Tapper Zukie, born David Sinclair in 1955, is a Jamaican reggae deejay, producer, and record label owner from Kingston. Emerging in the early 1970s, he gained recognition with recordings such as Man Ah Warrior (1973) and M.P.L.A (1976), the former helping establish his reputation in the United Kingdom. He supported Patti Smith on her UK tour, with Smith also reissuing Man Ah Warrior on her Mer label. Zukie later founded the Stars label, producing artists such as Horace Andy, Prince Alla, Max Romeo, Sugar Minott, and U-Roy. His notable albums include Peace in the Ghetto (1978), Tapper Roots (1978), Raggamuffin (1986), and Deep Roots (1996).
