Pete Droge, born March 11, 1969, in Eugene, Oregon, is an American alternative/folk rock musician. He was adopted and grew up in Bainbridge Island, Washington. In the 1990s, Droge started his musical career with various garage bands, including Ramadillo. His breakthrough came in 1994 with the release of his debut solo album Necktie Second, featuring the hit song "If You Don't Love Me (I'll Kill Myself)" on Rick Rubin's American Recordings. Droge opened for notable artists like B.B. King and Tom Petty. In 1996, he released Find a Door under the name Pete Droge & The Sinners. Throughout his career, Droge collaborated with artists like Matthew Sweet and Shawn Mullins in the group The Thorns, and his music can be heard in films like Dumb and Dumber and Zombieland.
