Enrique González Morales, known professionally as Quique González, was born on October 17, 1973, in Madrid, Spain. He is a singer and composer of rock music. After working various jobs, including at McDonald's in London and as a tourist entertainer in Mallorca, González returned to Madrid to focus on his musical career. His early breakthrough came when he composed "Aunque tú no lo sepas" for Enrique Urquijo y Los Problemas' album Desde que no nos vemos (1998). González released his debut album, Personal, in 1998 under Mercury Records. Subsequent albums include Salitre 48 (2001), Pájaros Mojados (2002), and Kamikazes Enamorados (2003). González's music blends American folk rock and heartland rock influences from artists such as Bob Dylan, Neil Young, and Tom Petty with the sound of Spanish rock musicians including Burning, Los Secretos, Antonio Vega, and Joaquín Sabina.
