Mireille Delunsch

Mireille Delunsch, born on November 2, 1962, in Mulhouse, France, is a French opera soprano. She studied piano, singing, and musicology at Strasbourg and founded a children's choir at 15. Delunsch made her debut in 1990 at the Strasbourg Opera in Boris Godounov by Moussorgski. Her career in France spanned over 70 roles from Claudio Monteverdi to Benjamin Britten, with notable performances including L'Enfance du Christ by Hector Berlioz and The Turn of the Screw by Benjamin Britten. She was invited to the Festival international d'art lyrique d'Aix-en-Provence in 1998 and was honored as a Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres and a Chevalier de la Légion d'honneur. Since September 2017, she taught singing at the Conservatoire national supérieur de musique et de danse de Lyon.
