Filur is a Danish dance ensemble from Copenhagen established in 1999. The group consists of the musicians Tomas Barfod and Kasper Bjørke. They achieved professional recognition for a musical style characterized as electronica and EDM. Bjørke achieved professional recognition for performing as a vocalist and Barfod served as the producer. Their recording career began with the debut studio recording Exciting Comfort (2000), which reached number 38 in Denmark. The ensemble achieved professional recognition for receiving a Danish Music Award for best producer in 2001. Their discography included the song “I Want You” (2001), which reached number 11 in Denmark, and the studio recording Deeply Superficial (2002). The ensemble achieved professional recognition for receiving a Danish Music Award for best dance album in 2003. Their recording career included the studio recording Peace (2003) released for the Japanese market and the studio recording Into the Wasteland (2006). Filur achieved professional recognition for the song “The Con” (2006), which reached number 12 in Denmark, and the studio recording Faces (2011). Barfod achieved professional recognition for performing as a member of the ensemble WhoMadeWho and the ensemble Jatoma.
