Luar Na Lubre is a Spanish folk music group formed in 1986 in the city of A Coruña, Galicia, by Bieito Romero and known for the genre of Celtic music from Galicia. The group's name translates to "resplandor de la luna" and "bosque sagrado donde los druidas celtas hacían sus rituales." They began their musical journey within the Galician music scene, evolving with increasing sophistication. Their breakthrough came in 1996 when British musician Mike Oldfield included an adaptation of "O Son Do Ar" on his album Voyager and invited the group to join his world tour. This collaboration brought them international recognition. In 2003, they composed "Memoria da Noite," a tribute to the sinking of the Prestige oil tanker. Notable albums include Espiral (2002) and Saudade (2005). The group has collaborated with various artists, including Diana Navarro and Ismael Serrano, and continues to perform worldwide, promoting Galician music and culture.
