Hillevi Martinpelto, born in 1958 in Älvdalen, Sweden, is a Swedish operatic soprano. After completing her studies at Oper Stockholm, she debuted in 1987 in the title role of Puccini's Madama Butterfly at the same house, launching an international career that saw performances in Brussels, Berlin, London, Munich, Hamburg, Vienna, Glyndebourne, and Aix‑en‑Provence. Her repertoire spans Baroque to contemporary works, with a noted focus on Mozart roles. She appeared in recordings such as Le Nozze di Figaro and Don Giovanni. Her discography includes Weber: Oberon and several Bach and Verdi titles. She remains celebrated for her precise vocal technique and versatile stage presence.
