Mathias Vidal is a French tenor who was born in 1978. He began studying the piano at age seven and later graduated from the Conservatoire de Paris in 2003. He made his professional debut in 1998 performing in a production of Les Contes d’Hoffmann. In 2004, Vidal performed the role of Sem in the world premiere of the opera Noé. He received the Révélation Classique de l’ADAMI award in 2007. He is famous for his performances of Baroque music and has collaborated with ensembles including Les Talens Lyriques and L'Arpeggiata. His recordings include the albums Cinq-Mars (2016), Rameau triomphant (2021), and La Princesse jaune (2021). He has performed at venues including the Opéra Bastille and the Théâtre du Capitole.
