Ilkka Juhani Sysimetsä, known professionally as Frederik, was born on February 2, 1945, in Finland, and is a Finnish pop and rock singer and composer. He began his musical career as an organist with the pop group Jim & The Beatmakers and later played in the beat pop group The Roosters during the mid-1960s. His breakthrough came with hits like "Jos jotain yrittää" and "Linda, Linda". Throughout his career, he released numerous albums, including Kolmekymppinen (1980), Poing Poing Poing (1987), and Missä on jatkot? (2014). Some of his most notable songs are "Tsingis Khan", "Sheikki Ali Hassan", and "Titanic". He was awarded five gold and three diamond records for his contributions to the music industry. He also ventured into politics, becoming a candidate for the Change 2011 party in the parliamentary elections of 2015.
