Chicago native Bobbi Lane has been singing since childhood, guided by a calling to share the gospel of Jesus Christ through song. Known for her rich, soulful voice and unique phrasing, Bobbi blends gospel, jazz, and contemporary influences, creating music that resonates across generations.
The youngest of ten children, Bobbi was raised in a devout Christian home by Pastor and Ms. Abram Lane. Growing up in the church, she began ministering through music alongside her sisters, developing a deep foundation in faith and service that continues to shape her ministry today.
Bobbi’s early group performances opened doors to minister alongside gospel legends such as The Mighty Clouds of Joy, Shirley Caesar, The Williams Brothers, and Lee Williams. Her solo journey has since taken her to stages with celebrated gospel and R&B artists, including Hezekiah Walker, Israel Houghton, Anthony Hamilton, Fred Hammond, Ricky Dillard, Donald Lawrence, Deitrick Haddon, Kirk Franklin, Tamela Mann, Eric Benet, and Carl Thomas.
Bobbi has received multiple accolades for her artistry, including three Stellar Award nominations and a Fan Favorite nod for Praise and Worship Song of the Year for “Light in a Dark Place.” She has also been honored locally at the Rolling Out Sisters With Superpowers event in Chicago, highlighting her influence as both a musician and community leader.
In addition to her music career, Bobbi is the co-founder of Taylor Music Group with her husband, Michael Taylor, and serves as the CEO of Vibrant Magazine, a platform celebrating women of color in Illinois and expanding globally to empower women worldwide. She has been featured on major media outlets including NBC Chicago, WGN News, Radio One Praise 102.5, and many others.
