Reinhold Andert (26 March 1944 – 22 November 2025) was a German singer-songwriter (Liedermacher) and author from Teplitz-Schönau. Andert completed an organ builder apprenticeship in 1964 and later studied philosophy and history in Berlin. He was a member of the Oktoberklub from 1966 to 1973 and performed at the Berlin Festival of Political Song until 1980. Andert’s recording career featured his self-titled debut album Reinhold Andert (1973), followed by the live releases Blumen für die Hausgemeinschaft (1973) and Ewald der Vertrauensmann (1978). Following his expulsion from the SED in 1980, Andert focused on satirical texts and translated the songs of Vladimir Vysotsky. He authored the books Der Sturz (1990) and Nach dem Sturz (2001), based on his interviews with Erich Honecker. His later discography included the albums Wir sind überall – Auskünfte Erich Honeckers (2004) and Alte und neue Nummern (2004). Andert died in Berlin.
