Roberta Peters, born Roberta Peterman on May 4, 1930, in The Bronx, New York City, was an American operatic soprano. She began her music studies at age 13 and made her debut on November 17, 1950, replacing Nadine Conner as Zerlina in Don Giovanni at the Metropolitan Opera.
