.
19:14Just blaming it on your dad.
19:15That's not of course I want to be with you.
19:18It's just...
19:20Just what?
19:21I want to see my family too.
19:26Have I ever stopped you from seeing your family?
19:29I didn't get to spend my birthday with them.
19:32That wasn't my fault.
19:35I can't believe you say something like that to me.
19:37I...
19:39Jared!
19:46Jared, wait.
19:52I've given you everything.
19:55It's just not enough, is it?
19:56It is.
19:57Drama follows you around.
19:58Everyone thinks you're a total nightmare and yet I'm still here constantly trying to clear up your mess.
20:02Jared!
20:03I'm the only one stupid enough to put up with you.
20:06This is the way you treat me.
20:09You don't appreciate me.
20:11I love you so much.
20:12You make me feel like I'm nothing.
20:14Jared, you're hurting me.
20:15I'm sorry Lib, I...
20:21You know I never hurt you on purpose.
20:24You know that right?
20:26Yeah.
20:28I'm so sorry.
20:30I'm just...
20:31I'm just sick of people always making out like I don't love you.
20:38Well I think you owe Tonya an apology.
20:40I'm just as pleased as you are that nothing was found.
20:42But an accusation was made and we had to follow it up.
20:46And there's still the issue of Tonya's behaviour to deal with.
20:49Well she's already told you that was an accident so...
20:51I'm not just talking about today.
20:52You know how poor her attendance record is.
20:55Excuse me?
20:56My daughter's got a chronic illness.
20:58Which by the way no one seems to want to support us with.
21:00I'm aware that Tonya is going through something difficult.
21:03And we're doing what we can for her.
21:05But until she gets a formal diagnosis...
21:07Which could take years and in the meantime Tonya loses out.
21:09I know my work is rubbish.
21:13And I'm barely here.
21:15But I'm not doing it on purpose.
21:18I feel ill all the time.
21:22And if I'm lucky enough to have a day where I'm not in absolute agony...
21:26I'm exhausted.
21:28And my head is always fuzzy.
21:30I'm sorry Tonya but that doesn't preclude you from facing consequences when you've done something wrong.
21:36You will not be able to participate in a science experiment for two weeks.
21:40And you'll be on report for the foreseeable.
21:43Right. Right. Okay.
21:46Well thanks for being so understanding. Come on Tonya.
21:48Alright.
21:58What was that look about between you and Ashton earlier?
22:01What?
22:03No. Don't play dumb with me Tonya. I saw him nod at you just before the drug search.
22:07Look.
22:09I know things are tough at the moment baby but if you are not honest with me then I can't help you can I?
22:15Hey?
22:17Tonya.
22:19Please just don't be angry.
22:23Alright. Go on.
22:25Yeah.
22:29He's...
22:30Been giving me some of his nan's painkillers to try and help me in that.
22:35He's what?
22:37He said he wouldn't get angry.
22:39I'm not angry. I'm scared.
22:41Do you have any idea how dangerous it is taking drugs that are not yours?
22:46Nothing else is working.
22:48Then we'll go back to the doctors and ask them to give you something stronger but you have got to promise me that you will stop taking what he has given to you.
22:56I mean it Tonya. I am not having you taking this risk.
22:59Ashton he won't get in trouble will he?
23:03Well what he's been doing is dangerous.
23:06He only did it because I asked him to.
23:09Mum please don't say anything.
23:14Alright.
23:17You stop taking them right now.
23:20And I won't say anything.
23:22Okay?
23:26Right. Come here.
23:29Right. So we're going to be watching the first ten minutes of this and I want you to write down any new Spanish words or phrases that you perhaps don't understand and then we're going to see if we can translate them together.
23:43You can't watch the film with me at the same time.
23:50What's your love language?
23:52Love language?
23:54Where do you hear that?
23:56I don't know.
23:58Around.
23:59I'm not sure.
24:04Why?
24:06Well, um, say if I wanted to show you, um, you know, like, uh, you know, Shuey, can we hold the chatter please?
24:19I don't think I do know.
24:22Um, right.
24:24What I got you, that weren't, like, right.
24:28And, uh, if you know what's right then, uh, you know, I'd, if I could know and you know and tell me and I know.
24:36Okay, so, you mean, how can you show me that you like me?
24:43Yeah.
24:45Um, well, I guess I like loyalty, affection, physical touch.
24:57Uh, Agnes, Shuey, can you stop whispering sweet nothings to each other and just, yeah, concentrate, please.
25:06Look, it's best to be important. I've had to tell Michelle I felt sick just so I could get out a lesson.
25:28I need the pills.
25:31Oh, thanks for hiding them and everything, but I need a mark.
25:37I don't think that's a good idea.
25:39Well, why?
25:40Well, they've got my nan's name all over them.
25:42I don't want the poppers to be on my back.
25:45Besides, I'm worried about you.
25:48You don't need to be.
25:50You don't look well.
25:52I think you're taking too many.
25:54I don't look well because I am losing my mind with this pain.
26:01I can't.
26:03I'm sorry.
26:04It's quite fine.
26:07I'll find a dealer easy enough.
26:10Tonya!
26:16What happened earlier?
26:17I hate myself for it.
26:19It's okay.
26:20The fact that you made me so angry that I could do something like that.
26:24You didn't mean it.
26:26I was just so hit.
26:29Knowing that your family don't like me, that they don't think I'm good enough.
26:33That's not true.
26:34And that you don't defend me to them.
26:36I do, I really do.
26:38I want this to work so badly, but I'm just not sure it can.
26:42What?
26:43Of course it can.
26:44I don't know if it's too late.
26:46It's not too late.
26:47Just tell me what you need me to do and I'll do it.
26:50Anything.
26:51Jared, I can't lose you.
26:54I think you should stop spending so much time with your family.
27:00The only reason we're arguing is because of them getting in between us.
27:04They've got in your head.
27:06It would be fine if it wasn't for them.
27:08You're 18 now.
27:12You don't need to do what your dad tells you anymore.
27:18You're right.
27:20I'll tell them tonight.
27:22Why wait till then?
27:25I've been working on a surprise for you.
27:28I wasn't going to tell you yet, but I thought it was a place.
27:32What?
27:33Somewhere just for us.
27:35The caravan in my dad's garden.
27:38We're moving together.
27:40It'll be amazing.
27:42We'll be able to be together all the time, do everything together.
27:47Please say yes, Lib.
27:51It's all I want.
27:54To be with you.
27:56I love that.
28:00Surgery is still being carried out without anaesthetic.
28:14Can you do that?
28:15Imagine it.
28:16Just the thoughts of it makes me shudder.
28:17Oh, Mrs. Drake.
28:18What can I do for you?
28:19I need to borrow Lois Taylor Brown.
28:21Please.
28:22Yes, of course.
28:23I'll bring you stuff.
28:26You're welcome.
28:27Right.
28:28Well, let's go.
28:29Am I in trouble?
28:31No.
28:32Your mum called.
28:33You've got permission to take the rest of the afternoon off to be with your nan.
28:38Your mum's stuck at work, so she needs you to go.
28:39I don't want to.
28:40What?
28:41I don't want to go.
28:42I'm not sure you understand the urgency, Lois.
28:43I do.
28:44I know she's dying, miss.
28:45I'm not stupid.
28:46Then why?
28:47Because I don't like seeing the person I love most in this world like that.
28:48I know.
28:49I know.
28:50I know it's hard.
28:51I went to see her this morning.
28:52She doesn't even know who I am anymore.
28:53Sadly, that's often the case with dementia.
28:54I understand.
28:55You don't understand anything.
28:56It's not just about her mistaking the urgency, but I don't know who I am anymore.
28:57I don't understand anything.
28:58It's not just about her mistaking the urgency, Lois.
28:59I do.
29:00I know she's dying, miss.
29:01I'm not stupid.
29:02Then why?
29:03Because I don't like seeing the person I love most in this world like that.
29:04I know.
29:05I know.
29:06It's hard.
29:07I went to see her this morning.
29:10She doesn't even know who I am anymore.
29:15Sadly, that's often the case with dementia.
29:20I understand.
29:21You don't understand anything.
29:23It's not just about her mistaking me for somebody else.
29:27To her, I'm not Lois.
29:30I'm not her granddaughter.
29:33She dead named me.
29:37When she was well, she was the only person in my whole family who never did it.
29:44Not once.
29:45Not even by accident.
29:47She just got it, you know.
29:50And my mother had dementia.
29:55It's a very cruel disease that steals the things that make us us.
30:01I don't want this to be my final memory of her.
30:06You control how you choose to remember someone.
30:09It's your choice whether you go.
30:10I can't force you to.
30:12But I think you regret not saying goodbye.
30:15Well, it just, it just hurts.
30:18That's the price of love.
30:25Chilly's ready to go!
30:29I mean, what kind of a mother doesn't realise that her own daughter's doping herself upon drugs?
30:33Well, she must have been desperate.
30:34The doctor's made her feel like she'd run out of options.
30:36So, what is Ashton then?
30:37A dealer?
30:38What, he's just handing out drugs to anyone who asks for him?
30:41He can't get away with it!
30:42Right, well, you told Tonya you weren't going to say anything, so...
30:44He could have killed her.
30:46Come off, innit?
30:47No!
30:48I'm not going to tell Mike.
30:49What, so you're going to grass in a teenager for helping a mate out?
30:51Really?
30:52Well, I might have known you wouldn't understand.
30:53You were supplying your own daughter with drugs, weren't you?
30:55Nasty.
30:56Summy.
30:57I'm just trying to stop you from doing something that you can't take back.
31:00Yes, Ashton's made a mistake, but he's a kid.
31:03You grass on him to Mike, he could get expelled, he could get put away.
31:06What, you've got to ruin his life?
31:07Really?
31:08Do you think that's fair?
31:09None of this is fair.
31:10No, I know.
31:11But what's done is done.
31:13Look, channel some of this energy into getting Tonya better and leave that Ashton out of it.
31:21Right.
31:22Okay, well then I won't tell Mike.
31:24But this is not the end of it.
31:26Margaret, chilly!
31:30Oh yeah!
31:31Oh yeah!
31:32Oh yeah!
31:33Oh yeah!
31:34Oh yeah!
31:35Oh yeah!
31:36Oh yeah!
31:37Oh yeah!
31:38Oh yeah!
31:39Oh yeah!
31:40Jared not with you.
31:42Usually joined at the hip.
31:44Do you think we spend too much time together?
31:47Probably.
31:48But I get it.
31:49You're in love and whatever.
31:50Dad does.
31:51Dad would be happy if neither of us dated until we're in our twenties.
31:55Ignore him.
31:56Did you rob a grave or something?
32:00I just wanted to get my girlfriend a gift.
32:03They're beautiful.
32:05Just like you.
32:12Hey!
32:13See that there, Chewy?
32:15That is how you do it, son.
32:17Give us one of your rings.
32:22Are you serious?
32:23Yes.
32:24Just give us one of your rings, will ya?
32:27Give him a ring!
32:28Mark?
32:29You okay?
32:30This pain is doing my head in.
32:34I bet it is.
32:35I'm sorry.
32:36Mark, are you OK?
32:47This pain is doing my head in.
32:50I bet it is.
32:51I'm sorry.
32:52Can I ask you a favour?
32:57Sure of anything?
33:01You know, the dealers you used to work with, can I get a number?
33:05I don't think that's a good idea.
33:09I just need some proper painkillers.
33:13And then the doctor won't give me any.
33:15If I have something stronger, I'll be fine.
33:18Yeah, but these guys don't shift painkillers.
33:21It's fine.
33:22It's OK.
33:23I'll take anything.
33:26I'm sorry, Tonya, but I can't help you.
33:28And you really need to go back to the doctors.
33:31Fine.
33:33I thought you were my friend, but obviously not.
33:36There's nothing on there.
33:40I'm not pleased.
33:41I'm late.
33:42Yeah.
33:43Yeah?
33:44What?
33:45Agnes?
33:46I've got something for you.
33:48Is it a packet of polos where there's original?
33:52Agnes?
33:53Agnes?
33:54I've got something for you.
33:56I've got something for you.
33:57Is it a packet of polos where there's original?
34:00Agnes?
34:01Will you?
34:02Shewy?
34:03What are you doing?
34:04What are you doing?
34:05What does it look like I'm doing?
34:06Agnes, will you?
34:07Please don't do this.
34:08Sorry?
34:09Is Shewy Weaver proposing?
34:10I thought this is what you wanted.
34:11Why?
34:12We've only just got together.
34:14It's really too soon for anything like this.
34:15Oh no.
34:16You set me up.
34:17What?
34:18I don't know what you did.
34:19You set me up.
34:20What?
34:21No, I'm going to sit and à .
34:22No!
34:23She way, calm down!
34:25Leave it alone while we embarrass you for the second time.
34:26You're gonna smash your face yet!
34:29I didn't do anything!
34:30I didn't do anything!
34:31I didn't do anything!
34:32I can't give you anything.
34:34I don't do anything.
34:35You know what you lost me?
34:36I can't give you anything away.
34:37I can't give you anything away.
34:38No, Chewy, I'm down.
34:39Leave him alone before we embarrass you for the second time.
34:41It will smash your face yet!
34:44I didn't do anything!
34:45I can't give you anything!
34:46You know me?
34:47Bye!
34:48You're definitely not wearing a shoe.
34:49What was all that about?
34:59I mean, you've been really trying recently.
35:03Look, we're just trying to help.
35:05You can talk to us.
35:07You made him look like an idiot.
35:09Well, that's no excuse for you to go for him like that, though.
35:12What did Noel do?
35:16Nothing.
35:17Well, he must have done something.
35:20Oh, yeah.
35:22He told me to do it.
35:27Propose?
35:28Yeah.
35:32I take it Agnes is your first girlfriend.
35:35No!
35:36No!
35:37Shut up!
35:38Oh, Shuey, come on.
35:41It's okay to admit that you don't know stuff.
35:43Oh!
35:43I have really messed up.
35:50Am I?
35:51No.
35:52No.
35:53No.
35:54Not necessarily.
35:55I mean, have you asked Agnes what she wants?
36:00Kinda.
36:01See, that's where you're going wrong.
36:03How are we going to know what she wants if you don't talk to her?
36:05Communication and honesty are key elements to a good relationship.
36:11Actually, you need to talk to her properly.
36:14And just tell her how you feel.
36:20Cheers.
36:23Yeah, can I go?
36:25Just Noel, went to Noel for relationship advice.
36:41Noel.
36:43Nice.
36:44I know.
36:46Poor lad's never had a healthy relationship in his life, has he?
36:48Yeah, not like he can go to his dad for advice.
36:50It felt like he listened to us, though.
36:52It did, didn't it?
36:53Yeah.
36:55Missed it, you know.
36:56You know.
36:58Offering guidance, support.
37:00Parenting, you mean?
37:02Mm.
37:04Owen.
37:05Mm?
37:06Do you think we're ready to foster again?
37:10We could really help someone like Shui.
37:15Yeah, we really could.
37:23Have you spoken to Ashton lately?
37:27Eh, not really.
37:28Why?
37:31Look, is there something going on, Nick?
37:32He's been giving Tonya his nan's painkillers.
37:34Sorry, what?
37:35Yeah.
37:35Tonya begged me not to say anything, but I think you should know.
37:39What, have you told anyone else?
37:41Just Debs.
37:42What if something had happened to Tonya?
37:45You need to do something about him.
37:47You know, you say that like it's easy.
37:48You're his dad.
37:49Yeah, I'm his biological father, but we don't even know each other.
37:52How am I supposed to parent him when I can barely get him to talk to me?
37:55You'll find a way.
37:56Tonya!
38:15Tonya!
38:20I'm sorry, Dante.
38:22I, um, I need to leave.
38:24I'll take it as a compliment.
38:25You got me mixed up with Mr. Charles.
38:27Thank you, Dante.
38:28Thank you, Dante.
38:28Thank you, Dante.
38:28Thank you, Dante.
38:28Thank you, Dante.
38:48Uh, if you don't want to talk to me, I get it.
38:53But I need to explain.
39:00I really wanted to do things right with you, but obviously I got confused on what you want
39:09and not.
39:10I'm not.
39:13Okay.
39:17When you said you like physical touch, um, I thought you meant sex.
39:24And because you're Christian, we'd have to get married first, so...
39:29You tried to propose because you thought I wanted to have sex.
39:31No!
39:34Okay, kinda, a little bit.
39:35Stace and Noel said I need to prove my commitment.
39:39You've been asking Noel for advice.
39:40I know.
39:41I know.
39:42I know.
39:43I...
39:45I messed up.
39:48But...
39:51I really like you.
39:54I really like it.
39:58I like you, too.
40:00You do?
40:02Yes.
40:04Despite all this.
40:19Where's my nan?
40:21I'm so sorry, love.
40:22She went peacefully.
40:24But I was here this morning, and...
40:27She wanted you to have these.
40:29Yes.
40:30Yes.

41:21Tonya?
41:32Tonya?
41:36Just open it.
41:46Oh, my God! Tonya!
41:48Tonya? Tonya?
41:50You look after her and I'll get Mr Todd.
41:52You're gonna be alright, Tonya, I promise.
41:56So...
41:58What have I done now?
42:00Er, I have a proposal for you.
42:02So...
42:04Oh, er, an offer. Sorry. An offer.
42:08Erm...
42:10I know things have been difficult, right?
42:12And I know that the care home isn't an ideal place for you to live.
42:16So...
42:18How do you feel about coming to live with me and Mr Otherford?
42:22But fostered, I mean, right?
42:25I've spoken to social services, they are open to the idea.
42:28We could try it for a few weeks and, you know, just...
42:31Oh, yeah.
42:33Funny, sir.
42:36Oh, er, no. I'm serious.
42:39I...
42:41I would seriously rather eat glass.
42:47Yeah?
42:57Tonya?
42:58Help's in its way, try not to panic.
43:00I've called an ambulance and I've sent someone to find your mum.
43:04Tonya!
43:06Come on.
43:08It really hurts.
43:09Oh, I'm here, darling. I'm here.
43:11I'm here now.
43:12I'm here.
43:13I'm here.
43:14Right, listen to me.
43:15Listen to me.
43:16Have you taken any more of them tablets?
43:19Please don't be angry with me.
43:21I'm sorry.
43:22Oh, right, come on.
43:23Everyone, stop dragging your feet.
43:25Everyone, head into the presentations.
43:27Go to the hall.
43:28Everyone else, go.
43:29It's a lesson.
43:30Come on, girls, let's go.
43:31Come on, that's it.
43:32Oi, you.
43:33If anything's happened to her, it's all your fault.
43:35What?
43:36Drug dealing.
43:38Thysmetic.
43:40Right, come on, clear this corridor now.
43:42Just get to your classes.
43:43Jo, Tonya.
43:44I'm not sure yet.
43:48What's happened?
43:51Tonya's collapsed.
43:52They reckon it's a drugs overdose.
43:59Ashton.
44:00Ashton.
44:01Get in here now.
44:02Get in.
44:07What the hell were you thinking?
44:08I don't know what you're on about.
44:09Don't lie to me, Ashton.
44:11I know you've been supplying Tonya painkillers.
44:13I just can't believe you'd do something so stupid.
44:16How does everyone even know about that?
44:18You know, this, that is serious, man.
44:20If Tonya's hurt, then...
44:22I tried to stop.
44:23I swear.
44:24I told her today I wasn't going to give her any more.
44:28And she said she'd get it from somewhere else.
44:30I'm screwed, aren't I?
44:35No.
44:38No, of course you're not.
44:42But...
44:43Tonya's going to be fine.
44:45You reckon?
44:46Yeah.
44:47Yeah, she's, erm...
44:50She's made our strong stuff.
44:53Just like her mum.
44:55What if they call to Miss Drake?
44:58Or the police?
44:59Hey.
45:01Listen.
45:04Whatever happens,
45:06I've got you back.
45:07Okay?
45:09So, has Nicky been informed?
45:10Yeah, her and Tonya were on the way to the hospital now.
45:14You okay, Lois?
45:15I'll leave you to it.
45:16Yeah, keep me updated, please.
45:24She's gone.
45:26Oh, I'm sorry, Lois.
45:28I never got to her.
45:29I never got to tell her what she meant to me.
45:33Or how important it was to have her back in me.
45:36I'm sure that she knew.
45:37Did she?
45:39Or did she forget that, the way she forgot who I truly was?
45:43She left a box of her things for me and...
45:46this was in it.
45:48And have you opened it?
45:52What if she never saw me as Lois at all?
45:55And she was just pretending?
45:57What if the dementia didn't make her forget it,
46:00just brought her true self out?
46:04What if this confirms that?
46:07I didn't know your Nan,
46:09but from what you said, she was an amazing woman.
46:12Who stood firm in her support for you,
46:15regardless of what anyone else thought.
46:17Whatever that says,
46:19you were in her thoughts right until the very end.
46:21I've got to head back to the presentations.
46:28Hope to see you in there.
46:51Oh!
47:05Nicky's message to Tonya stabilised.
47:07Oh, good.
47:09Do you need to have a refresher of our drugs policy?
47:11I just had an interesting call from our social worker.
47:13Ah.
47:15Shoei.
47:17Really, without asking me first.
47:19Well, you did say that he wanted to foster again.
47:21And that he might be able to help someone like Shoei.
47:24Like Shoei, not actual Shoei.
47:27You know, are we forgetting? He nearly cost me my job.
47:29He bullied a kid so bad he took someone else's life.
47:31Joe, I love that you care, I do.
47:34But this is a huge decision.
47:36Life-changing.
47:38It takes a lot more than one conversation.
47:39I know. I know, I'm sorry.
47:42Sorry.
47:44Just...
47:45I don't know.
47:46Got the wrong end of the stick and got carried away.
47:48Do you think? Just...
47:50Yeah.
47:51Anyway, doesn't matter now, cos he said no.
47:54Said no?
47:56Yeah.
48:00Well, probably for the best.
48:02Yeah, probably.
48:04What's up, you? Face eight.
48:16Mr. Casey asked Shoei if he would consider being fostered by him and Mr. Otherford.
48:22Really?
48:24Obviously I said no.
48:27What's that face for?
48:29Might not be that bad.
48:31Seriously.
48:34I'd be living with a teacher and a copper.
48:38Better than living in their home, though.
48:40Right?
48:42You know, you don't always have to fight against everything.
48:46You might even enjoy it.
48:48My foster mum just got me a whole new wardrobe and you definitely need one.
48:51I need one.
49:02We're aware that the presentations have gone on a little beyond the school day, so thank you all for being a fantastic audience.
49:08Our final presentation of the afternoon is by Lois Taylor-Brown, which is entitled, Why Lois Lane is My Superwoman.
49:16When I was a kid, I used to love science fiction. It was something me and my Nan did together. We'd read comics, watch films and then act them out. It was an opportunity to see worlds and people you never usually get to see. People who are more often than not outsiders.
49:30They were bitten by a spider, they come from a different planet, and they had to hide their true identity. And though I didn't have the words for it at the time, I was doing the same thing. I was an outsider hiding my dreams.
49:48True identity. But it wasn't really science fiction that made me realise I could embrace that. It was my Nan. She saw me as I saw myself and always taught me how to be brave.
50:09She encouraged me to be whatever I wanted to be, even when nobody else would. She was fierce and bold and wore these amazing earrings.
50:30And today we lost her. The world's a bit darker and less tolerant without her in it. Lois Lane may have inspired me to be a smart, strong-willed woman.
50:52But the real superwoman was my Nan, Lesley Taylor.
51:15How did it go?
51:16Really well. Toxicology will confirm, but we're confident it wasn't an overdose.
51:21So what was it? What did she find?
51:23Tonya had an ovarian cyst which burst. We managed to get it all, but unfortunately also had to remove the ovary due to the damage.
51:32What?
51:33I know it sounds frightening, but there won't be any long-term impact for Tonya.
51:38We also found what looked like patches of endometriosis. We removed it and sent it off for testing.
51:44You've found endometriosis?
51:46We're pretty sure the pathology will confirm that, Les.
51:50I'll leave Tonya to sleep off the anaesthetic. I'll come back tomorrow to explain everything fully.
51:56OK, thanks.
51:57It's hard.
51:58Hey, hey, this is good. This just confirms everything she's been saying this whole time.
52:03Yeah, but this isn't going to go away, is it? This is something she's going to have to live with for life.
52:11All that pain and exhaustion and all the damage it does.
52:16Well, I only know one person that's more fierce than you, and it's our Tonya. So if anyone can manage this, it's her.
52:22And with all help, you're not going through this on your own. Come here.
52:26I'm so sorry to hear about you now, Lolo. I know she meant a lot to you.
52:39She sounded well cool.
52:41Yeah, she was.
52:43Give me a sec.
52:45You okay, miss?
52:50Hey.
52:51What you did today was very difficult.
52:54I wanted everyone to know how amazing she was.
52:56Yeah, she certainly was.
52:58Both you and your nan are role models.
53:01I could only wish to be as brave as you.
53:04I reckon you are.
53:06No, I haven't been.
53:08But I'm going to take a leaf out of your book.
53:15Thanks, miss.
53:21Hey.
53:22Hey.
53:24Hello, sleepyhead.
53:26Hey.
53:30What's going on?
53:31It's all right, baby. I'm here.
53:33You're in hospital.
53:37I talk too many painkillers.
53:42I'm sorry, I didn't mean to.
53:44Listen, you have got nothing to be sorry for.
53:51You've had to have an operation.
53:55They found endometriosis.
53:59So it wasn't the painkillers?
54:05No.
54:07And I was right.
54:09I knew.
54:14I knew I wasn't making it up.
54:18I always believed you.
54:20But if they'd really certain...
54:22I know.
54:24I know, baby.
54:25I know, baby.
54:30But we...
54:31We can fight it.
54:33No.
54:35Now we know what it is.
54:38Well...
54:40It's never going to go away, baby.
54:43But I promise you, I'm going to help you manage it.
54:47Okay?
54:49I love you so much.
54:52And I love you too.
54:54Yes, I'm sleeping.
54:56I'm sleeping.
54:58Mom's here.
54:59Where are your flowers?
55:15Did you see them?
55:17Bigger than a bride's bouquet.
55:19Jared's got them.
55:20Do you not want to take them home with you?
55:22I just need to speak to Dad for a sec.
55:25Come on, Kat.
55:26Let's give your dad and sister a minute.
55:32Has something happened?
55:33I can't come tonight.
55:34Oh, Libby, it's just one night.
55:36Jared?
55:38Maybe you're spending too much time with Jared.
55:40He's my boyfriend.
55:41I just think that it would be good if you had some time to yourself.
55:45So come home with us tonight.
55:47Moving ahead, maybe just stay there at weekends.
55:50No.
55:51Sorry?
55:52I'm not going to let you get in between me and Jared.
55:53I'm going to stay at his.
55:55So what is the plan, Libby?
55:57Are you just going to sleep in his bedroom with him forever?
56:00No, he's done up a caravan in his garden for us.
56:03A caravan?
56:04You wouldn't even go caravanning when you were little.
56:06Well, it's what I want.
56:07You're a child.
56:08You don't know what you want.
56:09I'm 18.
56:10I love Jared.
56:11He loves me.
56:12We want to be together.
56:13Is that not enough?
56:14No.
56:15No, it's not.
56:17Because relationships are complicated.
56:18Says the man with one divorce behind him already.
56:21So I know what I'm talking about.
56:23Look, I just want the best for you.
56:25So does Jared.
56:28Well, I'm not sure that's true.
56:30Maybe Amy wasn't entirely wrong about him.
56:32I can't believe you'd say that.
56:34We've been through this.
56:35Jared would never do anything to hurt me.
56:37He loves me.
56:38So do I.
56:39That's why I'm worried.
56:40You've been looking for any excuse to get in between us.
56:42You're jealous.
56:44Jared cares more about me than anyone ever has and you can't stand it.
56:47Libby!
56:48You're lucky to get it in your head that me and Jared have got a future together and you're
56:51not a part of it.
57:00Shall I whip us up my spag bowl tonight?
57:03So, er, I think it's a bit of a takeaway kind of night.
57:07Are you?
57:08Hate your feelings?
57:10Oi!
57:12Hmm?
57:13It's not like you to stay in school late.
57:15Voluntarily.
57:18Erm.
57:20If the offer is still on the table and all that, erm, may as well move in with you two, innit?
57:29So, yeah.
57:31Let me know about that.
57:42What's that with Foster and Chewy then?
57:46Yeah.
57:48Yeah, it's definitely a takeaway kind of night.
57:50Yeah, yeah.
58:12All right.
58:13See you soon!
