Zlatni Dečaci, a Yugoslav rock band from Belgrade, was formed in 1962 by Slobodan "Boba" Stefanović, Velibor "Borko" Kacl, Predrag Lukić, Dušan Banović, and Vidoje "Vili" Brajović. Initially known as Tigrovi, they changed their name to Zlatni Dečaci after a suggestion by national chess champion Nikola Karaklajić. In 1963, the band began performing at local clubs like Euridika. Their EP, Humoreska, was released in 1966. They also released instrumental covers of classical pieces such as "Swan Lake" and "Humoresque". These recordings were released internationally by Fontana Records under the name Golden Boys, making Zlatni Dečaci the first Yugoslav rock band to release a record for the foreign market. The band's popularity in Yugoslavia grew significantly with sold-out concerts and appearances on television. Stefanović left the group, leading to their eventual disbandment in 1967.
