Carmela Remigio, born in 1973 in Pescara, Italy, is an Italian soprano. She began violin lessons at five before shifting to vocal training with Aldo Protti and later Leone Magiera. In 1992, she won first prize at the Luciano Pavarotti International Voice Competition in Philadelphia, which led to more than 70 concerts with Pavarotti worldwide from 1997. She debuted professionally at the age of 19 at the Teatro Massimo Vittorio Emanuele in Palermo in Giampaolo Testoni's Alice. Remigio received the Ciattè d’oro from the city of Pescara in 2010 and the Premio Abbiati in 2016.
